Waiver Wire & FAAB Discussion - Week 13 (1 Viewer)

I must have almost picked up Noah Gray 30 times the past few weeks. I think I'm almost gonna pick him up again. Tds are hard to chase but 4 in 2 games isn't too bad for the tight end position. Ha ha

Gus Edwards (if available)
McNichols (at least for a week)

N Brown WAS
Vele DEN
Tucker LVR
D Moore CAR... Not sure what happened here. 10 targets on 94% of the snaps, 6/81 with a TD. Guessing this was a result of Coker not playing?
Thielen CAR
S Shepard TB

Jonnu MIA (likely gone, but if not....)
Hockenson (ditto)
Gray KC
T Johnson NYG
Stover HOU

Gus Edwards (if available)
McNichols (at least for a week)

N Brown WAS -- fools copper
Vele DEN - proving his worth for a desperate play
Tucker LVR - fools gold
D Moore CAR... Not sure what happened here. 10 targets on 94% of the snaps, 6/81 with a TD. Guessing this was a result of Coker not playing? - fools gold
Thielen CAR - not ideal, but could come in handy in week 14 for those with bye issues
S Shepard TB - fools copper

Jonnu MIA (likely gone, but if not....) - He won't be on most waiver wires, but sure, get him if he is.
Hockenson (ditto) - He won't be on most waiver wires, but sure, get him if he is
Gray KC - I may be using him in week 14. Not because I want to, but bye issues
T Johnson NYG - Good dynasty asset, but I don't see trusting him in a starting lineup
Stover HOU - See T Johnson

Agree with a lot of that, but it obviously depends on league size, format, etc. as well. Brown, Shepard, and Tucker are rostered in a bunch of my leagues already. And, I'm in leagues where they're not where, if I can get 5-6 targets, 3-ish grabs, and 30+ yards per week from them, they're worth rostering. That said, I realize not everyone is in that position.

Put it this way.... I started Dylan Laube last week in one league.

You're a little too happy with Bryce Young.
Or are you?

I think that's the tough Q this week

Tyler Boyd hasn't been good. He has one or two catches each week.
Last week, with an obvious enormous advantage by the Texans DL, Callahan had Levis fire 4 or 5 snap n throws to Boyd. He finished 5 for 66 and had one notable play in there.
It looks like a ripoff or a modification to the way the Pats used to do when their line had bad years. I've long wondered why many teams don't copy it. It's so simple and effective.

Will they continue to? Because NPF has been a prob all year and it seems unwise to expect different now. Was it just because the Texans have great edges?

Boyd could be a desperate bye week cover.
Or
He could go back to her lost a step and is good for one or two carches

Feel like Vidal is slipping through the cracks quite a bit. Assuming Dobbins is out, Gus will assuredly get most of the early down work, but Vidal probably gets the passing down/3rd down work and perhaps some of the early work if Gus struggles (which is certainly possible).

In a large league (start 3WR, and a flex), who is the worst receiver here that I drop for Vidal/Gus?

MVS, NWI, or Vele? I feel like my bench’s shouldn’t all of a sudden be receivers. I have three top RB’s so I don’t have any more.

Personally I'd drop NWI. I think MVS and NWI are one-trick ponies that have excelled recently on a few targets that led to long TDs. Probably not sustainable although MVS may get a bigger target share going forward with few other receiving options around him. Vele seems to be on the rise in terms of targets and production.

Agreed. Not to mention Gus has dealt with injuries already this season and is a bit long in the tooth. If Gus gets hurt or simply fails to produce, Harbaugh could give his hand-picked fresh-legged rookie a shot at the lead role.

I'm looking ahead to wk 15, I have Rhomondre on bye. WW has Vidal and Bigsby available. Wk 15 has Vidal v KC and Bigsby v Ten. I'm going w Bigsby stash this wk and likely start next wk
