Well Landry isn’t s fa, so you have to give up extra for him. Robinson and Watkins becoming available probably hurts his market. I think it’s more which team do you want to go to if you’re the wr than which wr do you want. They both will get paid I think, even if it’s for a 2-4 yr deal vs 6-7. Lots of teams in the market and have cap room to spare, lots of teams with young qbs in place that need weapons surrounding them. If I’m them, here is my list based on team/qb and $$.
1. SF- money would be comparable to anyone else, Garropolo is ready to play and Robinson fits what shannahan looks for in a wr.
2. CHI- Trubisky showed pretty well with little to nothing at wr. They should be willing to use some cap space to try to get one if the top WRs in fa.
3. NYJ- could offer the largest contract. Likely playing with a rookie or McCown.
4. CLE- could also offer a ton of $$. Also could see a rookie qb or aj mccarron, or perhaps another year of Kizer.
5. IND- perhaps you get to play with Andrew luck someday....seems to like making splash fa signings
6. WAS- Alex smith struggles to hit his WRs, but if you’re getting a big contract maybe you aren’t worried about production anymore.
7. DAL- probably can’t offer the biggest contract, but jerry jones wants a shinier dez type talent.
8. CAR- not sure if they’d come with the cash, but they should stay in the playoff hunt year in year out.
9. SEA- kind of an honorable mention, I’m not sure they’d be looking, but adding a threat to that passing game might be what the doctor ordered.
10. JAX- perhaps they work out a long term deal with Robinson this week. Perhaps he decides to test the market and gives them an offer to match out of courtesy. Perhaps they go after Watkins instead, or just roll with what they have.
