Hey Jeff:

Appreciate the help all season long. You guys do great work.

Championship game this weekend. Mulling a few lineup decisions. Standard scoring except .5ppr

WR2 - Jordy or Miles Austin?

Leaning Miles but I'm concerned that's a kneejerk reaction to Nelson's bad game last week. I believe GB is still playing for home field, but if San Fran loses, then might rest players. If GB takes foot off the gas, Miles looks like a higher upside play.

D - Denver on the road against Buffalo or Detroit at home against SD? Leaning Denver against a fading Buffalo team.

Appreciate the help.

Hi Jeff,

I continue to feel like I am chasing the previous week's points. This week it's Mathews, a couple weeks ago it's Greene! These three RBs have been driving me batty all year. Anyhow, I have the same quandary as last week with my WR and RB.

1 pt = 10 yds

10 pt = TD rush/rec

5 pts = TD pass

Must start two RB from R.Bush(@NE), S.Green(vsNYG), or R.Mathews(@DET)

Must start two WR from AJGreen(vsARZ), M.Wallace(vsStL), or V.Jackson(@DET)

While I am at it...Any thoughts on Rodgers? He will be playing right?

Editted to fix iPad goofiness.

Jeff,

Have to pick between Garcon who let me down, Williams, L. moore and little went off of course last week.

Also is any of these Rb's worth a flex play over any of the Wr's

Thanks,

God Bless, and Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Hey Jeff,

Need some starting help for championship game

Qb- Rodgers, should I go with grossman? If SF loses Saturday will they pull Rodgers early?

Rb- pick 2- chris Johnson, Adrian Peterson, macgahee, ivory

Wr/Te- pick 4- Calvin Johnson, Gaffney, garçon, boldin, denarius Moore, mike Williams(tb)

Def- NE or Tenn

Thanks

Jeff,

Same here...need help with the championship game. Standard PPR league. Stafford or Romo at QB? Then, 2 RBs, 2WRs, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE) and 1 TE choosing from Helu, Kevin Smith, Bradshaw, Gore, Michael Bush...Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Stevie Johnson, Vincent Jackson...Brandon Pettigrew or Kellen Winslow. Thanks again, Jeff.

Merry Christmas and God Bless.

Hey Jeff,

Managed to make the championship in both my leagues this year, but have a few tough decisions to make: Both leagues are PPR.

1) Nicks vs Revis Island or L Robinson vs PHI. My gut tells me that Robinson may be the most productive DAL WR this week with PHI's coverage, and that's how things went when they played each other earlier in the year. But is Revis island scary enough to bench Nicks for him? My other starter is Fitz. My opponent in this game has great matchups across the board, so I feel like I may need to swing for the fences here. Start my stud, or go with the upside pick? Another option is Antonio Brown, but I don't like him this week even if a gimpy Big Ben plays.

2) Demaryius Thomas vs BUF, Miles Austin vs PHI, and L Robinson vs PHI. Pick 2. My other starter is Fitz in this league as well.

3) My opponent didn't set himself up well and had CHI D vs GB, so I hoarded waiver wire Defenses to limit his options this week. Now the question is, which do I start? Scoring for sacks/turnovers, D TD's, and points allowed. No scoring for yards allowed.

CIN vs ARI (not as good w/o Leon Hall, but ARI is very turnover/sack prone)

KC vs OAK (normally not appealing, but they pitched a shutout against OAK with two pick-6's earlier this year (although it was Palmer's first game), and played great against GB last week)

WASH vs MIN (also not normally appealing, but has a great matchup if they can get a lead and force MIN to pass. My only concern is that w/ AP back, they may lean on the run?)

SEA vs SF (the best defense of the bunch, but SF limits turnovers by playing very conservative. Sacks against them seem to be very hit or miss)

CAR vs TB (Bottom of my list, but like I said, I was limiting my opponent's options. He ended up grabbing NO D to play vs ATL :P )

How would you rank these?

Thanks in advance!

Jeff,

Last regular season week in 12 team league with standard performance scoring. In the playoffs, which start wildcard week, but jockeying for 1, 2 and 3 seed. Hurt myself last week by benching Hillis and SSmith, want to try to get the right pieces in place this week.

I need to play any 4 of these...

SSmith vs TB

RBush @ NE

KSmith vs SD

Finley vs Chi

Bowe vs Oak

Hillis @ Balt

Thanks for help, and I hope you have a great holiday!

Hey Jeff!

I am in a standard non ppr keeper league and am able to keep two players. I have received a lot of mixed feedback on who to keep and why and why not. My top three prospects are A.j Green, DeMarco Murray, and Ryan Mathews. I also get the first round third overall pick next draft. I think A.J green has proven to be a great if not elite caliber receiver and DeMarco Murray of course had a great break out season and should start next year. Mathews is now stepping into the role SD wanted in the first place and has strung together weeks of great numbers, if he does this all next year he will be a monster but does have Tolbert and an injury prone past. Who do you think I should keep?

Jeff. It's all on the line for me this week and I need to decide: Non PPR, 1 pt for 10 yards, 6 pts for TD:

Chris Johnson

LeSean McCoy

Shonn Greene

Ahmad Bradshaw

I can only start 3. McCoy seems like the no-brainer to me, and I think that I have to go with Greene as well. But I can't decide between Bradshaw and Johnson. Both are dinged up. Both will probably start. What to do? Who do I bench? Help!!

Hi Wannabee,

I have a strategy question for you. Much like the real life colts, I have Tom Brady an have the right to sign Andrew luck to a long term deal. It is a salary cap keeper league and Brady is on a 3 year deal.

My team is below and we start 1 QB, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 flex and 1 TE. The scoring is based on what footballguys uses in its dynasty rankings.

QB: Tom Brady, Ryan Mallet, Andrew Luck

RB: Darren McFadden, Trent Richardson, Mark Ingram, Shane Vereen

WR: Wes Welker, Brandon Marshall, Julio Jones, Vincent Brown

TE: Brent Celek

I can sign McFadden expensively to a 1 to 3 year. Or I could try to couple him with luck to get a less expensive lesean McCoy or an as expensive Arian foster. Or could trade him with Ingram though Ingram is very very cheap on my roster and signed long term? Or I could trade luck alone for a wr or rb? Or I could keep luck as brady's eventual replacement.

Any advice is appreciated!

Gandalf

ages as his replacement?

Any advice is appreciated!

On the prior post, I could also pick up another good rb, possibly top rb, in the auction. And also another good wr. So my team could accommodate those extra players and keep everyone I listed above. Thanks! Part I my worry is wig mcfadden's injury history and putting him on a long term deal.

Since non-PPR, I would keep the two RBs. They each should be taken over Green next year in redrafts which is one reason to take the more valuable options

I agree that it comes down to a beat up Johnson to a gimpy Bradshaw. I would lean to the upside of Johnson

First choice would be to get McCoy on cheap giving McFadden and LuckSecond choice would be to sign both - McFadden & Luck - as long as possible

McFadden is a star when healthy so I would only move him if you can upgrade to a star RB

Jeff, Boldin was my number 3 WR in a non-ppr standard scoring league. All I have is Tampa Mike and Greg Little. Williams has a much better match-up but he laid up a zero last week. What do you think.

I would lean toward Little with Seneca Wallace at QB for cleve ... and cleve should be down early and passing often

Hey Jeff! Not sure if you'll be around before game time, but looking for some last minute advice! I liked how things were looking until the last week or two, but I made it this far, so lets see what can happen for this week! This is for the league in my signature (no-ppr).

My RB2 options are all looking banged up and I am just hoping whoever I pick will finish the game! Need one of Helu, Felix, KSmith, Bradshaw. Kahlil Bell is also an option on the wire.

Also, which 3 WRs would you start? White, Fitzgerald, Wallace, Harvin, Robinson

Thanks, and have a very Merry Christmas!

Hi Jeff, hope all is well!

Listen, I've been sweating and agonizing over my lineup decision for the championship all week long. To the point that I can't even sleep, it's past 3am on the east coast. I need some expert advice, and figured I'd turn to the site that has me in 3 championships and a 2nd round this season. So it's my RB's and WR's that I am stressing over. I am in a 12-team ESPN Standard scoring league (non-PPR). Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, Flex RB/WR, Flex WR/TE, TE, D/ST, K, 6 bench spots. I posted my roster below for your reference.

I can not figure out who to start between Kevin Smith, Marshawn Lynch, and Willis McGahee. I think Smith can be a difference maker in this game, and the Chargers D does not scare me, he can put up points on the ground or in the air in the points in time we’ve seen him operating at 100%. He could also re-injure himself, which we’ve seen happen as well this season, so I am hesitant and struggling because I know what he can do at full capacity. Lynch has literally been a beast, and he’s carried me to this point following Forte’s untimely injury. The 49ers D is rock solid, but he’s been running so well it kills me to even consider benching him. He could either be the guy to break this 49ers D’s 15 game streak, or cost me the title if common sense prevails and the 49ers D shuts him down. McGahee has the easiest matchup against Buffalo, but I’m concerned if there are any lingering injuries there, or if he splits with Lance Ball. It’s an easy matchup with still unpredictable variables enough for me to question putting him into the starting lineup. Need some serious help in picking 2 of those 3.

WR is a little more clear cut. I have VJax, AJ Green, and Brandon Lloyd. VJax’s groin injury really caught me off guard with regards to its significance today. I picked up Golden Tate to start at 4PM should he not be able to go, since my opponent preemptively picked up DHB and Titus Young, chalk it up to gamesmanship I guess. Also I have Stafford and he has Calvin and Brees, so it would not shock me to see him start Calvin and Young to neutralize Stafford, but we’ll see at kickoff. I’m rolling with AJ regardless of the shoulder injury. I am just going to hope for the best, I can’t bench him he’s been solid all season long. Lloyd I am just rolling with. Kellen at the helm is more than concerning, but I am going with my 6th rounder and hoping for the best out of him, since he IS the St. Louis passing game. My other options are Mike Williams TB and Damian Williams, and I’d feel even less comfortable starting one of them.

Also let me know if I’m over thinking this at D/ST. I was planning to start the Cowboys. I have the Pats on the bench, and the Redskins are FA. I know this is a big move, so I wanted to run it by someone like yourself first before I dive into a move like that.

Thanks so much in advance, you guys are awesome and have really helped me out this season. Merry Christmas and much success in your own championships this week!

:football:

QB: Stafford

RB: Ray Rice, Marshawn Lynch, Willis McGahee, Kevin Smith, Matt Forte (Out)

WR: VJax, AJ Green, Lloyd, Mike Williams TB, Damian Williams, Golden Tate

TE: Gronkowski

D/ST: Cowboys, Patriots

K: Hanson

Happy Christmas Eve morning Jeff...

In view of all the injury updates this morning, wanted to get a last minute check with you if you're around today. Need to get my lineup in by about 11:30 eastern time. I'm on the fence on two calls in view of injuries and other issues...

First, I need to start either Bowe or Finley in standard scoring league (no PPR).

Second, I need to start two of these in 6/TD, 1/20 yds, no PPR league: Bradshaw, Cruz, Torrey Smith, LMoore.

Appreciate the last minute vote. Enjoy the games, and I wish you and your family a happy and healthy holiday.

Sorry you did not win. Usually the undervalued players in redraft are those either coming off injury (Britt, Charles, ADP) or with new opportunity (say Maclin if DeSean leaves or Collie with Peyton coming back).
