If that old opener is getting a little tough to turn, spray the moving parts with PAM (or other) cooking spray. Then wipe the excess off the handle, etc. Tried it the other day, instantly went from being an annoyance to the fastest/smoothest can opener I've ever used. Been a few days and still awesome.
