First time posting in the wanabee thread, so if I screw up let me know. Anyway I play in a 8 team, Keeper league, we keep 4. We start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 flex (rb,wr,te), 1K, 1DEF

Scoring is :

Passing:

2 extra points when total Passing Completions is greater than or equal to 25

1 point for every 20 Passing Yards (0.05 per)

1 extra point when total Passing Yards is greater than or equal to 300

2 points for every 2 Pt Conversion Passing

4 points for every Passing TD

4 extra points for every Passing TD of 80 or more yards

2 extra points for every Passing TD between 40 and 79 yards (inclusive)

-2 points for every Interception

Rushing:

2 extra points when total Rushing Attempts is greater than or equal to 30

1 point for every 10 Rushing Yards (0.1 per)

I am happy everywhere but RB (wish I had a true RB #1, though I am hoping out of the group one will emerge). I was also hoping to get a TE in the V. Davis, J. Finley, J. Witten range (not that there is anything wrong with Gonzalez, but 8 team leagues are STACKED). My question is would you look to upgrade at RB #1, TE or even DEF? Here are a few of the teams in my league for comparison and possible trade partners:

Hey, welcome to the thread. Feel free to post any question. With only a few defenses rostered, I would not worry about the position. If nothing else, you should be able to play matchups if not happy with SF. Much will change on the defenses between now and August. Think about last year and NO. No one had them higher than midpack. I also would be fine with Gonzo/Miller at TE. You should be fine. As far as RB1, Wells could emerge, but if you are still worried, you might see if Pierre and Bradshaw could get you DeAngelo, Shonn Greene, etc. Your Rbs should not be any worse than some of the teams below so I would not feel pressured to make a move. It is best to take your time and make a strong move. You are very strong at QB/WR.

Standard PPR Dynasty league with 20 man rosters

I've been offered the 1.04 rookie pick for Shonn Green. In addition to Greene my other current RBs are: Ray Rice, Pierre Thomas, Michael Bush, Justin Forsett, and Chester Taylor. THe 1.04 is likely good for either Best or Spiller.

What do you think? Part of me wants to do it because either of those rookies are better PPR backs than Greene. Greene has the opportunity now though and My team is good enough to win the title this year.

Benn is clearly the top guy, imo. After him, it gets muddy. I think Dwyer, Sanders, Clausen, and Gerhart are prob next. Not a lafell/gilyard/dwilliams fan. I like Hernandez, but TEs are not worth the RB/WR.

I would keep Greene. You know his talent (from the playoff run) and his situation. Getting the leftover RB at 1.04 is not worth it, imo

Mendnhall (8th rd): Now here's something to think about, getting great value for an eith rd pick, but now injuries to his offensive line has me thinking.

Ray Rice -> easy and obvious answer. I know the other two look attractive, but keep the stud over the potential studs. There is not THAT much difference between the 4th and 8th rounders compared to talent/situation. Keep Rice.

I think Addai, Benson, Fitz, MSW are obvious choices. I also think I would keep either Jacobs or Holmes over Favre. Both have negatives, but Jacobs and Holmes will be better longterm and you can draft a QB easier than a RB/WR of their caliber.

I have been offered Lesean McCoy straight up for Moreno. With MJD and Gore as my starters, this trade is about who would have the best long term value. I liked Moreno's skill set above McCoy, but Denver's situation seems iffy. Would you do this trade?

Also, since I also have Donald Brown and two 1st rd rook picks next year, I have been toying with the idea of trading Moreno for Addai and 1st rd 2012. I reason that I would have a solid rb3 whoever totes the rock for Indy this year, and if Addai leaves I am protected with Brown and the multiple 1st rds in the next couple years.

Your thoughts on the above are most appreciated.

I know I might be alone on the thought, but I was not impressed with Moreno last year. He was outplayed by Buckhalter in every game I watched. I do not know what to think about McCoy as of yet. I like the idea of getting Addai/1st for Moreno. But, this is likely Addai's last year in Indy. He will not have a problem finding a job.

I think VJax plays at least half of the season. If you like Colston more than VJax, it is a good move.

to be honest, I think that is a horrible offer for you. If giving Brown, I would want Wallace .. and maybe ask for Jennings, too ...even if you have to give up Burleson to even up the deal. Selling Brown now means likely selling too low

I would sit tight and see how training camps sort out. Only move I would consider is seeing how cheaply you can acquire Edelman. He is great welker insurance with everyone expecting WW back week one. Also, with everyone down on vjax, you might what he would cost. But overall, colston and WW are a great pair for wr1/2.

Continued from above.I offered Culter, Turner, MSW, Winslow, & 8.07 for Brees, F. Jones, B. Marshall, J. Witten & 6.08 and he countered with Brees, Henne, F. Jones, Breaston, B. Marshall, J. Witten, SD & 4.08 for Culter, Ryan, Turner, A. Gonzalez, MSW, Z. Miller, Phil & 6.07. We have not turned in our keepers yet so this is where the other players are coming from but do not really understand what he is trying to do with this trade since he will not be able to keep all of these players. Looking over the other rosters no one needs a QB so don't think he will have much luck trading Ryan or Culter if I make this deal. So what do you think of the about trade I would end up having to cut Henne, Breaston & SD.

That is crazy. I think I would need Moreno in order to give up Turner. I know Turner is coming off the high ankle sprain from last year, but he is a top 6 or 7 pick in non-ppr leagues this year. His offer above, not including the picks, is not really any better than the one before after you drop the players

That is way too rich. You are not gaining that much at RB in a non-ppr league. I would pass unless you got something substantial in return

Jeff - Drew 1st pick in 12 team PPR redraft. Was offered trade with owner who has 5th pick. Swap everything, except 5th and 9th picks. That means I drop from1st to 5th, but get to draft 4 places earlier in the 5th and 9th rounds, ie 5.01 vs 5.05, and 9.01 vs 9.05.

I like the first 5 RBs, ending with gore...so is this reasonable to be able to pick a bit earlier in the 2nd, or should there be more incentive to give up the first pick, and then three of the top 25 players?

And in your opionion, am I being an idiot for potentially trading away CJ (1st pick) for Gore (5th pick)?

Start 1QB (4 pt TDs, .05 per passing yard), 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, and 1 RB/WR/TE flex.

Drew #1, drafted CJ. Expect a total of 11 RBs, 10 WRs, 2QBs to be selected before I pick again.

Playing with DD, it likes drafting RB11 (Thomas) and RB12 (Wells) at the turn (RB15 Turner was drafted earlier, so the RB numbers look a little strange). Available WRs may be WR11 (Colston), 12 (Smith-Car), 13 (Ward), and 14 (Smith-NYG), with QB3 (Manning) and 4 (Romo) still there.

1. Since this is PPR, is it suicide to not get one or two WRs at the turn? It "seems" like I should grab a WR with one of those picks.

2. In PPR, is a great QB like Manning or Romo gold, or are the third tier guys like Rivers, Cutler, Kolb, and Eli acceptable just like in non-PPR? The PPR ADP in FBG shows Brady, Schaub, and Rivers at 40, 46, and 47, so all will likely be gone by the time it gets back to me.

My experience with PPR is that elite RB/QB dominate. Then, there is little difference between RB6-15 and WR3-10 ... and the WR pool is much deeper than at RB. But, dont let this force you into RB2 at the 2/3 turn if there is not a player you like. For me, at QB, I either want a top 4 (Rodger, Brees, Manning, or Romo) or I will wait for the Favre/Cutler group and skip the middle. So, I would consider one of these four at the turn. As to WR vs RB at the 2/3 turn, I would try to make sure to take a safe option. RBs like Pierre Thomas (never getting more than 150 carries/season) is not one of them. But, I do consider Wells/Charles as decent gambles due to upside. I would start eyeing the RB/WR you want at 4/5. This will be an important turn for you as these are starters.

I'm about to trade Peterson in a 1 player keeper league (no PPR and QB's get 6 pts per TD). I have to trade him or lose him. I also have the 2nd pick in the draft. The next best player on my roster is either Mendenhall or Schuab. I expect the other 11 teams to keep S.Jackson, Brady, Brees, Calvin Johnson, MJD, DeAngelo Williams, Ray Rice, Micheal Turner or Rodgers (both on same team), Romo, Dre Johnson and Chris Johnson. Which should I continue to pursue:

- Straight up trade for MJD.

- Straight up trade for Ray Rice.

- Straight up trade for either Turner or Rodgers (since QB's get 6 pts per TD)

- Trade to the Calvin Johnson owner, who has the 3rd pick in the draft. I can trade him my 2nd rounder and AP for his 1st rounder. This would leave me with Mendenhall as my keeper, and the 2nd and 3rd picks on the first round, but no 2nd rounder.
