Wacky Week 13 (1 Viewer)

Shutout

I just can't get over how impressed I am with the Texans (and, no, they are not my favortie team). For a team to have done what they did yesterday with a 3rd strign QB against a solid Falcons team was really impressive to me.

I am surprised the Raiders took the beating they did in Miami but overall the biggest surprise of my day was how the Colts kept their game with the Pats within 20.

I was also impressed that the Texans were able to pull off that win. It was very "Raven-like". Swarming defense, The QB was your typical game manager, conservative, field position. The Texans played well in all 3 phases, and well enough to overcome the injuries to their QB and the loss of AJ.As far as the Raiders, I am not surprised that they lost or even that they lost badly. They have been decimated with injuries on both sides of the ball and even the special teams are now banged up in key positions. Once you saw Richard Seymour begin to lose it with personal foul penalties, you just knew that the game is going to get ugly from there. I couldn't do it myself, but I advised a friend in my league to pick up the Dolphins D this week and start R. Bush. "Trust me", I said. Thank me later. And for the last surprise, that seemed like a joke line to give 20 points to the Colts. No way the Pats were going to cover against a team that is winless and playing for pride. You don't think that gets under their skin seeing a line like that? The Colts were fired up, and the Pats were content to let them score points as long as they got the W. Taking the 20 points...that bet was like free money.

texans look good and certainly deserve alot of credit but for some reason roddy and julio have been dropping passes all year. cost them the game yesterday along with more bone headed penalties on duante robinson.
