wannabee Strategy Thread (4 Viewers)

Hi Jeff,

My roster and scoring system are in my sig. Need to decide between K Allen, C Shorts, and Michael Floyd for my WR3 and then for RB2 it's between Le'Veon Bell and Shane Vereen. Who would you start? Thanks!

If desperate, I would roll with all of the Packers and hope for a monster game. If not Bell, Tolzien, and Jones would be my choices

I don't want a good team to get them eventually.

D scoring... start with 20, once shutout is lost it's 10, once a team rushes for 100 yards it drops to 5, once a team passes for 150 it drops to 0.. we get 1 per sack, 1 per INT and 1 pt per 15 INT/FR return yards. 6tds etc

I would roll with the Seattle defense with the assumption is that Tate will outscore the defense you pick up off waivers. I am not a huge Tate fan and would drop him but you do not have any options at RB

I would watch the practice/injury reports on moore. he has a bum shoulder. This is why Moore had a poor game last week. If out, they I would dump Hillman for a WR since I see Wright and Allen as future top 20 wrs. What WRs are available on the waiver wire? What are implications of promoting one of WRs?

Vereen for sure. The WRs come down to Floyd vs Shorts. I try not to chase points, but would go with Floyd after the big game last week

Thanks for the reply.

We can stash up to 7 players for 2 years on our Practice Squad and they are protected automatically. We have a lot of keepers but if I promote KWright, I then cannot protect one of my bench guys. Lots of longshots as you can see in signature.

Our waiver wire is bad for WR, especially at this point. Also, we only have 2 periods of waivers, Wednesday and Thursday and Trade deadline has passed.

Ted Ginn, Nate Washington, Leonard Hankerson, Jarius Wright, Dexter McCluster, Jermaine Kearse.

So, Would I be better dropping GJennings or RHillman? Any hope for a RHillman breakout this year or next year?

If I needed a win, I would promote Wright. Of the two Hillman is the one I would drop.

Hunter - reece - starks - helu - brandon jacobs - mcgahee - tolbert - bilal - cunningham. Not sure what to do here.

bell for sure and ogbonnaya (if available) over miller.

 
Here we go week 12...PPR already played 3 Thursday night and my Brees/Graham and my Saints DEF hot me over 110 pts!!!

This is what I have left to decide

WRs (3)

Welker @ NE

Nelson v MIN

Randle v DAL

Dobson v DEN

RBs (2)

Forte @ STL

Lacy v MIN

Stacy v CHI

A Morris v SF

S Vereen v DEN

FLEX ( RB or WR )

Due to 3 of my top WRs on bye this week leaning towards a RB to take the FLEX spot......

Thinking Stacy over Morris because of match ups.....or go with Morris bc of his usual high # of touches....then there is Vereen in a busy backfield but could be big in PPR.......THOUGHTS????

Hi Jeff, still alive and one game out of playoffs!

Here are my quandaries this week:

QB: Foles, McKown or Alex smith

WR: pick one please, James jones, Jarret Boykin, Garson or Tavon Austin

I could also play one of the above WRs in place of Bell or Ball as they are really in my flex.

Foles for sure, Ball for sure (if Moreno out). I think I would go with Garcon. Both GB WRs should have decent games vs Detroit. Hard to pick right one. Comes down to Jones (I picked) vs Garcon. I think Wash rebounds after bad showing MON night.

1) Do I grit it out with Tannehill for the next few weeks until rodgers comes back, or do I grab Foles and roll with him instead?

2) Need to start any 4 of these (and I've been getting it wrong every week)...no ppr

I did not start JORDY NELSON....still to scared without Rodgers

So, I need another FLEX option other than Jordy Nelson

FLEX --- WR / RB / TE

Looks like its between HARVIN, STACY, VEREEN or CAMERON

HARVIN - Yet to prove himself

J CAMERON - Yet to return to his old reliable self

VEREEN - Big PPR player, can he score, is the backfield too full?

STACY - If cleared to go is he the best option since he faces SF on their turf?

I am also worried about the Panthers v TB.....The Bucs have been tough----You don't trust the Saints yet?

Also, I know that RIVERS took off and earned twice the total points that BREES did but with 2 of the key secondary players on suspension you don't give BREES the edge?

The Cincy DEF is no easy task I know GENO is gone but they are still solid......

Just curious about how you arrived with your picks......THANKS AGAIN!!!!

And a TE: Fleener or Cameron.

BIG WEEK STARTING PLAYOFFS AND I KNOW IT'S EARLY FOR WEEK 14, BUT CAN YOU LOOK AT MY SIG AND TELL ME WHAT CHANGES YOU MIGHT MAKE:

Haush or Akers......Im thinking Detroit and Philly kicking extra points, and Seattle more likely to bog down at 49ers/
