I got an invite to a cousin in law’s wedding up in the Adirondack Mountains. What’s your opinion on bringing a gift for a broski type fella? I have no idea what to bring and is it rude if someone doesn’t? 

Also, should I rent a room for the night? It’s like a 6 hour drive to and from.

Cousin in law sounds like it could be pretty distant.  Do you know these people?  I love a good wedding, but if I didn't know anyone, I wouldn't go.

My friend had one of these a couple years ago and it was amazing. Nice hotel and live band going to a bit after midnight.

that reminds me of a story from when i was a kid a guy down the block had two dogs blue and biter now you would think that old biter would like to bite people but youd be wrong it was blue that sob was mean as hell and bit everything that moved the point is that even up in them adirondaks they call it an adirondak chair because they are prideful like that round those parts take that to the bank bromigo

Can't be 1 because, well the wife or husband of one's cousin is already married,  not getting married.

Assuming it's 2, our boy isn't going there to bed any bridesmaids and is (hopefully) taking his wife. To that end, I say let your wife figure out the gift (it's her cousin not yours) and definitely get a room.
