***Week 1 Game Thread - Wash at NYG*** (4 Viewers)

I will say this though, demeanor wise Manning is head and shoulders better than he used to be

The Eli Manning face is gone, instead he's pissed with himself (as he should be, BTW) and into it

eventually the HAVE to call holding on the vaGiants

did the Tyree SB play absolve them of all holding sins?

WOuld anyone think about trading Plax after this game? He is going to end up with about 10-12 catches at this rate, 150 yds...I'm just saying that you could likely trade him for another WR/RB taken a good round ahead of him in the redrafts...maybe Plax will have 100+ catches this season, but I doubt it.

Does Campbell really suck this bad or are the stats misleading?
The passing offense is getting up to speed, and he's looked better than his stats have indicated since about 2:00 left in the first half. Still, they're not giving him many 1st and 2nd down passing opportunities, which I'd like to see them do.

Nope, Plax is a boarder line elite WR with Eli throwing to him.

Jacobs not really impessing me.... showing very little creativity out of the backfield....hes like a lemming at times. Ward def looks better when it comes to making something out of nothing.
Jacobs has 12-13 touches for 85 yds...c'mon Icon, what are you selling?Jacobs has a 2:1 advantage in touches and other than an injury which is more likely given his size, stamina, and running style, Jacobs will be the starter throughout the season.
You can look at the stats all you want, I'm watching the game. I'm just calling what I'm seeing. I don't own ward or jacobs in any leagues...I'm not "selling" anything.I'm also not saying ward is going to win the starting job.... just making an observation on their play when there's not much to work with.

Is it turning into the Peyton face?Archie would literally need to hit Eli in the face with a shovel to do that, but seriously, hes morphing into Peyton face without the Peyton skills

Thanks. I'd like to see Portis get more than 1 good run all freakin game myself, but their play calling seems to make Paterno look radical.

I'm watching it too, Jacobs has looked terrific and I think 80% of the board would agree. Ward looks very good too, they both did very well when they played last year. If you own Jacobs you should go get Ward, we could agree on that, yes? And you probably have the GInats covered pretty well. I really thought Bradshaw would see some action tonight and it looks like that will be a no.

I somewhat hear what youre saying because hes had so many lanesbut youre not waiting to see Jacobs make moves like he's Westbrook, youre waiting for something like that bulldozer he put on Landry in the first

Tuned in late. I saw the post about Cooley staying in to block, but has he even been targeted?
Great question Tecumseh...he has not been targeted much at all, other than Moss grabbing a short pass for a TD that was created on a very iffy call of facemasking against the Giants...the Skins look pathetic at times tonight.

'Skins need to take more chances passing. There's no excuse for the run pass ratio to be 18-10 at this point in the game given how much they've struggled.
