I have a little more info from the last email...

One last thing that I thought of, and I'm sure you noticed it. But in our league you can start 2 QB's, one starter and one at the flex.

In our league last year a few players excelled in points by a long shot...here are the top 10 point leaders in our league last year...

C Johnson - 413.9 pts (I'm glad that he slid to me at 12th overall - I ended up getting 2nd in the playoffs by less than 1 point)

A. Rodgers - 384.1 pts (drafted by the guy who won the league)

MJD - 332.5 points

Ray Rice - 330.1 pts

Drew Brees - 325.4 pts

A. Peterson - 324.5 (#1 overall pick - last year)

M. Schaub - 322.7

Tono Romo - 322.0

A. Johnson - 320.9

P. Manning - 314.7

The next few in order are Brady, Big Ben, Favre, R. Moss, P Rivers, Miles Austin, Reggie Wayne, Frank Gore.

What I noticed is that this list of top people is QB heavy, and there are very few RB's.

After looking at this I am thinking that getting a top QB is a huge advantage. Look at how far above the others the first 2 guys are... I was shocked. I have the 2nd overall pick... is picking AP the right choice?

Hi JeffMy draft is on Monday and our scoring is a little different than typical PPR leagues, so can I ask how you would approach it?PPR, 12 teams, 18 rounds, start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1 flex(QB,RB, WR, or TE) 1PK, 1DEF/ST, non-keeper league but here are a few differences that I noticed from typical scoring...1) QB's - passing TD = 3pts, but there is a 3pt bonus for any passing TD of 40+ yards.2) RB's/WR's/TE's = any rushing or receiving TD of 40+ yards is a 3pt bonus on top of the 6 pts for a TD, so a 50 yard rushing TD gets 14 pts and +1 if its a reception, see what I mean? Here are my questions...1) Any tips for this drafting point system? Meaning any players that you would value more?2) I'm drafting #2 and plan to start with AP, but was thinking about going RB, WR, WR, RB, QB/TE for the first 5 rounds, is this a good idea to have a strategy like that, or not?Thanks for your advice.Scott aka Pyro boy

Hey Scott,I definitely would go RB/WR/WR in the first three. There are usually decent QBs available in the 4/5 turn. I might also go WR in the 5th and TE in the 6th. There should be a TE like Celek, Davis, or Witten available. I would then load up on WRs, and look to hodgepodge RB2/3/4 with guys like Harrison, Fred Jackson, etc.The one RB I like in the 6th-8th round is Reggie Bush in PPR leagues. Add he and a couple of others and you are in great shape.

Sorry, I did not read this one first ... just take them in order. Look to see the WR/QB left at 2/3 and take the best value of the two positions and then do the same at the 4/5 turn as long as one of the top 6-7 QBs are there. I would wait if not and grab Ben later.

One thing to consider, I do have a trade offer in to someone where I send P. thomas and m. Wallace for D. Williams (Car), as of now my team is below however

I like your team and still like Turner at the 7 spot. To me, your season may hinge on the health of best. You have a good squad, but will need best and stafford to remain healthy. I do like both, though

I was planning on offering MJD and Mike Thomas for Larry Ftizgerald and Joesph Addai. Do you think this would be a fair trade or would I not be giving up enough? Would swapping out Thomas for Maclin make this more fair?

Hey caddy should get the majority of carries. Week 4 is a long way off ... so I would want to wait and watch to see how the first few games go before committing. Huggins has more upside, but caddy is the primary back

You have a strong squad. I think you give McCoy a week (and start him) even though Floyd and Moss could go off. You are very strong at RB/WR. Only need Kolb to be "ok" and you should be in great shape

I would keep MJD and start Maclin and Breaston at least for a week. If you need to do the move if not happy with the WR production in week one. I would like the deal for you getting Fitz/Addai if Breaston and company do not look good

I had the 8th pick and was thinking of going WR/WR but everyone was avoiding Steven Jackson and I got him with my second. I waited on QB as Romo and Schaub went early 3rd round. I just missed out getting Big Ben as my backup QB and I feel very weak at QB with Stafford(although I think he will surprise this year. What do you think of my team and who should I drop to pair with Stafford?(i'm thinking dropping Washington)

Quick question. In my 12 team NON-PPR league with normal scoring otherwise, for my #2RB this week, would you start J. Stewart against the Giants, or Reggie Bush against the Vikings? I'm leaning towards Bush, even without the points per reception.

No need to pick up a QB2 now. See what happens. You have little to gain grabbing a QB now. But, I like Orton best of those choices. He and Garrard should score most.I would hold tight with the starters you have.

I like Bush very slightly over Stewart. I expect NYG to get up in the game and force CAR to throw

team one: I would start Favre. He should be passing often. Also, have to go with Nicks this week. . NYG at DEFBowe is a guy I would look to sell if he starts hot. You could probably combine he and Meachem and get a top WR1 typeteam two: no way on Wells. I would start Charles and Foster and hope for big games. At WR, Harvin, TO, and MSW. Hartley and GB to start

If you are giving up McCoy instead of Cooley x 2 I do not like it. Any deal where you are not giving up McCoy, White, or Ryan .. I like it.
