I picked up Josh Johnson early this week, and I'm stoked about him. In fact, I'm considering starting him over Kyle Orton as my QB2 this week. Am I crazy?

The bye is killing me so these are my only options at flex. I am leaning toward Lynch because a RB is the obvious choice. I see Royal is banged up too. What do you think about it? With Willis, you are playing him purely for the TD chances. I do not those will be high against the Pats. Check the injury status to Mayo and Wilfork. Teams do not run easily against NE with those two in the lineup. If they are out, I would definitely play McGahee. If they are playing, I think I would go with Moreno. Dallas is not a great run defense and Moreno seem to be gaining a larger role in the run game.

You are not crazy. Neither is a great start this week, but both have approximately equal chance of having a good game. The pair of passers faces tough matchups against the NFC East and could struggle, especially if placed into obvious passing situations. I think Johnson will get some rushing yards which will help, but Orton might be the safer play.

Hou is horrible on defense so he is a good one to take the chance on. Next best choice is probably SJax. He seems to get his yards regardless of matchup, just few scoring chances

I cannot imagine benching one of those unless Mason for Grant. Keep an eye on the illness reported to Mason. I think I would start Grant over Mason if anything looks amiss. Also, play Schaub and dont overthink it.

thanks for the kind words. I would definitely make the move to get Brees. He will make up for the RB void. I am not a huge Moreno fan and would prefer the cheaper route with Buckhalter there if not too hurt. I think you should be ok, just with cheap options

Is it too knee-jerk to drop Braylon for Massoquoi in a redraft league (no PPR). Right now my WRs are killing me. They are:

Britt and Massoquoi are on the WW, but I'm kind worried Massoquoi might be a guy who flashes big then disappears (like Bubba Caldwell or Louis Murphy), or that they might be too inconsistent like the other WW options like Mike Wallace, Jacoby, Gage, etc. The rest of my team is good enough to keep me in it most of the time, but with even mediocre WRs I'd be in great shape. The only other option would be to trade, but I'm not really deep enough at RB unless LDT or Leon has a big game or two and allows me to safely move them.

Jeff, I'm about to offer the Brees trade but I have a q: doesn't this leave me still too weak at RB? I need to start two and right now I have:HightowerRiceMcFaddenCoffee(dropped LJ last week actually)That's 1 RB I feel confident starting (Rice), 1 RB I have mixed feelings on (Hightower), McFadden looks like a lost cause and Coffee's time is ending soon. LJ, FJones and Jerome Harrison are probably the only decent RBs on the WW right now (I have low priority).

Drop Holt for Massaquoi. One reason Massaquoi produced is because the Bengals were playing a safety over the top to prevent the long pass to Edwards, then single-covering Massaquoi ... albeit with their best cover corner ... Leon Hall. Anderson's presence does help Massaquoi and I would want both Brown WRs to see how it plays out.

After this trade, you will have a free roster spot. I would target Felix if possible. I like Harrison, but he will be long gone I think. You can start Rice and Hightower in the near term until something pans out. Also, you might see if the Gore owner is interested in Coffee .. enough to sell him and McFadden for a RB you like better.

Jeff, doesn't look like my league likes to trade at all. How bad is a Desean for Lynch deal? That might literally be the only way I get some help. I'd still have Moss/AJ/Colston/SSmith (nyg)/MSW. I would hold DeSean and not do that deal. I know your league does not like to trade but Lynch will likely not be that great of a play over Hightower. Can you trade for Mike Bush or another cheaper back? I know it is tough sitting without much help at RB, but Hightower and Rice are playing well.

I'm going to drop Shaun Hill to pick up Kevin Kolb.

The season is long. I like the move at QB, with Kolb since McNabb's bye has passed. If you dropped Edwards, who would you pick up?

I am having a hard time replacing every body i need to cut one more player to make room for my wr

I would take Anderson vs the beat up Bills secondary. You know he will throw down the field. Are there any decent WRs available on the waiver wire?

I picked up SF D last week to cover a bye week, and they exploded for 39 pts for me! I was planning to drop them now that Phil is back from their bye, but now I wonder. I have also just received a trade offer of Lee Evans for the SF D.

One big fat question!

1. Is the SF D for real and am I crazy for dropping them or for trading them?

Passing TDs = 4 pts, all others 6 pts. 1 pt for 10 yards rushing and receiving.

SF is really only a great option when playing the Rams. I would move them and start Philly every week. I really do not believe in Evans, either, but you can always use him to get a better WR .. as in Evans/Edwards for Driver/Ward type of deal. Need some solid production from WR2

You have some great RBs. At RB, I like SJax, Slaton, and Coffee (Harrison would be 4th ... and close). At WR, I think I would go with Crayton (assuming Roy Williams misses time like they are expecting). He and Burleson are close for me.
