If you're in an IDP league, Mark Anderson would be a good pickup, especially since Ogunleye could be out next week. I just grabbed him in one of my leagues.![]()

i was just about to call him out also, one of the best leagues i play in is one that has severe roster restrictions, so none of the above are taken. it does not mean that we don't know about them, though.I was making a joke in reference to some clown getting all high and mighty in the "waiver wire darling" thread. Of course I don't suggest that Herron should be taken in any "shark" league. Here we go again, wake up Woz.Noah Herron is available in MANY leagues. When Morency was dealt to GBay, manyowners dumped Herron as he was 3rd string at the time.now go back to sleep, Woz.Bryant Johnson. Also, you should make a disclaimer stating that you play in guppie leagues and it's only in those leagues that guys like Washington, Johnson, Herron, Baskett, and Hakim are available because there are apparently some members on here that are far above the level. I hear in one guys league the owners are so good someone just spent his entire bid money on Chuck Rogers!![]()
Leonard Pope is third on my list for bye wek replacement of Ben Watson.First is Des Clark - dropped last week by the Gates ownerm oibviously won't be on many WWsSecond is Troupe - just can't leave him on the WW.Third is Pope.Might even go with a zero from the TE spot - only two positions I can afford to swap out, and I need to take a shot at getting both Bryant Johnson (he is doubly good for me since I own Boldin) and Leinert (my QBs suck - BJohn, ASmith, McNair - I need upside).I'll likely miss on Bryant, get Leinert and end up with one of those TEs - I'll then have a spot to play with the next week when I have to get a b/u kicker for Wilkins.Really up in the air on what to do if I get BOTH Johnson and Leinert.I'm going with Leonard Pope for two reasons: 1) The absence of Fitz may give this kid a few more chances to progress and catch a few red zone targets 2) With the lack of quality (i.e., productive) starting TEs this season, he's worth a shot in case he breaks through. LJ
Depends on your league scoring and yourt team needs. But, that is really an ACF query. In a vacuum, I'd go for Johnson if I needed short term starter help, I'd get Washogton if I wanted a guywho might be worth starting in a few weeks (I took Maurice Drew two weeks ago b/c I could afford to stash him on my bench instead of grabbing Jennings, whoh ah sbeen in his owner's starting lineup as his WR3 every week since). If you had the top priority, would you go with Bryant Johnson or Leon Washington?
He doesn't fit in.I personally would not drop Cotchery for him.If I'm holding Fitz, R Wayne, T. Glenn and J. Cotchery in a 1pt/10yd league that only allows a maximum of 4 receivers per team, where would Bryant Johnson fit in?![]()
Is he going to play this week?I need a TE to cover for Watson and the FA cupboard is bone dry.wannabee said:i will add Jerramy Stevens who was not drafted in several leagues I am in. There are several underproducing TEs out there that Stevens is a good risk. I dropped Troupe for Stevens in one 16 teamer. Can't do much worse ....
I nabbed Stevens in my Dynasty league and I am stoked. With the way that Ben Watson is performing, I am very happy to get Stevens.wannabee said:i will add Jerramy Stevens who was not drafted in several leagues I am in. Is this just speculation based on Stallworth's "history"? Last I saw he was "day to day" and might be good to go for the next game.Baskett certainly looked good yesterday, but McNabb is the king of spreading it around, so I'm not sure you can count on any of the Eagles' WRs to produce consistently. Fox showed the key graphic yesterday during the broadcast - - someone different has led PHI in receiving in each of their games. One thing you CAN count on is that Stallworth will be pretty much useless for the rest of the season, but I don't know that Baskett can be counted on to capitalize on that. Also, the Eagles' sked toughens a bit AND that secondary performance by Dallas yesterday was one of the five or so worst by any NFL team this season. One last note: in dynasty, I think Johnson is real gold.So which WR do you go after first, Bryant Johnson or Hank Baskett?
If true, Welker obviously becomes a big time target against the Jets.(KFFL) ESPNews reports Miami Dolphins WR Marty Booker (shoulder) is likely to miss the team's Week 6 game.
We're in similar boats, except I have the #2 WW priority.Leonard Pope is third on my list for bye wek replacement of Ben Watson.First is Des Clark - dropped last week by the Gates ownerm oibviously won't be on many WWsSecond is Troupe - just can't leave him on the WW.Third is Pope.Might even go with a zero from the TE spot - only two positions I can afford to swap out, and I need to take a shot at getting both Bryant Johnson (he is doubly good for me since I own Boldin) and Leinert (my QBs suck - BJohn, ASmith, McNair - I need upside).I'll likely miss on Bryant, get Leinert and end up with one of those TEs - I'll then have a spot to play with the next week when I have to get a b/u kicker for Wilkins.Really up in the air on what to do if I get BOTH Johnson and Leinert.
What is the roundtable? I am a paying customer, and normally just look at the 250 forward.Wed afternoon? We *might* have the roundtable out by then. Not likely, but we will be discussing Big Ben versus the three rookie QBs.Won't give away any pay content, but I sided with Leinart over Big Ben from here on out.
Alexander still 'iffy,' but Stevens returns to SeahawksFROM ESPNIs he going to play this week?I need a TE to cover for Watson and the FA cupboard is bone dry.wannabee said:i will add Jerramy Stevens who was not drafted in several leagues I am in. Yes, very good to read. I wish I would have noticed it earlier in the year. Good stuff guys. The roundtable is fun - it's fun to participate and it reads well once Maurile puts his magic on it.
Is Perry officially off the PUP list? I think he is eligable to come off, but has he been cleared to play?Regarding Chris Henry, if he serves as WR3, will he also serve as Rudi's backup or will that remain Kenny Watson's function? I realize its all speculation at this point, but I would like to get some opinions. If Perry is going to serve double-duty that would make him especially valuable to Johnson owners.
I think PUP is through week 6, so he's not able to play until week7. Then he'd have to be cleared to play.Is Perry officially off the PUP list? I think Fitz is done for the year, as far as production goes. He will eventually come back, but in what capacity? He has either a hammy TEAR or BAD pull. That lingers on for a long time, usually has effects on the player if he tries to come back. Randy Moss....... those who had him the year he hurt his hamstring didn't know what to do with him week to week. He'd play 3 snaps, or just as a decoy, was never the same the rest of the year. THIS IS A BAD HAMSTRING INJURY GUYS, NOT JUST A TWEAK. Fitz will be more of a problem deciding to play him or not if you keep him around. Redraft: CUT HIM if you need the room for a replacement, he will be more than wasted space, he'll be a burden.The_Borg said:If I'm holding Fitz, R Wayne, T. Glenn and J. Probably just coachspeak, but there it is, anyhow. The News
Cardinals head coach Denny Green is leaving open the possibility of using Troy Walters as his starter this week instead of Bryant Johnson, who would then remain the team's third wideout. "That's something we'll look at over the next couple days," Green told the Arizona Republic.
Our View
Johnson's fantasy value was on the rise after it was announced Fitzgerald would miss at least two games, but if he was to remain the team's third wideout, his value would fall. We'll keep an eye on this situation to see who Green goes with as his starter.
The main reason is that more people will be looking to add Johnson. I am organziing my WW priority for Johnson #1 (since he will draw more interest from my league, and because I think trotting out Boldin at WR1 and Johnson at WR3 is a great combo for the next month). Leinart #2 b/c I donlt think as many of my leaguemates will go for a QB - and if they do, it will be for abye filler, and Leinart faces the Bears. In short, there is no way I'll take Leinart 1st and get Johnson on the comeback with my 2nd WW pick - I *might* get them both if I get Johnson first. That's the extent of my thinking.Marc - Any reason why you are targeting Bryant over Leinart? Especially since Leinart is more long term than Johnson (presumably).
In a small league would Stevens really be worth picking up? No denying his talent, but with all of those WRs will get get any looks (ala Jason Witten)?Alexander still 'iffy,' but Stevens returns to SeahawksFROM ESPNIs he going to play this week?I need a TE to cover for Watson and the FA cupboard is bone dry.wannabee said:i will add Jerramy Stevens who was not drafted in several leagues I am in. He's expected to take 30 snaps in the Rams game.
Excellent points (as usual). Also, if you look at the Seahawks' roster, they are DYING for a receiver with size - all of Branch, DJax and Engram are 6' or under and around 200 lbs. hacket's their biggest receuiver at 6'2" and 199 lbs - not exactly an imposing red zone receiver.Stevens makes for the team's best big target at 6'7" 265 - that is a Giant receiver among the smurfs on the team.Scoring in the red zone could be geared towards Stevens with Alexander out.
