Washington at Seattle (1 Viewer)

All for women being NFL refs - equality needs to be the thing in this day and age, long overdue.

But I do have issues with refs using lip balm. C’mon, there is no moisturizing in football.

How does a replay official decide they even need to review that?  You watch it once and it's obvious that the call was right.  Why in the world would you think you need another look at it?

The clock was at 4 when they stopped to review it
Which was almost simultaneous to them snapping it, so it actually hurt them.

And to that extent, what happens if a team runs 30 seconds off the play clock, then they review the prior play, they reset the play clock but still wind the clock?  So there could be like 70 seconds run off the game clock between plays?

Additionally what if they had stopped it for the review immediately?  It's then essentially a free timeout for Seattle.

I thought this was the whole reason they put the 10 second runoff in.  You go back to the time at the end of the last play and if the review ends in a manner that the clock was supposed to keep running, you run off 10 seconds.

I can't explain what the NFL is doing, they keep making dumb rules and then discover that the rule causes a problem so they make a new rule to fix that problem which inevitably creates another problem

The clock must have stopped at some point because I find it hard to believe that only 8 seconds ran off before they reviewed it. I will have to go back and watch that.

Yea I think they initially ruled it incomplete and stopped the clock and then another ref ran in and overruled it so they started the clock at that point.

IN the end the clock was handled fairly for all, and it's much ado about nothing.
