Wade Phillips fired, Jason Garrett interim coach (1 Viewer)

So, who had the over on "Post #50" for when this thread somehow became a Felix Jones propaganda thread?Cuz you just won a brand new Chrysler Cordoba! And you can pick up your keys over at Joe's office.
How is what was posted Felix Jones propaganda????The fact I corrected the guy about the number of 100 yard games the Cowboys have rushed for in the past 35 games? :goodposting: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I think it's because you've demonstrated that you can't even make a post about what you had for breakfast without mentioning Felix Jones.
Lol... You are full of what Wade was as a HC.

Mike and Mike referenced an ESPNDallas article (sorry, blocked at work) that mentioned that these three guys were recently coaches on staff with the Cowboys:

Sean Peyton

Todd Haley

+ 1 other guy whose name escapes me.

All are currently HC's in the NFL. Meaningful? Appropos of nothing? Definitely interesting to the discussion at hand.

Uh, no he's not. It's an open secret you have a man-crush on Felix Jones and have been stalking him since he came into the league.

The other is Tony Sporano, Miami's HC.

Things will not be much different, Garrett has already been nuetered by Jones.
I disagree to a point. Garrett is motivated to show he can run the team and should be more than an interim coach. With that as a possibility, he's going to be demanding on the players, many of whom will now be playing for their jobs. Some guys are of course untouchable, but at least half of that starting lineup on both sides is replaceable. I would predict that the team will improve based simply on motivation. Whether that's enough to get Garrett the full time job remains to be seen. As you said though, it will also be interesting to see how much Jerruh continues his old act of stealing the spotlight from his coaches and usurping their authority.

Oh, I'll readily admit I think Jones has the potential to be a GREAT runningback, and have thought so from way before he came into the NFL. But that doesn't take away that cobalt_27 is full of crap. I don't think I've ever posted what I've eaten for breakfast, and the post for which someone accused me of spreading Jones propaganda had nothing to do with whether Jones was good or bad. It was merely a correction of incorrect "facts"

 Yeah switz, I'm pretty sure he was being literal with that.

Just so Jones keeps his hands off of Dom Capers.
As a defensive coordinator? Yes, Dom needs to stay in Green Bay.As a head coach? By all means, Jerry can hire him. Dom showed in his stint in Houston that he is much better suitedat running a defense then running a whole team.
To be fair to Capers his two teams he coached were both expansion teams.
True, but in both situations, his teams improved initially and then regressed. After going 12-4 in his second year with Carolina, he went 7-9 and then 4-12.After going 7-9 in his third year with Houston, he went 2-14 in year 4.He was not able to develop any young talent. He won with Carolina because Polian got him alot of veteran defensive talent to build on. Capers wasnever able to develop the young players when the veteran defensive players left. As for Houston, I think he got dealt a bad hand by having Charlie Casserly as his GM. He was horrible. I think the drafting of David Carr was questionable because they could have had Julius Peppers, but once that decision was made I think Capers compounded the problem by starting Carr from day one behind a very substandard offensive line. Again, Casserly did a terrible job of bringing in young talent, but the talent he did bring in was never developed. Capers was too loyal to coaches who were long-term friends who were doing an awful job. When Capers left the Texans after 4 years, they were essentially still a first year expansion team.

Switz is about 2 steps away from having Felix Jones swear out a protective order against him.

I'm a switzaholic. Don't let 'em keep you down. Felix is the best runner on this team, and he HAS had 2 100 yard games semi-recently. If you expect Garrett to improve things, don't you expect him to do it with his best players? Is Felix the next ADP? Of course not. He's still the best rb in Dallas.
