I would keep Addai and swap Moss for Stallworth (or Muhammed) if you can. I think Chicago will run more and throw less when the weather gets colder. I think your team is very strong. Are you doing well? I ask because I am trying to gauge the 1st rounder. If you think you will be a top 3 or 4 team, I would do that deal. You have very good WRs and I think Plax is overvalued as it is. I think Caddy is, too, but this is a great price on Plax. I might, just because I would want to try, counter by asking for a 2nd rounder back in the deal since "caddy has that rumored bad back thing going on" .... even though I think Caddy is a good dynasty RB. I see him in the Willis tier.I have been offered Caddy for Plax and my 1st round pick 2007...Thoughts

Between Muhammad, Ward and Walker, who do you like in a redraft league? Does Moss prospects become less this year because of the news?I would keep Addai and swap Moss for Stallworth (or Muhammed) if you can. I would hang onto LJ. He has a couple more soft games. I would give it a couple more before trading him for less than full value. As more and more RBs go down, LJ has more value. Basically, he and LT are the only "sure things" there are in the fantasy world. Rudi and SJax are close behind. But, look at all of the ones that have faded away, been hurt, or underperformed. There are many in these categories and the number will continue to rise. So, I would hold on for now and tell everyone that you want full value to trade LJ.And, I would avoid Jamal and wait before I traded for KJ. I would let him perform for a few weeks before trading for him. Look at Gore. Took off and now disappointed for two straight weeks.Good luck.WB, need some help w/ a keeper league trade. I currently have LJ and am more than discouraged watching him struggle this year. We keep a 2006 rookie going into next year and I have set my sightson landing one of the 3 following '06 rookies: Maroney,Addai or Norwood. The Maroney owner also has KJones and I have offered LJ and Lendale for Maroney and Kjones. Scoring for the league:8 pts per rushing/receiving td1 pt per 10 yds rushing/receiving yardsStarting lineup consists of: 2QB/3RB/3WR/TE/K/DEFCurrent rostereyton/Vick/SA/LJ/Jamal/Turner/MBIII/Dillon/LendaleHolt/Muhammad/Glenn/ReggieWill/Kennison/EricJJamal has been a total slug and I'm currently trying to unload him for anything.I have received an offer from the Addai owner,Edge and Addai for LJ and Lendale. That offer I have no interest in but I was just wondering,is it too soon to jump the LJ ship?I have watched all of the Pats games and Maroney looks like the goods. My current record is 3-1 and I guess I dont want to fix what's not really broke.Thoughts? Thanks in advance....
I would prefer KJ, even though I am not a huge fan of either. I think KJ has more value than Julius at this time, and Julius will continue to have a hard time finding the end zone.I've been offered Kevin Jones straight up for Julius Jones in 14 team Dynasty. Scoring is TD heavy and I already own KJ's handcuff Brian Calhoun. Don't know if JJ's value will ever be this high...should I pull the trigger?
What does the rest of your team look like? Also, is the league redraft or dynasty?i have a tough offer that is hard to refuse but do not want to give up on leinart. here is the offer, C Benson and A Bryant for M Leinart and R Brown. This helps me at reciever and i know Benson is to good to be sitting on the bench, but Leinart is going to be the man. Dazed and confused![]()
Was offered the following:I get: Steven Jackson, Bulger and he suggested ColstonI give: Gore/Fitz or CJ/McNairHe also has Djax, Bernard Berrian, Derrick Mason at WR and KJones, D. Rhodes, and Bush at RB.My other QB is Favre, who I picked up before week 4 and he laid an egg. He'll pick it up, but I'd start Bulger more often. My lineup before:QB: McNairRB: LT, Gore (T. Jones/Maroney/Turner in reserve)WR: CJ, Fitz, Driver (Bryant in reserve)TE: WittenAfter:QB: BulgerRB: LT, Sjax WR: CJ (or Fitz), Driver, Bryant (reserves: Colston)TE: WittenIs giving Gore/Fitz/McNair too much to get Sjax/Bulger/Djax(or Colston)?no way would i give all of that for bledsoe, colston, and watson. I think you are giving up the higher value than getting if you trade for SJax and Bulger. It should be difficult for the other guy to turn that down.I do think that most still hold Gore high after the first two games, so you might keep that in mind.Wannabee....I ended up not doing anything before week 4 and I now need Favre and Driver to help overcome a 16 pt deficit on MNF...my opponent has McNabb. I'm not optimistic.Regarding the trade ideas I asked about last week (above)....Thoughts on this....I give: Gore/Fitzgerald/McNair/Jason Witten/DeangeloI get: Sjax/Bulger or Bledsoe/Colston/Ben WatsonMy thoughts: I'd love SJax. Fitzgerald has been so-so and his QB situation isn't improving. Witten has disappointed. Gore is good, but fumble/injury prone. It's a wholesale change, and he might not bite off on losing Sjax and may ask for Gore and CJ, or ask for me to give Gore/Thomas Jones/Fitzgerald.Thoughts?I see Bush and Gore as pretty equal in redrafts. And, losing Matt Jones would not hurt you. But, I think I would rather have Favre than Bulger. In addition, I see Favre and Bledsoe as pretty even. I guess I am disappointed by the Ram offense so far. I think SJax probably has the biggest improvement in the offense. The timing is off and the offense looks out of sync. If you are still worried, I might try:McNair/Gore for Bledsoe/Bush or even throw in Jones. He should not play a ton with your WRs. If you are good with Favre, I think you might be able to make a run at SJax depending on the other owner. He has a ton of Rams and might be too big of homer to trade SJax. I might see if the other guy would take: Gore/TJones/MJones for SJax. But, I have been optimistic of Favre and continue to be. The guy is going to have a great year.Wannabee...let me get your thoughts on this potential deal.....I give Gore, McNair, Matt JonesI get Bulger, Reggie BushGore's possibly going to lose goalline carries. Bush will score...you'd think.I think Bulger will be an upgrade over McNair and will start more often than not. I could sit tight and just offer Jones/McNair for Bulger and keep Gore, but I have concern about his short yardage situation. I'm 2-1 right now. Strong so far, except for mediocre QB play. I just picked up Favre, or I'd be 3-0 if I had him last week.My team:QB: Favre, McNairRB: LT, Gore, Maroney, T. Jones, M. I will start with the WRs because I think they are the easiest. I would start all but Walker. Wayne, Glenn, and Edwards have great matchups. On the RBs, the one I rule out first is Bush. I see TB, coming off bye, as focused. I think Gore is a definite start. I think the decision is between Addai and Brown. I think you can make a case for either guy. I would probably go with Brown since it is a PPR league. If not, I would have chosen Addai. On QBs, I would choose either Grossman or Brunell. I think I would go with Grossman, if the weather is decent. I read where it might not be. If that is the case, go with Brunell.Good luck.Wannabee..I am back for more of your wisdomI was able to get Javon Walker on the WW! answers in Blueseveral tricky WDIS questions.
1. Bledsoe vs Eagles or Frye vs Panthers
this is a 16 team dynasty - I am in a desperate need of a win - I am 1-3 bottom of my division. 1 pt per 40 yds passing and -2 for interceptions.
Frye has been the hot QB - more QB's than Bledsoe but the Eagles are banged up in the secondary. But with the importance of that game and Bledsoe's history of not playing as well at Philly rather than home makes me think I should go with Frye.
I think Frye because I see Philly trying to play a low scoring game with not many WRs, and possibly nicked up Westbrook.
2.Have to start 3 WR - (same league - 1 ppr, 1 pt per 20yds receiving, td's 6) I am definatly starting Roy Williams but for my number 2 and 3 receivers I can chose from Michael Clayton (may take off with Gradowski in there) Amani Toomer - good matchup but with Plax back in the lineup - less targets, Reggie Brown - hurt but should play but will he lose looks to Haskett and LJ and Greg Lewis otherwise I have Battle, McCariens and Crayton (not even on my radar for this week)
Toomer and Brown as long as Brown is healthy. I do not think Stallworth is playing and Brown should get most of the looks if playing.
3. Different league - Zealot non PPR 1 pt per 10 yds rushing/receiving - start 2 RB/3WR 1 flex RB or WR
RB's Dillon, Droughns (hurt - with a tough matchup) Chester Taylor - WR's Plax, G Jennings, D Stallworth, E Wilford, T Taylor. I am looking at starting Dillon and Taylor and the above WR's but with Stallworth questionable? Maybe I should look to start Droughns instead?
Dillon and Chester; Stallworth is doubtful. I would look Plax and Jennings for sure. But, Droughns is questionable at this point. I might take a chance on Taylor playing a soft Detroit secondary that gave up 3 pass TDs last week.
4. Dynasty start 2 RB, 3 WR - Portis and McGahee or Portis and Bush? biggest question - WR's bad lot
D Carter, A Chatman, L coles, P Crayton, V Jackson, B Marshall N Washington. PPR league 1 pt per 10 yds. Currently lookking at starting Coles (hope he plays) V jackson and N Washington. Would you consider Carter with Steve Smith in the lineup?
Portis and Bush with the PPR. I think Willis will struggle. I think there will be bad weather for the Bill/Bear game which will not help any. Cales is easy. I think you have to go with VJax, even with the tough matchup. And Washington could score. Tough week at WRs for you. Sorry.

I think that is a great deal for you. I like Jacobs and he has looked great this year. Being a Tiki owner, helps make this deal more lucrative for you because of Tiki's age. Here's the deal: I trade the Houston running game (Dayne-1yr contract, Gado-2 yr contract, Lundy-5 year contract) for Brandon Jacobs(30/09).The contracts are essentially a wash. As a Tiki owner, Jacobs is extremely appealing given that I will probably attempt to retain Tiki next season and at this point Jacobs does look like the future of the NYG running game. On the other hand...I am guaranteed a starter going forward (this season anyway) with the HOU running game. And I think he'll throw in Brandon Jones to secure the deal. Do I pull the trigger? This is the 4th year of a 14 team Dynasty/Salary cap/IDP league. The cap is 700 points and I've listed the contract values and contract expirations next to the players. My roster and contracts (term/length):QB: Carson Palmer (22/08), Damon Huard(13/06), Dan Orlovsky(9/10)RB: Tiki Barber(97/06), Julius Jones(34/08), Reggie Bush(41/10) Maurice Drew(22/10), Samkon Gado(9/09), Brian Calhoun(20/10), Jerome Harrison(9/10), Derrick Blaylock(20/07), Wali Lundy(6/10), Ron Dayne(9/06)WR: Chad Johnson(60/06), Andre Johnson(60/08), Roy Williams(22/08), Darell Jackson (30/7) Samie Parker(9/09), TE: Antonio Gates(26/08), Ben Troupe(13/08), Tony Scheffler(10/10), K: Adam Vinatieri(10/07), Robbie Gould (12/09)DL- John Abraham(9/07), Robert Mathis(9/08), LB- Donnie Edwards(31/06), Keith Bulluck(9/07), Ernie Sims (9/10), Brian Simmons (9/06)DB- Gibril Wilson(8/08), Michael Lewis(18/10), Nick Collins (9/10), Mike Brown(9/07), Terrence McGee(9/08)TIA Wannabe
I like you getting Dunn, even though he has yet to get a TD. He gets good yards. I think it will work out for you but you probably gave more value than you got. Also, much will depend on the WR you pick up with the roster spot vacancy. But, I think you got the best player in the deal which is the goal. How did I do in this trade?I got Warrick DunnI gave Greg Jennings & Jamal Lewis
That is a close one. I would love to get Maroney, but you are not guaranteed very many touches. And there is nothing assured, ever, with kj. At least Parker will get 25 touches a game. Anf Green will get his touches ... and you have Morency. It is a risk. But, I would probably hold pat or offer Green for Maroney and see what happens.hey wannabee, thanks for previous help. new trade question. I have willie parker and a. green with m.barber, norwood and morency for backups. should I trade green and fwp for maroney and k.jones.this is a 12 team redraft league. the other team is not in my division and has s.alexander and t.jones also
It is a tall order. The other owner has a strong team. I think I would definitely start SMoss in an attempt to "double up" the TDs with Brunell like last week. I would start TO at the other WR spot only because I think TO will want to make a statement. I think you have to start your players with the highest upside. On this note, I would start NO defense against TB. TB offense has been anemic, even with Simms ... much less the rook. The RB2 and Kicker are pretty much settled. Only have TE. This is a tough one. I looked it up, and ironically Miami and Wash have the same fantasy points scored against. That does not help any. I think I would take a chance and go with Watson. I also think, maybe too hopeful, that Wash will tighten down on defense after getting lit up last week. I also see Tiki emerging this game with less emphasis on Eli. Good luck.a Hey, wannabee, would love it if you could help me with my Week 5 lineup! Thank you!!!!![]()
Please put in your link so I can answer your question!!
I'm kinda screwed this week. 1 point per 25 yards passing, 1 per 10 rush/rec, 6 points all TD's. start 1/2/2/1/1/1 . Defensive scoring pretty basic 1 per sack, 2 per INT or Fumble rec and 10 for TD's. Plus whoever's defense gives up the fewest yards gets a 3 point bonus.
Opponents lineup:
Eli
Tiki
LT2
Colston
Terry Glenn
Marcedes Lewis (over Chris Cooley )
Ravens D
Elam
Me:
Brunell
Deuce McCallister
Mike Bell (or maybe Ryan Moats if Westy sits)
WR: start 2 - T.O., Santana Moss, Antonio Bryant, or Toomer
TE: Shockey or Ben Watson
Defense/ST's: Philly D vs. Dallas or New Orleans D vs. Tampa (with Rook Gradowski starting first game)
Gramatica (assuming Vinatieri sits) or Scobee (Jax) otherwise
Tall order huh? I'm assuming he might be sitiing Cooley for Marcedes Lewis because a Cooley TD is also a Brunell TD but what the hell do I know? I'm thinking I'm probably going to lose this game which is why I'm bouncing some strategy questions off yall.
Our match is inter-wrapped because we have a lot riding on Washington/NYG and Dallas vs. Philly.
Would it be best to start Shockey AND Toomer and attempt to neutralize Eli's points and hope the Giants run game is shut down? If they score TD's their points nullify but I come out ahead as I get 1 per 10 and he gets 1 per 25.
If I started Toomer, who Eli has a good rapport with now, I'd sit T.O. He has Glenn, I have T.O. Ideally if I go with T.O. I'm gambling he gets the stats and not Glenn. Of course, T.O. is IN Philly and who knows what will happen!?
As far as Defense, New Orleans is predicted to give up about a hundred yards less than which might help me in going head to head for the 3 point yards bonus aginst the BALT D facing Denver. Risky propsition there though. Or, the Philly D is predicted to score 0.2 TD's against NO's 0.0 which would put me in the running for a 10 point TD bonus. Long shot but hey. Amzingly, the Philly Defense who's now missing Kearse is predicted for more sacks, INt's, and FR over a Saints D which has been very good going against a super struggling Tampa O/Team which has Gradowski, rookie, making his first NFL start. But that's what the numbers say.
However, the football guy rankings say straight up my best starters this week are: Brunell, Deuce, Mike Bell, Santana, T.O., Shockey, Eagles, and Gramatica.
I'm probably outhinking this and should just go with by best ranked lineup, ( I could even go real far and bench shockey to stay away from contributing to Eli's production and go with Watson) but feeling I might just lose this game I'm looking for another way I could attack it too.
TELL ME WHAT YOU GUYS WOULD DO. LEAVE ME A LINK TO ANSWER YOURS!
]sorry I was not around to get to this post this morning. With Joey Harrington starting today, who should I start at QB2, Harrington or Gradkowski, and why? Thanks!
I think I would look at trading moss and Lewis for a better rb and lesser wr. In a start 2 QB league, I would not trade a QB. I would like tot hink you could trade Lewis/Moss for Parker and a wr3 startable wr. This is the only move I think you could do that would give you the best chance.Hey WB- question for you...first, my team-Start 2QB/2rb/3WR1pt/10yds rushing recieving, 6 pts TD1pt/25yds passing, 4 pts TDQB- Hasselbeck, A Smith, RoethRB- LT, J Lewis, A Green, DillonWR- harrison, Berrian, r moss, williamson, branch, CotcheryIm doing alright (2-3, but LT's bye was an auto-loss) and Im looking to upgrade my RB situation. What do you think of packaging a couple WRs for an upgrade at RB? Would a 1 for 1 be smart if I had to give up Harrison? Another option would be to look to deal Roeth or A. Smith maybe? No decent QBs available, so Id have to get one back. What would you think of Roeth for A Walters and D Rhodes/K Jones? Its weird that Im 2-3 and still somewhat confident in my team, but looking at the stats is gross- Im dead last in my 10 team league in pts per week....gotta do something....just not sure what!!!
I would gladly trade Caddy for Harrison. I think Caddy will continue to struggle.I have had a team tell me that he would like to trade either Harrison or Berrian for a RB would you trade Caddy or James for Harrison. His RB's C. Dillon, R. Droughns, K. Jones, & F. TaylorHis WR's M. Harrison, D. Jackson, S. Smith, & BerrianMy RB's C. Portis, F. Gore, E. James, Caddy, M. DrewMy WR's L. Coles, B. Edwards, R. Moss, R. WilliamsWe start 1QB, 3RB's, 4 WR's & 1 TEI have always like Harrison and I would have picked have in the draft but he was picked right before me and I ended up taking Moss but is giving up caddy to much for Harrison, I don't think he will go for James.
Since, iirc, you play in a PPR league, I would look to grad a backup TE this week. Then, I would look to grab the Minny defense next week. If Minny D is on the wire now, it still should be in a week with them on bye. Minny defense has looked surprisingly good.Hey Wannabee.....I'm back for moreI have never carried 3 OB's but CPep sucked and I had to hit the WW for QB's...I have Brunell, Rex Grossman and Matt Leinart. Thanks to their performances I am feeling better about dropping Brunell.I would have to play Leinart to cover the Bears bye week 7 but he will face the Raiders @homeLeinart's bye is week 9, Grossman will play Miami @homeThose matchups seem promising. Brunell was pathetic, his opponents week 7 & 9 are Indy and Dallas.I need to pick up either a TE to cover for Ben Watson this week...or grab the Denver D to add with my KC defense.Looking for some great ADVICE! Brunell for who? This post has been edited by puddy: Today, 10:59 PM--------------------

enver is best waiver defense. but, I feel a letdown. It is not as though Bal has a stout defense. But, KC plays the Pitt offense. I think Pitt wins in a low scoring game. I think the Jets are sneaky this week since this will be Miami's 3rd straight road game which is brutal.Johnson and Daniels are the only TEs worth picking up.To be honest here is what I would do:drop Brunell and KC defensepick up Denver defense and Johnson. Reasoning is: Denver has Oakland and Cleveland back to back (then Indy) which should give you a couple weeks without worrying about it.I would move Dunn not Caddy only because he is worth the same and Caddy has a better chance to contribute late in non-PPR. Dunn has not scored this year and Vick should make sure to limit Dunn's upside.Looking for a second opinion on who to move. I currently have @ rb :TBellRBrownCWilliamsWDunnFGoreNo ppr, redraft. Our playoffs run 14-15-16. I'm thinking of moving Dunn and/or Williams. Thoughts? The rest of my team : Favre, Carr, Boldin, Driver, Glenn, Colston, Watson, DesClark. all tds 6pts, 1pt for 10ru/rec or 20 pass. Start 1qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1te. Thanks in advance!!
Since you are re-building, I would not touch the 1st rounders. Depends on how gutsy you want to be, you could use any of the below:Offer Brees for Leinart, especially since you have Warner. You might have to scrape by in week nine, but you would have two solid young QBs in Leinart and Schaub. You could offer Schaub, Walter, and Reggie Brown for Leianrt and two throw ins (try to make one a "decent" WR). You really would not be giving much compared to what you would get. The only other toffer I could see would be Braylon and Walter for Leinart.I do not know if any or all are attractive to you or the other owner, but these are viable options to acquire a young, soon to be stud, QB in a good offense.Hey Wannabe, another owner has put his entire team up for trade. He has Leinhart and I'd really like to get him although I don't have a whole lot to offer. I know my RBs suck beyond words....thanks
I think this is a tough one. I think this deal revolved totally around the value placed on the RBs. The Qbs are close enough (with Grossman's injury history) and the WRs are close enough. This deall all comes down to:a. Whether you think Jordan will/can bounce back to 2005 statusb. Gore can stay healthy and conitue to produceI see this deal as Jordan and a top 2007 rookie pick for Gore and a 3rd round pick.Perosnally, the injury risk for Gore may prohibit me from taking that risk. But, in all honestly, I think the rookie picks are overvalued, unless you get 1.01. Gore is definitely worth Jordan and DWilliams, imo. But, not Maroney. There is risk there, too. I would probably hold off. I think the pick alone, if top pick (or two) might be worth more than Gore alone.Hope this helps.Wbee,Is it worth losing a top 3 rookie pick to make this deal ?thanks.I getGROSSMANMICHAEL CLAYTONFRANK GORE3rd round pick 2007----------------------I give upPENNINGTONDREW BENNETTLAMONT JORDAN1st round pick 2007 (TOP 3 PICK !!!)My QBsBradyPlummerCutlerPennington (Grossman)My RBs (start 3)Caddy WilliamsFosterMcGaheeJordan (Gore)ArringtonWRsBerrianSMossDJaxBennett (Mi.
