Waiver Wire & FAAB Discussion prior to the Week 12 games (1 Viewer)

Rotoworld:

Ravens placed J.K. Dobbins on the COVID list.

It's very convenient that both Mark Ingram and Dobbins tested positive on Sunday night rather than pre-game Sunday morning. Both will sit for Thursday's (pending) contest against the Steelers, vaulting Gus Edwards and Justice Hill up the team's depth chart. Edwards in particular averaged 5.44 yards per carry against Pittsburgh's daunting front-seven in Week 8 and is expected to lead Baltimore's backfield in touches since Hill has played 17 snaps all year. Expect Edwards to headline John Daigle's Waiver Wire column on Tuesday.

I just don't think I'll go hard after Gus Edwards, either by spending a big chunk of FAAB or using a high WW priority #. He's most-likely a one-week rental against the best D in the league.

But the Ravens play the next Thursday as well, so there are only 7 days between their games this week. How soon have most players returned from positive covid tests, this season? Maybe Gus will handle the load in week 13 as well?

Keep in mind.......they are playing the Steeler's defense which is pretty solid against the run.
Gus and Dobbins ran over that D a few weeks ago.

EDIT: In case people forgot:

Edwards: 16/87/1, 5.4 YPC

Dobbins: 15/113/0, 7.5 YPC; 1/2 targets for 8 yards

Desperate for a DEF...any suggestions?   Sneaky one week pick up?  The pickings are slim.....

I’d drop Murray for him. Seems to be the Kamara show and Taysom also runs a lot.
Maybe but a bigger lottery ticket than Hill and Kamaras foot has already been bothering him some.

Who knows what I will do.  Id probably still start Damian Harris over Hill anyway

Right, then consider the schedule. Brian Hill against NO, TB, and KC 3 of the final 5 games? Blegh. I'm only interested in Hill if I'm jammed up this week.

Giants? Seahawks? Maybe the Packers
IF only they were avail.  I have PITT so this is pre-emptive in nature and if they end up not playing.

The likes of CHI, PHI, CIN, SF, JAX, TEN, NYJ are avail...which one sticks out to you as a hail Mary DEF for the week LOL....THANKS

Oof lol I guess a toss up between bengals, titans or bears. I’d would go Bears but it’s against the packers so I’d probably flip a coin between the Bengals and Titans lol sorry not much help.

Appreciate it none the less - thank you

Hill is a must add considering that Gurley has a knee injury. It’s not inconceivable that Gurley is shut down for the rest of the season. Not saying that is going to happen, but I did see Dr. Morse from the fantasy docs suggest that he suffered a likely MCL sprain. A similar injury to what Nick Chubb had. It could be a one week absence or it could take a month for him to get back.

Of course, I’ve been holding Hill all year

Finally dropped him last week
Sounds like me looking in the mirror at my fantasy decisions this year lol. Luckily have a decent team and have been able to pull off close wins even when I play players like Ezekiel this week over Gibson. Obviously not close to done but even after that brutal mistake still projected to win 77%. Have my fingers crossed.
