w/out Marshall, is DEN def good enough to pull out the W vs KC? (1 Viewer)

I'd be more worried about team chemistry than if they are "good enough" to beat K.C.

As I said in the Marshall thread, I'm glad I took San Fran this week as 70% of the other people took Denver.

(Picks had to be in by midnight last evening before the Marshall news broke)

Even as a KC homer, I have to say that people are foolish to view Denver as the underdog - with or without Marshall. I've seen a lot of both teams this year, and although I'll still be cheering for the Chiefs, Denver has a stronger team this year.

It's funny, I checked The Greek two hours AFTER the news about Marshall broke, and Denver was still favored by 13.The game is now off the board. I'll be very curious to see what the new line is. I would guess 10 or 11.

Denver is the better team, but they're inconsistent. They SHOULD win that's why they're favored, but I think it's a distinct possibility they flub this one.I'm looking at the Jets, Bills and Titans in my Survivor Pool, but they all have their own question marks too.

Who is doing that?
Read the thread title.

I think the problem is who is going to score points for Denver?? With Marshall gone, Shef gone, McKinley on IR and Royal possibly not playing due to injury. KC can just stack the box and stop the run.As the other poster noted, Denver is a mess right now and KC could (note I say could) very well keep this game close and sneak one out. I think KC is a better team than Oakland and look what they did to Denver two weeks ago.

I would take the 13 points and KC any day.

They definitely are good enough. I would anticipate Denver to run with Moreno and Buckhalter quite a bit.

Forget the early season start, that's ancient history.

Denver has lost 7 of its last 9. So has KC by the way, but they've lost by 6-7 points in each of their last 3 games. They've been competitive with Charles running the ball, plain and simple.

With Marshall benched, Scheffler benched, Royal hurting, I'm sure a very grumpy locker room because their nutty coach is more concerned with whatever the point is he's trying to make than he is with making the playoffs, there's no way I'd give double digit points in this game. Denver just isn't very good these days.

I picked them in the Shark Pool survivor contest early in the week before all this came down (19 of us remain out of 583), but I'll be changing it before tomorrow. I've lost any real confidence I did have in a Denver win. Sure, they probably still will win, but I have little trust in that right now.
