I'm trying to calculate some auction budget values for each player using VORP.
I'm at the point where I've calculated the VORP and have allocated total auction dollars to each player using the VORP percentages. However, the way VORP works, players below the baseline get negative points. These players end up getting negative dollars as a budget which obviously makes no sense. I can easily change this so that everyone in this situation goes for $1, but that throws off my total auction budget. The total of all my player budgets is now greater than the total available auction dollars.
How do people normally account for this?
