wannabee Strategy Thread (4 Viewers)

Looking for some trade advice. Thanks for your help in advance.

In a 14 Team non ppr QB flex league. My roster is as follows:

Starters:

QB1 Matt Ryan

RB1 L. McCoy

RB2 J. Bell

WR1 V. Jackson

WR2 M. Colston

WR3 M. Austin

TE1 J. Thomas

FLEX RGIII

K M. Bryant

DEF Jets

Bench:

QB M. Glennon

WR M. Brown

TE J. Finley

RB B. Brown

RB W. McGahee

RB F. Jackson

RB A. Bradshaw

Was just offered Roddy White for Fred Jackson and Ahmad Bradshaw. Do I accept or is it too much to give up at RB for the risky WR upgrade?

Also note that P. Harvin, A. Brown, and S. Vereen are all available on the waiver wire. Curious to know if one of them would be a good pickup for my team if I went forward with this trade.

Hi Jeff, I'm completely underwhelmed with Chris Johnson. Would you sit him against the Jets for Tavon Austin or Bernard Pierce (how much rice plays who knows?) trouble is Austin plays tonight.

Jeff - quick start/sit for tonight.

I have Cook and Thomas at TE.

I have the option of playing both, or rolling with a 3WR, who is Shorts at the moment.

Do you like Thomas over Cook at TE, and if so, would you start Shorts over Cook in the WR/TE flex?

Standard scoring except PPR after 5 receptions.

I am in a standard PPR league. Someone has dropped WR Malcolm Floyd (SD) as he has been hurt. Would you pick him up and if so who would you drop from my bench Reuben Randall (NYG) or Nate Washington (Ten)?

I'm leaning Gio, but if Bush is healthy, is he the better overall play? It looks like he's going to play.

Also, if you had to grab a desparation WR (AJohnson hurt), do you like Holmes or Rice?

No problem. I suspect at least one RB injury this week so I might wait if I could hold the 1 waiver spot

If willing to risk it, Flynn has a chance to put up decent numbers. If wanting a solid choice, go with Tannehill. Vegas thinks this will be a high scoring game

I like Ellington and think he is talented, but would not drop a good player for him in a redraft league

love him in dynasty/keeper but think AZ will not run enough PLUS give Mendenhall enough carries to make Ellington frustrating

I would go with Reggie every week he is playing

I like Homes, S Hill, and if desperate look at Terrance Williams DAL if Austin is out

If RRice is out, I'm guessing I have to somehow get Pierce into the lineup. Do you agree, and who would you sit to make room for him?

Hi Jeff i need some help with my main Money Keeper

16 Teams, non PPR, starting 1QB/1RB/1WR/1TE/2FLEX + IDPs. Players have both contract years (from 1 to 3) and a contract.

My roster is:

Brady, Tom NEP QB 5.50 1 Fitzpatrick, Ryan TEN QB 0.50 1 Forte, Matt CHI RB 1.00 3 Jackson, Steven ATL RB (O) 22.50 3 Mathews, Ryan SDC RB 18.00 3 McCoy, LeSean PHI RB 13.00 1 Miller, Lamar MIA RB 4.00 3 Harvin, Percy SEA WR (O) 9.00 2 Johnson, Stevie BUF WR (P) 2.50 1 Shorts, Cecil JAC WR 0.50 2 Thompkins, Kenbrell NEP WR 0.50 3 Graham, Jimmy NOS TE 0.50 1 Gronkowski, Rob NEP TE (O) 8.50 2 and i have a very good IDP core.

I can trade Mathews + a Low Rookie Second Draft Pick and get Ridley (16x3) or trade Mathews and get Decker (2,5x2) plus a Low Rookie Second Draft Pick.

Looking at my Roster, WRs is def a weakness, but in this league RBs have the most value and since i'm losing McCoy at the end of the season a core of Forte/Ridley/Miller seems pretty solid.

I know that Decker would be a starter in my lineup wich is Brady/Forte/McCoy/Stevie J/Gronk/Graham, but i don't think that the difference between Stevie J and him is so big.

What would you do?

I would not drop any of those WRs. If wanting to drop a defense, dump the Bengals and pick up Mike Williams

Lacy is back. Blount should excel in the games NE is playing with the lead in the 2nd half. He gets most of his carries in the 2nd. Other than Woodhead, I do not love any of the choices

So would you take Blount .... Drop hunter or Bess. Or save my waiver pick for now. Helu another possibility.

Nevermind on this for now....I'm going to hold that high pick another week. Our waivers processed over night

What are you thoughts.

Marshall,Amendola, S. Smith,S. Moss,Tate,Sanu

Davis,Fleener

Love to have Sproles, but .......that weakens me at wr pretty bad doesn't it. If no do you see a counter offer here?

Hey Jeff - couple of start/sit questions in a 10 team, standard scoring league except .5 ppr

(1) With RG3 out, need a bye week replacement at QB. Leaning Hoyer, but have Pryor, Dalton, Cutler, and Bradford available on WW.

(2) Desean or Nicks at WR2. Leaning Desean because of NY defense, but he's been brutal of late. Nicks hasn't been much better. Expect a bounce back from both. Also have Wallace as an option.

(3) Stick with Texans D on the road, or opt for a WW D of Indy, NOLA, or Browns.

Hi Jeff,

1 point per reception - Dynasty League

I have Rob Gronkowski on my team but he of course isn't back yet and have been filling in with scrubs of the waiver wire with if I'm lucky get me 3 or 4 points from the position.

The Gonzalez Owner is looking to trade him away since he has Cameron and J. Thomas at the position. He is just looking for a WR.

My team is currently 3-1 and having Gonzalez until Gronk comes back would be extremely helpful and even when Gronk comes back I can have the option of starting both Gonzalez and Gronkowksi at the same time, one of them at a flex spot.

I was thinking of offering Sidney Rice for him. I'm kind of leary of trading a young WR in Rice who is only 27 and I'm thinking he will probably be done in Seattle after this year and possibly go to a team where he can get more targets next year. Would it be worth trading a young WR in Rice for a 1 year rental stud in Gonzalez (assuming Gonzalez retires at the end of the year). Unless you think the backups I have will get me by until Gronkowski comes back.

Other then Gronkwoski I have:

Scott Chandler TE BUF

Brandon Pettigrew TE DET

Fred Davis TE WAS

Stream both K and DST

I'm wondering if I should trade Woodhead or keep him as a weekly FLEX. I like my receivers, but would love one more stud. Should I package Thompkins with either Floyd or Austin and try to move up? Who would a realistic target be?

I'm currently 2-2

1) In a deep non ppr 16 teamer I need 2 wr and a flex from Tavon Austin vs JAC, Michael Floyd vs CAR, Keenan Allen @ OAK, Ted Ginn @ ARI, Zac Stacy vs JAC, and Jonathan Franklin v DET

2) In a non ppr league I have Gronk and Amendola so obviously if they play they go in. The problem is if they do play I have some decisions to make

If Gronk plays who of Bilal Powell @ ATL or Lamar Miller vs BAL should be my RB2?
