Warner Owners (1 Viewer)

Tat

Has-been punter
In most of the mocks I have done for my league, I usually get Warner in the 7th or 8th round.

I have noticed that Leinart goes undrafted (17 rounds).

So, I was wondering, has Leinart gone in any of your drafts, if so, when?

I got warner in the 9th in my league, and I'm going to pick up leinart this week off the wire. He went undrafted..

I took Warner as my starter in the 8th, then overpaid for Leinart in the 13th. However, given the fact that I think ARI QB will be a top 5 fantasy producer and the fact I don't foresee Warner finishing out the year, I felt it imperative that I get him. Furthermore, it was at a live draft where I was getting the vibe that other owners were getting bored and were beginning to reach for backup QBs, and Leinart is a bigger name. It's no coincidence I think that Vince Young went only a round later. I was happy with my team at that point and there were no other available players glaring at me on my lists. Lastly, I had foolishly waited to long to grab TJ Duckett (he went in the 7th) to handcuff to Portis so this was fresh on my mind as a mistake I didn't want to have happen again.

So, is Leinart worth a 13th rounder? Objectively, probably not as he may not play a down and is a rookie. However, given that I took Warner and am banking on ARI QB as my starter (Brooks and Favre are my other QBs and am not confident in either), I thought I shouldn't have waited longer.

I would imagine that Leinert would be one of the top backup QBs in the league to have, especially having value to the injury prone Warner owner. So if you're league tends to have any backup QBs on any rosters, I would say that he will be drafted. Depends on your league size, roster requirements, and scoring.

In one of my league (14 team, 3 player keeper) we have position minimums and we are required to carry 3 QB (start 1). If I had Warner, I'd be damn sure to grab Leinert (and happily overpay a bit) as my 3rd QB.

12-team redraft money league. Start QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/PK/DF with 6 Bench (15 rounds)

From #9 spot, got K.Warner at 9.09. Leinart went undrafted.

12 team league, 15 round draft

Warner went at 5.12; I got Leinart at 14.3

My other QB is Plummer. Warner owner has every HOU RB other than Lundy (who I got at 15.10). Toying with the idea of working a deal.

I took Warner @ 5.04 in a league with severe roster restrictions. My first four were two each of RBs and WR . There was a run on QBs in a this very QB friendly league. I reached a little but I also think the AZ QB will be a top-5 fantasy commodity. I then took Leinart in the 12th. Leinart is a savvy player. He may throw some picks, like all rookies do, but he could put up good numbers, if he gets a chance.

He's gone undrafted in about 5 leagues so far, including one 2QB league.

Where I have possible QB issues (e.g., Simms, Kitna) I have been scoping him up off the WW, planning on a hold 'em.

I did the exact same thing and to me having Leinart is a must for any Warner owner assuming Warner is your #1 qb. And should Warner go down you'll be damn glad you used a 13th rounder on him. To not cuff him is foolish unless you're in a league with little roster room.

I didn't draft Warner. But as my last pick in a 10 team, 22 round draft I added him onto my team just to mess with the Warner owner. :banned:

I have Warner in two leagues.

In one Leinart went undrafted, in the other another owner screwed me over and took Leinart in the 8th round! (I got Warner in 7).

Drafted Warner in the 8th and Lienart went undrafted. 12 teams and 16 rounds

I tend to draft multiple QBs with upside hoping one breaks out. I also drafted Favre in the 11th and Kitna in the 14th. I figure one of the three will get me top 10 stats. I don't have room for Lienart on my roster but if either Kitna or Favre looks bad once the season starts he will be my first pick up.

12 team, 20 rounds. Moved from 2 player keeper last year, to keep three this year, all different positions.

I picked up Leinart at 14.12 before the Warner owner could snatch him up. I drafted him before my real #2 QB, specifically to keep the Warner owner off him.

Leinart will have value this year if/when Warner goes down, but I plan on keeping him. The way he has looked so far, with that young receiving corp, he could be top 5 by next year and for many more to follow.

On ESPN last night, Mike Ditka emphatically stated that Leinart will be starting by Week 6. He's very impressed with how polished Leinart is. He didn't say whether he thinks Leinart will beat out Warner or replace him due to injury...

If I had Warner, I'd definitely want Leinart unless I had other solid QB options.

we haven't drafted yet but i would like to tag Warner and if i do i will certainly grab Leinart late. (25 round draft).

if i don't get Warner, i will still try and get Leinart late because there is just way too much talent at the WR position in Arizona and I just can't see Warner playing 16 games.

Leinart went undrafted in my 10 team league redraft ~3 weeks ago and is still there. I managed to scoop Warner McNabb and Leftwich. My league is a 16 round draft that starts 10 players 3WR and a 1Flex with the normal 2RB 1 TE 1K 1 DEF. I only have Leftwich as a bye replacement for Warner or McNabb as they have the same bye week. I couldn't pass on Warner in the 10th since my league gives bonus points for over 300yd+ games. Anybody that checked out Warner stats know that he is good for a couple 300 yd games him and McNabb were in the tops in the league even though they didn't play a full season. Due to my limited space on my roster it makes no sense for me to pick up Leinart. Even with an extra two roster spots I still wasn't grabbing him where I could picked up an extra RB or WR

I drafted Warner with the last pick of round 9 in our 10 team league (pick 9.10). I backed him up with Brooks with pick 12.1. Leinert is a FA. We can only carry 2 QB's so I didn't see the point in adding Leinert and having a bye week problem that is obvious to everyone else in the league.
