I drafted Rodgers to be my every week plug-n-play QB, and am of the belief that he should be started regardless of matchup.
But then I grabbed Watson off waivers 3weeks ago and watched him outscore Rodgers by 20 points, in my league scoring, two weeks in a row.
With Houston’s Defense suffering some significant injuries last week, the offense will need to carry the team. So, I see more gun slinging coming for Watson. Add the Browns defense isn’t exactly amazing at stopping the pass.
Meanwhile, Rodgers seems to struggle in Minnesota. If Rodgers is benchable at all, against the Vikings in Minnesota might be when.
My scoring system favors running QBs and QBs that throw long TDS:
TDs Passing:
* <20 yards = 6 points, 21-49 yards = 9 points, >=50 yards = 12 points
TDs Rushing:
* <20 yards = 9 points, 21-49 yards = 12 points, >=50 yards = 15 points
Passing Yards: 1 point every 50 yards. Bonus for 300 yards = 5 points, 400 yards = 8 points, >499 yards = 12 points
Rushing Yards: 1 point every 20 yards
My gut says Watson will out perform. Footballguys has Rodgers ranked higher. What say you all for week 6?
