Waiver wire and FAAB Discussion (Redraft) - Week #4 (going into week 5) (1 Viewer)

I need WR help, not RB help but I put in bids in this order: (signifcantly higher bid on W Marks)
Woody Marks
Eric Ayomanor
Darius Slayton
Romeo Doubs
 
Marks is gone in all my leagues, but beyond him, I don't view any of the other RBs that could be seeing increased playing time this weekend as worth investing much in. Rachaad White if he's available; any time I hear the words "foot sprain" my ears perk up. Maybe Tucker, Demarcado, Carter. But hard to imagine you'd start may of these guys with confidence. I already have White in a 12-team PPR where I'll likely only consider starting him if Pearsall sits (which he probably will, but still). Even there, it would be down to him vs Chuba.
 
Also, I picked up Ayomanor for Tillman and passed on the two Giants WRs (non-PPR league; if it had been PPR I might have considered Wandale). I just feel like we know who those guys are at this point and when you throw in a raw rookie QB, hard to have much confidence. At least with Ayomanor he seems to be emerging as Ward's favorite target
 
I think it's a good time to add Theo Johnson if you're in shallow leagues and trade for him in dynasty. While everyone is dropping a lot of the blind bid dollars on Slayton, Theo Johnson may be the shark move here. I can see teams playing their best CB on Slayton for the remainder of the year.

OK, with Benson on IR Demercado is obviously worth a pickup as well. I'm still not super optimistic, but it's certainly worth buying a lottery ticket

I have way too many TE on my dynasty team (Kittle, Likely, Mason Taylor, Juwan Johnson) but Theo is still available. Trying figure out if I want to drop Juwan and start Theo until Kittle gets back. Likely is frustrating, I have had him forever and keep hoping he gets his chance soon but Andrews just won't go away

Andrews is approaching Jason Witten territory. I didn't think that guy would ever retire. I believe he was 59 when he finally hung his cleats up.

Edited to add: Andrews isn't old, so you'll have to wait at least 20 years.
 
Wow - with some of the big WRs going down (my Tyreek included) WR bidding was furious. I got Ayomanor but it cost me 75%. I planned on getting Isaiah Bond today for nothing, but dang the argument for Theo Johnson is a good one. He's out there as well.

In dynasty, Juwann seems the most droppable. Taysom coming back soon and Saints offense in flux. Not sure how much value he has going forward.

Not much by me. Even leagues with no bidding and only priority rank he’s low for me. I may be stupid, but I’m just not a fan. I don’t see any situation where I would ever play him, even on bye weeks. My teams were lucky enough not to have many of the same players on the same bye week. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
 
Any value in Demarcus Robinson if Pearsall is out? He's not hurt, has produced in the past, and should have a lot of opportunity.

Yes and Juwan dinged up too. I think he goes this week though
 
I dumped my entire FAAB on Woody Marks.

$779/$1000

Truth be told, my running back room is actually okay, but we have the capability to start two flex spots. (Barkley, Henry, Achane, Warren)

I just feel like Woody feels like one of those special pickups that could be a season long game changer. No data to back that up… but the opportunity is there.

Next highest bid was $559 to a guy that REALLY needed RB help.

With $0 budget left, I gotta cross my fingers my team stays fairly healthy, especially in Superflex… but can’t win it all without a little risk right? Push your chips in when opportunity arises.

Beat my opponent by $1 on Kendre Miller. And he really needed him. He’s starting Ollie Gordon as his RB2. He hasn’t accused me of cheating in years (I’m commissioner). But it’s that time lol.

Is either
NYG Wan'Dale Rob OR Slayton worthy of a WR3 spot
over
Franklin or Tucker?

I see them all about the same but wondered if anyone else has a feel for a standout for THIS week.

I would take both over Franklin or Tucker, especially Tre Tucker if it's redraft. If it's dynasty, dropping Franklin would give me pause if my other WRs are solid. Tre Tucker can be sacrificed whatever the league format is.

The bye and injuries have hit me hard this week. No Bijan, DK, Terry or Jennings.

I am forced to put Slayton as WR2 and Charbonnet in the flex at the moment. Would you start any of these guys on the WW over Charbs?
