I like Owen Daniels most every week. He should be in top 6-8 at end of season

10 team redraft, standard scoring no PPR, 1QB, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, 1 Flex(RB or WR), 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DefMy teamQB's J. Culter, D. McNabbRB's B. Westbrook, M. Barber, B. Jacobs, S. Slaton, R. Brown, L. McClainWR's TO, M. Colston, Calvin Johnson, V. JacksonTE's C. CooleyK Matt PraterDEF MinnesotaI was thinking of making an offer to the B. Marshall owner. What do you think of trading B. Jacobs & C. Johnson for B. Marshall or do I just stay with what I have. I started out winning the first two games and now I have lost 2 games.
I like the move. 10 team leagues are all about studs. If you make the move, you will be reliant on Slaton and Brown, which should be fine. I would make the offer.
What about Steve Smith for those two or is that giving up to much for Smith other owener did not like the trade for Marshall.

Hello Jeff,

I have both of these offers on the table right now, just can't decide which. It's a Dynasty, non ppr, standard scoring.

Trade 1

I give LT

I get ADP

Trade 2

I give LT/Berrian/2nd rounder

I get McFadden/R.Williams(Det)/1st rounder (gauranteed top 4 pick)

I play in a 10-team high performance, PPR league. We start 1QB, 2RBs, 2WRs, 1 TE, 1 Flex RB/WR/TE, 1 DT, 1 KCurrent roster:Roethlisberger, HasselbeckWestbrook, FWP, McGahee, Norwood, C-Buck, SprolesS. Smith, Holt, L. Coles, HarrisonFasano, H MillerRavens, PatriotsAkersFirst off, I'm wondering if it's worth picking up free agents like Pierre Thomas, Hank Baskett, Chansi Stuckey, Bryant Johnson, Matt Jones, M. Bush, Fargas, Josh Reed, Garrard, Schaub, K Collins, Kitna, etc. to replace anyone currently on my roster.Second, what would be your preferred starting lineup this week? Thanks
I will assume that there are not limits to how many at each position you have to roster. I would drop the NE Defense, and Hasselbeck this week, and Heath Miller (after this week). I would load up on rb and wr depth. I would roster Pierre Thomas, Michael Bush and Stuckey. You can drop as needed to cover byes. In a 10 team league, there is usually always decent talent on the waiver wire. So, this week:Ben @ QB is easy. Your RBs make it tough because of the injuries. I think I would start Buckhalter since I doubt Westbrook is close to full strength. I might start Mike Bush but that is risky as well. McFadden is 50/50 to play. I would consider Pierre over Mike Bush. After waffling, I think I would go with Pierre at home vs the 49ers. Willis is questionable and splitting time. It is tough choice all the way around. At RB, I would go with the three you have: Holt, Coles, and Smith. Miller has to start at TE, as well as the Balt defense.I totally feel for the injuries your team has suffered. Your top three runners are injured. It will get better. The injuries are one fo the reasons I think the RB/WR depth is a good thing. good luck this week.
So I ended up picking up, of all people, Pierre Thomas at the end of last week, dropping NE's D. To add insult to injury, I ended up losing my game by a mere 5 points, not being helped out by McGahee's or Big Ben's Monday night performances  . I'm now a desperate 1-3, on the outside looking in. I still have big question marks going into week 5 with Westbrook and McGahee still iffy, and FWP out for at least another week. This means I may have to lean on the likes of C-Buck and maybe even Norwood or Sproles.Because of my putrid record, I have the #1 waiver priority this week. I'm obviously dropping Thomas, and I'm thinking I still need another RB. Problem is, who do I pick up, if any? Michael Bush & Fargas are still available, but neither would be a help this week because of their bye. I still like them long-term, though.Warrick Dunn & Derrick Ward are 2 other available agents, plus I guess I could always use Mewelde Moore as a spot starter. Also available are WRs like Lance Moore, Deion Branch, Matt Jones, Hank Baskett, Kevin Curtis, Austin Miles, Breaston, Meachem, Toomer, Randle-El, Camarillo, Josh Reed, Stokely, etc.I'm also wondering who to start this week, particularly at QB between Big Ben and Hasselbeck. Also, I'm wondering if I pick up another QB off the waiver and possibly start over either of those two, like M Schaub, Kitna, Garrard etc.Feels like I need to win this week at all costs, or my season is most likely over. Thanks for any and all help.

I am sorry about Pierre, that stinks. With Holt and Coles on bye, I think you need both a RB and WR. At WR, you should only need help this week. For that reason, I would look at ARE, Breaston, Moore and Toomer. The last three benefit from injuries. At RB, the question is whether or not Norwood or Willis will outscore one of the waiver RBs this week. If the answer is no, then I would not worry about it with Parker due back week 7. Mike Bush would be the one I would pick up. He has looked good. Second choice would be Ward to pair with Jacobs. I would order the waivers like:WR: Breaston and Moore could be huge. Check the Boldin situation. Breaston's upside rests on Boldin missing time. RB: Bush or Ward. Ward offers good insurance for Jacobs.I think you have two easy drops (HMiller and NE Def). If you choose to wait on a RB, I would pick up a QB for this week. I think Hass will be much better next week. Traveling across the country to face a good defense with the WRs just now getting into shape is not a recipe for success. For this reason, I would wait on picking up a RB until next week if you can. I think you need all the starting points possible this week in order to get a win. I would pick up either Kitna or Schaub. Kitna is prob safer. He is prob good for 250 yards, 2 tds, and 3 ints.

all dependent on how the injuries play out:

Kitna

Westbrook if starting (Buck if not), Willis if starting (Norwood if not)

Smith, Marvin, Breaston

Fasano

Balt

Akers

thanks. If McGahee can't go, is Norwood a better option than picking up someone like Melwede Moore for a spot start?

Norwood and mewelde are close.Norwood gets a much better matchup while Pitt has a rough matchup

Hello Jeff,

Jeff,

So I'm 4-0 in a 10 team league that starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR/TE, 2 Flex, K, D. Traditional yahoo scoring.

My team:

Eli/Favre

Portis/MBIII/Forte/Slaton/M Bush/R Torain

Burress/TJ Housh/Calvin Johnson/Cotchery/Engram

Prater

Steelers D

I've targeted a team that is solid with a 2-2 but has a bunch of injuries especially at WR:

His team:

Do you think I shold target Colston or Boldin and what would you offer him?

Jeff,So I'm 4-0 in a 10 team league that starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR/TE, 2 Flex, K, D. Traditional yahoo scoring. My team: Eli/Favre Portis/MBIII/Forte/Slaton/M Bush/R Torain Burress/TJ Housh/Calvin Johnson/Cotchery/Engram Prater Steelers D I've targeted a team that is solid with a 2-2 but has a bunch of injuries especially at WR: His team:Warner/Campbell Gore/Addai/Graham/D Williams Colston/Boldin/Ward/Berrian/Parish/A Gonzalez/Cooley Kaeding Arizona D Do you think I shold target Colston or Boldin and what would you offer him?
I think I would offer Cotchery for Colston. My first inclination was to say Housh for Colston, but that would leave you a WR short of a starting lineup with Plax suspended. I next thought would be to offer Housh for either Boldin or Colston, then drop Mike Bush for a one week wr. The other team needs a win this week.

Heya Jeff,

Pick 2 RB for this week

Lynch vs Ari- He isn't doing very well on the road, and Arizona's run D isn't a very favorable matchup

Johnson vs Chi- Brutal matchup, but he tore it up vs Min

Grant vs Atl- How long do I have to wait for this guy?!

I'm going Holmes, Johnson(Det), and Moore at WR....do you see Walter outperforming any of them??

Bironas or Longwell- I like the tough Ten vs Bal matchup for stalled drives that lead to FGs

Buf or Min at Defense? Buffalo is in right now, just because they have been better than Min all most all year so far.

Thanks!!

I like Buffalo defense and would avoid minny at no. bironas has been solid and would stay with him in a field goal game. I would keep the three wrs. Walter might outscore one of them but no way to know which. They are your three best this week. At RB, the choices are tough. I was a sucker for Grant last week, but I would bench Grant until he does saomething. Anything.

Hi Jeff!

Couple of questions that involve stud players who are somewhat questionable this week. Standard scoring both leagues.

League 1:

Pick 2 WR out of:

Randy Moss (@SF)

Wayne (@HOU)

DeSean Jackson (vs. WAS)

Roddy White (@GB)

Wayne is a must-start, but I don't know if I should keep riding Moss in hopes that he'll break out.

League 2:

Pick 2 RB out of:

Slaton (vs. IND)

Jacbos (vs. SEA)

Graham (@DEN).

I also have Westbrook. Assuming he is a go, who do I replace, or should I even start him?

Also pick 2 WR out of:

A. Johnson (vs. IND)

A. Gonzalez (@HOU)

Driver (vs. ATL)

Is Gonzalez really going to be the #2 WR for Indy, and do you think Johnson breaks out of his funk?

Thanks again!

Good to have good options. I think I would start Jackson this week. White would be my second choice. I would bench Moss until he does something.

League 2:

Pick 2 RB out of:

Slaton (vs. IND)

Jacbos (vs. SEA)

Graham (@DEN).

I also have Westbrook. Assuming he is a go, who do I replace, or should I even start him? Westbrook and Slaton. If Westbrook is restricted, replace him with Jacobs.

Also pick 2 WR out of:

A. Johnson (vs. IND)

A. Gonzalez (@HOU)

Driver (vs. ATL)

Is Gonzalez really going to be the #2 WR for Indy, and do you think Johnson breaks out of his funk? I would start Johnson and Gonzo with Rodgers prob not playing. Hard to trust a rookie qb

Thanks again!

yes, that would be a wise move, imo. I just read where the seahawks hope to have Engram and branch in for half of the plays. Moore should have another solid game. Also, with Fargs' return close, Bush's value is not strong.

Hey Jeff, need some help with WR's this week

12 teams points

1 pt/10 yards receiving

6 pts TD

Even with injuries to Colston, Burleson, and Westbrook I am still in second place. Just trying to keep pace until I get Colston back.

Start 3 WR's:

Fitzgerald for sure

Kevin Walter

Bobby Engram

Steve Breaston

Hixon, Carmarillo, Mason, Steve Smith(NYG), Meachem and Matt Jones are all on the Wire. So what 2 WR's besides Fitz should I go with?

Also at RB, who do you like if I start 2 RB's:

Graham

Chris Johnson

Jonathon Stewart

Westbrook

Thanks

Fitz and Breaston for sure. Breaston should be good with Boldin out. I think i would go with Derrick Mason, even against the Titans. Mason has been the only Raven receiver worth much this season. Walter would be my 4th choice. Give Engram a week to see how he does.

Also at RB, who do you like if I start 2 RB's:

Graham

Chris Johnson

Jonathon Stewart

Westbrook

I would start Chris Johnson every week. And, I would avoid Westbrook. Graham and Stewart each have great matchups. Graham gets Denver while Stewart gets the Chiefs. Stewart has a TD the last few weeks so I would lean that way, but very close. Good luck.

Thanks

A couple WDIS's here, standard non-ppr scoring.

In league 1, I need to pick two of the following guys:

Jennings vs. Atl (could be bad if Rodgers leaves the game early or doesn't play)

Grant vs. Atl

R. Moss @ SF

I could also bench Andre Johnson vs. Indy for one of the the WRs listed above if you think all 3 should go.

In league 2, I need to pick two guys from the following to fill up the RB spots with Sjax on a bye:

Mcgahee vs. Ten

Perry @ Dal

M. Moore @ Jax

Buckhalter vs. Was

Also, I could bench either Bowe or Lance Moore from the flex if you wanted to pick more than 2.

Busy week...just getting around to my weekly starter questions for you Jeff...I apologize!

I could also bench Andre Johnson vs. Indy for one of the the WRs listed above if you think all 3 should go. I would take Jennings every game until we know otherwise. Grant vs Moss is a tough one. I think I would give Moss one more chance. Something does not seem right with Grant. It is a coinflip for me, though with a slight edge to Moss. More of a gut feeling that they will force-feed Moss this week coming off a bye.

In league 2, I need to pick two guys from the following to fill up the RB spots with Sjax on a bye:

Mcgahee vs. Ten

Perry @ Dal

Also, I could bench either Bowe or Lance Moore from the flex if you wanted to pick more than 2. I would definitely keep both WRs at flex. It is tough because we do not know the status of Westbrook. Buckhalter is a great play if Westbrook misses ... but we do not know. I do think I would avoid Willis with the rib injury. I would use Mewelde and either Perry or Buck, depending on Westbrook's health. good luck this week

Delhomme should have a big game against KC.

LJ and Turner have the best matchups and are the safest plays. If you want to bench one, I would sub CJohnson for LJ.

Lance Moore v MIN

E Royal v TB

Hesitantly, I would bench Royal. Moore and the other two have good matchups.

I think this will be a week that NE plays tough on defense, so I would lean toward Warner.

Jeff,

My choices at RB (we start 2) this week are Westbrook, McGahee, Norwood, & C Buck.

What 2 would you choose? For some reason, I'm leaning towards starting the 2 Philly backs, but that may be too risky.

Thanks

Yes, I agree. Take Slaton. If you feel like you need a TE, you can always trade for one. But, good RBs are tough to come by when you can keep them indefinitely.

Would you drop Minnesota's def for the Gaints, Carolina or Jacksonville.
I was looking at the schedule and Minny has some great matchups coming. Their next few games are:DET, @CHI, BYE, HOU, GB, @TB, @JAX, CHI, and @DETMost all of those games are GREAT matchups. Carolina has: TB, NO, AZ, and bye the next four weeksJax has: @DEN, BYE, CLE, @CIN, @DET, TEN, MIN, @HOU, @CHI These get much better after the next two weeks.NYG has: @CLE, SF, @PIT, DAL, @PHI, BAL, @ARZ, and @WASFrom the look of the schedule, I think you are best with the Giants or Vikings for weeks 6 and 7, then Jax starting in week 8. From then on, Minny and Jax have the best schedules.Back to the question, I would keep Minny for the next two weeks, with Jax as second choice.

Do you think any of these rookies will make an impact in the NFL in the next 3-4 years?

Parmele, Jalen FA RB ®

Bennett, Earl CHI WR ®

Simpson, Jerome CIN WR ®

Finley, Jermichael GBP TE ®

I liked three of the four coming out. Parmele prob has the least talent, but could play later this year with an injury to Ricky or Ronnie. I liked Bennett a lot coming out, but he seems to be buried on the depth charts. Simpson is raw and it might be 2009 before he gets a chance. Rucker, too, is raw.The one I expect to make the biggest impact is Simpson, followed by Rucker.

I would sit Addai because Bal has been awesome vs the run. They have dominated the line of scrimmage. I have the three WRs in the same order you have there with Welker and Calvin way ahead of AG. AG benefits when Dallas Clark is out. On the QBs, I would keep Favre since he has had his bye week.

Hey Jeff

Couple of Bye Week questions for the waiver wire....plus I am still trying to deal with my Saints losing another close one after Reggie taking it to the house on almost 3 straight returns.....this one hurt! :(

So....

TEAM 1

DelHomme @ TB

JTO' v PHI

Frerotte v DET is available worth picking up?

I could hang onto both QB's above and grab him.

Eddie Royal hurt his ankle is that bad enough to go grab up Stokely, Brandon Lloyd, Camarillo or sit pat for now with Royal?

DEFENSE--I have Dallas they face the Cards who will put up a lot of points but give up a lot in return.

Should I consider grabbing up the Bears who face Atlanta at home?

I can drop my extra TE for any of the above starting with the QB slot.

What would you do Jeff?

TEAM 2

Drop Chad Johnson @ the Jets for one of the following guys:

Stokely---Hixon---Camarillo---Rashied Davis?

Last question...I have Warner and JTO' would you scoop up Garrard-Schaub-Frerotte- or stay pat with the 2 I already have?

THANKS!
