Does your redraft league open the waiver wire before week 1, after your initial draft?

Just curious in how many leagues (mainly auction redraft) that the waiver wire opens before week 1. Since in an auction, an owner does not have to fill up a full roster is it fair to open the waiver wire before week 1 to allow them to supplement their roster?

Just make the rule that you have to fill the roster. Must purchase a starting lineup and fill your roster. That is our rule. Then let waivers run if you want to.

yeah.

we had our draft on Saturday.

on Wednesday at 6PM BB waivers cleared - no one did any moves

and now FCFS are open - 2 moves were made. so far.

Most drafts are held before the cuts to the final rooster. With the internet there are fewer surprises, but in the past I have seen teams kicker get cut. We allow for pickups in Week 0....I got James Davis.

we used to.. sometimes our auction is early in the preseason, I hawked Steve Smith, Deion Branch the years they broke before the season and after the auction.... the next year the league voted it closed until after week1
