**Washington at Baltimore** (-6.5, 42) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

Born & raised in southern Maryland. You either rooted for the Colts or the Skins - never both. If you loved one, you had to hate the other. I inherited the Baltimore teams. It broke my heart when that drunken slob moved the Colts. Adding insult to injury was that Washington was really, really good during that same period. So I've always had an irrational hatred of Washington's football team. Until the last 15 years or so, when I just felt pity for their fans.

I'm a stealth Commanders fan nowadays, mainly because my friends who are diehard followers have a little spring in their steps for the first time in 30 years. They are building what appears to be a competent organization, have competent coaching, and a star QB who has the DMV buzzing.

However, I'm still a Ravens fan first and foremost.

Caveat!!! I am the world's worst gambler.

I'd bet the under if it's still 52. I know everyone thinks this will be a shootout, but I'm thinking this will be will be a grind-it-out game. There are the two best rushing offenses in the NFL and I think both teams will rely on that.

Baltimore's defense is better than it's shown (against a Murderer's Row of QBs). I think Washington's defense is exactly as advertised (they'll get there, but haven't arrived just yet).

Derrick Henry and Justice Hill run wild today.

Ravens 26, Commanders 18

This over under is bonkers with two teams that know how to churn clock and dominate TOP. Game might end in 135 real life minutes. It's projected that every drive ends in a touchdown.

8 to 10 play drives, 6-7 minutes a pop. 5 to 6 drives per team this game if the clock will just bleed? 100 combined plays?

Commanders will really miss Robinson on this one and see Daniels throwing a multi INT game. Rude awakening.

Ravens 30 Commanders 13

The Ravens secondary and their pass defense 2 of the last 3 weeks has been pretty weak
Washington is not as soft on defense as everyone thinks, last 3 weeks especially they have looked much better under Dan Quinn

I really want to take the points here but Baltimore has also been flexing more of late
Washington is ahead of schedule in terms of wins and losses, the Bears improved to 4-2, that wa s another dark horse I had to be in the Playoff hunt

BAL 27
WAS 20 and they likely trail double digits throughout

But I like Daniels and hope he does well

Nice drive by Washington after the INT to get 3 points.

I'm still not sure if it was a bad pass by Jackson or a whiff by Andrews trying to catch it.

3-3 end of 1Q. Neither offense has been able to get off much yet.

For FF purposes, Flowers is the big scorer so far. I know this, because of course I'm facing him

That was a ridiculous catch with the DB’s arms inside of the ball.

He is a real beast that is not talked about enough around the mainstream NFL media.

A flag there would have been outrageous. He's still in play, right next to the first down marker where a first down ends the game, and he STILL pulled up some and didn't hit him as hard as he could have.

That should have been a flag... I get it, but the QB gives himself up, pulls up as he is going out
disagree, Jackson was still in bounds AND at the sticks AND the defender looked like he pulled up a bit...he DID NOT hit him nearly as hard as he could have. Good no call
He was heading out of bounds and pulled up on the play.. The league half asses it on protecting the QB,and a sideline hit like that really doesn't need to happen.. Guys can get hurt with how many guys are over there and with the equipment.

I remember the 2009 SEC Championship where Greg McElroy was running towards the sidelines and started to pull up, the defender slowed down and didn't hit him, and then McElroy turned up field and gained 20 extra yards and then started taunting. Never have I wanted to see a QB get decleated more.

Back to this game, "He started running slower" is 110% not an excuse for a guy not getting hit if he's in the field of play. Especially right near the sticks of a game clinching play. For all the defender knows LJax could have pulled up early and been shorter of the 1st down than he thought and saving the extra half yard knocking him out sideways could have made the difference. This actually happened to Saquon in the Eagles game today where he pulled up thinking he had the 1st and actually ended up a half yard short. The Eagles had to settle for a FG attempt instead, which was then blocked and run back for a TD against them.

He wasn't in play.. He gave himself up
and the defender pulled up....I think your glasses are tinted purple here
Im a Steelers fan.
still wrong here, as every other post has agreed ;)

I came away from this game even more impressed with Daniels than I was before. That guy is the real deal.

On the other side, I thought #8 for the Ravens was magnificent.
