Watching NFL games over internet (1 Viewer)

I have a friend who is living over in Japan and wants to be able to watch NFL games for his favorite team over the internet. It doesn't necessarily have to be live, he just wants to be able to watch it. Is there a site or "method" anybody can recommend to be able to do this?

Thank you for any inputs.

When I was in Japan there was an NFL satellite option. As far as internet, a guy in my league recommended veetle.com for watching NFL free online, but I've never tried it so I can't vouch for it.

I'm not going to outright say the website but if you use that one really big search engine with keywords "Watch Free Live Sports" you'll find a good index of events/streams. NFL will shut streams down during the broadcast but they'll pop back up later. I got to the point where I just went straight to some of the stream sources, justin.tv, and watched from there. It took awhile to actually find the game, most were a static picture trying to get you to click on their affiliate links for ad money. I found the Jets game about three pages deep.

I had to do this as my Dish receiver is currently in busted mode.

Some of the streams listed on that unnamed site will require Veetle or Vshare. I don't know anything about them as I refuse to install that sort of stuff on my systems. If you look around you'll be able to find streams from Ustream or Justin which will only require Flash player.

Good luck. And remember, pirates are bad.

They have some decent prospects in their farm system, so there's hope.As for the OP, a previous thread about a week ago with this exact question was done with a great suggestion that I took and was later edited out. If you look deep enough, i think there's a quoted link in that thread still remaining. i tried it last week and it worked wonders, watched 3 out of market games at once in pretty good quality.

I was in Japan last year and the NFL.com has an option for overseas internet streaming, just as if he had Sunday Ticket from Direct TV. The copywright and monopoly Direct TV has on NFL games is limited to the US and Canada (I think) and US territories.

As long as he lives out in the town, and not on a US military base, he will have an overseas IP address and he can use NFL Game Pass on NFL.com

As a matter of fact, they AUTOBILLED me this year for the package, but I am no longer overseas, so I can't use it. I would be happy to let him have my login and he can use it to watch the games. I had it last year and it isn't too bad. More reliable than ATDHE or Channelsurfing.

Send me a PM and I will give you the information to pass on to him. At least someone will get some use out of my money.
