And ppl are banging on me with my opinions???? WOW!!!I'm starting Beanie over him. I am debating Ray Rice or Ced Benson for RB #2, then I need to consider one of those RBs or TB Mike Williams for my flex.

Because you own two RB's who you're projecting to score more than him.Why draft a guy in the 1st round only to question should he play him or bench him???quite the contrary..the noobs will play Rice no matter what...the more experienced can see that maybe a lesser back or WR(or QB in flex league) with a much better match up is the way to go. Sounds like the start no matter what crowd here have some pretty crappy benches. sorry you didn't draft better..lol'rjv said:Benching your #1 pick just shows how some ppl are noobs to fantasy football. You drafted Rice #1 so you don't have any type of debate on who to start in that position.Do us a favor and before you hit the "post" button, use what brain cells you have left and think first. Oh projections? Ahh ok got it. Thank you Bears. Bottom line, I would feel much better knowing I started my #1 draft pick and he goes off rather than overthinking it and benching him and he goes off. If he doesn't do well then oh well, he is your stud, start him.Yes you want to win the first game of the season but you can't lose the season if Rice has a bad day! If you've drafted him play him, simple as that. He's too good to sit and you know he's going to touch the ball, unless you have another #1 running back to plug in you have to play him, I am and won't regret the decision.
I agree...where he was drafted means squat. Not going with the guy projected to get more points(or you feel will get more points) is not maximizing your odds of winning. It's a game folks..who cares where u drafted the guy?? if you have options that look better to you, Beanie, THT then play them no matter what people on here say.
Look up his stats last year vs Pitt....bad..real badIn PPR Ray Rice is matchup-proof. Step off the ledge.
Funny you should say that. http://www.fantasyfootballcrystalball.com/Overall_Expert_Results_2010.aspxOh projections? Ahh ok got it. No fkin kidding dude. Now, would you rather start your #1 draft pick over your 8th rounder you think will have a better day and only get 5 or 6 points out of your #1, while the guy on your bench has 15 and you lost by 8?Bottom line, I would feel much better knowing I started my #1 draft pick and he goes off rather than overthinking it and benching him and he goes off.
The bold is the key here. YOU THINK!!!!! This is exactly my point. "I think" Rice will have the best weeks out of anyone I could have drafted in his position so that why I drafted him in the 1st round. The chance of Rice having a good day is so much greater then a guy I would of drafted in the 8th. Wouldn't you agree?Rice has a elite FB blocking for him, look at what Leach did for FosterNo fkin kidding dude. Now, would you rather start your #1 draft pick over your 8th rounder you think will have a better day and only get 5 or 6 points out of your #1, while the guy on your bench has 15 and you lost by 8?Bottom line, I would feel much better knowing I started my #1 draft pick and he goes off rather thaover thinkingng it and benching him and he goes off.
And he had 150 total yards both times when they played in 2009.I am not saying there is no chance he will have a mediocre game. I am just saying he is a PPR stud and doesn't belong on a bench.Look up his stats last year vs Pitt....bad..real badIn PPR Ray Rice is matchup-proof. Step off the ledge.
No, I would not agree. So I'm sitting him for guys I think will score more. It's a 10 teamer so my squad is deep. In another 16 teamer I have him in, I don't have any better options so he's in.The bold is the key here. YOU THINK!!!!! This is exactly my point. meh I feel better when I know I started the guy I think will score the most points. Not the guy the herd thinks will score the most points. Where you drafted a player means squat the second the draft is over.Thank you Bears. classic over thinking it. good job
Rice has 11 FP right now. I don't think you can conclude this was overthinking it yet. Heckuva 1st quarter for sure, but talk about jumpin the gun.ok so 12 points before half is jumping the gun. sure thing.classic over thinking it. good jobRice has 11 FP right now. Absolutely. First of all, we have no idea yet how other RB's are performing who people sat Rice for. Not saying Rice won't go on to become the top scoring RB today - but absolutely it's jumping the gun.ok so 12 points before half is jumping the gun. sure thing.classic over thinking it. good jobRice has 11 FP right now. +1. Classic mistake to over think things in Week 1.Sure am glad I didn't bench Rice, lol...
I will continue to start who I think will score more points, regardless of where I drafted them.I guess this is why you never bench your studs...he's having a killer day
Ravens are kicking ###.Nope, not anymore! Is it still jumping the gun?![]()
Never say never, but starting Rice this week was a no brainer.simple ,NEVER BENCH YOUR STUDS ....GO RICE!!!!!
