Waiver Wire & FAAB Discussion - Week #10 (1 Viewer)

Any hope for Adonai Mitchell in NY after the trade? Seems like a lot of targets available.
Problem is the QBs. It's not a good passing offense. It's not even a mediocre passing offense. It's low volume and low efficiency. So he'll have more targets but they probably won't be good ones.

The Jets offense is the real-life version of the joke about how a restaurant's food sucks and the portions are too small

Juwan Johnson seems more interesting now that Shaheed was traded. Picked up him in the league where I lost Kraft.
Ooh, hadn't thought of that. I'm scuffling for receivers in a non-PPR league with a WR/TE flex, plus Gadsden has his bye in Week 12. Johnson might be worth a pickup there (alternative is probably Josh Downs)

Sneaky pickup but the range of outcome is still low floor -> massive upside.

The NYJ traded away two of their best defensive players (Sauce + Williams).
At the same time picked up a talented WR2 (Mitchell).

Justin Fields (here we go again) can probably be picked up for free.
I expect more negative game scripts and that is when Fields has delivered QB1 numbers.
This week against Clev is the toughest defense they will face ROS.

Fields has been a legit fantasy stud when healthy. Even in the league I play in where the scoring is biased toward pocket passers (6pt TDs, 0.25 points-per-completion) he has been very good.

Only problem is whether he can hold onto the job IRL, which is hardly a guaranteed thing

Flacco is sitting on the WW still and I need QB help bad (Only have McCarthy on my team right now).

Who would you drop for Flacco?

- Allgeier
- Bigsby
- Jayden Reed (In my IR spot but can shift someone else there)

Any of those is fine to drop especially if you need a QB. Flaccos been top 5 since going to Cincy.
They have a bye this week
Still would. Get the jump. Do you really need Algeier or Bigsby (unless you own Bijan and Barkley). And Jayden Reed is nice potential but who knows when he comes back and GB is a crowded room.

I wouldn't start Fields EVER.
He had 1 good game all year bc of the matchup.
Neg game script means more sacks n turnovers.

I count 3 great games 3 horrible games

4 great games (Pitt/Miami/Dallas/Cinci), two bad games (Den/Car) and one where he got injured (Buffalo), though the injury occurred in the 4th quarter and he was hardly lighting the world on fire.

But it's also true that one of those bad games got him benched, and he only started the Cinci game because Tyrod was hurt. Unless he puts together a string of good games and locks down the job, it would be hard to start him with a ton of confidence ROS

When Daniels went down my plan was to stream McCarthy (or maybe Penix or Mariota) for one week and then ride Flacco ROS. Fortunately I was able to swing a trade for Stafford. But I still may pick up Flacco just in case he stays hot (and to ensure no one else gets him).

Agree that it's mostly a coin flip as to which of those three you drop. I'm generally loath to get handcuffs, and I also don't have a ton of confidence in Reed coming back strong enough to be an every week starter. If you are going to drop Bigsby, at least wait until you're sure Saquon's not hurt coming off the bye

I’m having tight end woes as well after losing Kraft.

A lot of names available. But all seem to sort of blend together. Add to that I have no faab left so I’ve just sort of lined up 9-10 guys for waivers tonight and playing the prioritization game based on ROS rankings and my own gut instincts… as well as reading @travdogg post and taking that into consideration.

I’ve got Johnson third on my pecking order behind Kinkaid and Pitts… but he could probaly outperform both with a strong target share.

Johnson has a great floor. You can usually pencil him in for 7-60 every week. Problem is with Shough, his ceiling is maybe 18.

Kincaid of that group offers the highest upside. Allen has no true top WR and Kincaid has been quietly producing like the top target.

Pitts is erratic but they have some great matchups coming up.

What order would you rank these guys here ppr WR:

Tez Johnson TB
Parker Washington Jags
Slayton Giants (forgot first name being lazy)
Douglas Pats
I like slayton the best. I think hes being slept on, has a great schedule and a good qb that is lacking weapons
I ranked them:

Parker - BTJ banged up to the point he's droppable. Meyers will take time to gel with QB. I consider him to be the #1 Jags WR going forward. He got 19 targets in two weeks.

Tied Slayton - For the reasons you stated. and Pop Douglas - He plays the slot. with Boutte hamstring, it's basically only him and Diggs right?

Johnson- He may very well be a thing with Evans gone, Godwin a shell of himself. He's looking to be the #2 guy.

Agree or disagree for what reason(s)?

Missed on Kincaid and got Andrews as my Kraft replacement.

He scored a TD in 7 of his last 8 games last year. So I’m hoping last week was the beginning of that trend beginning again.

This week I wonder if it's Tez over Washington.

Washington will probably be the #1 target, but HOU's secondary is nails.

Egbuka is probably going to draw Gonzalez in coverage. That could leave Tez to an otherwise vulnerable secondary.

Tre Tucker is sitting out there and I want to scoop him up. There aren't any other #1 WR's on teams out there. However someone else panic dropped Shaheed too.

Which WR would you prefer ROS?
