2012 has been a great year for movies. Here's some I have seen.
The Dark Knight Rises: After a year-long absence and many rumors of his demise, Peyton emerges in Denver, Colorado to battle one his most powerful foes, BIG BEN. Using his cunning and skill, he defeats BIG BEN decisively and vanquishes him back to THE PITT.
21 jump street: A cool movie about two buddies with different personalities. Jay (#6) and Brandon (#15) seem to click and get along just fine as we follow them in a day’s work as they trample a bunch of Colts. In this movie, 6+15 definitely =21.
Man on a Ledge: Larry is a normal guy living in Arizona that finds out that no matter which friend he chooses between Kevin and John, he is doomed to a life of misery.
The Possession: Set in New Orleans, Louisiana, Bob Griffin is a regular kid who dreams about playing football until one night when he crosses paths with a witch doctor who casts a spell on him. Possessed with super-human abilities and armed with Gatorade, Sub sandwiches, and Adidas shoes, Bob defeats the New Orleans Saints, posting a perfect 158.3 Quarterback ranking in the process.
Lockout: A small, independent flick about a bunch of professionals struggling for equality that are being held down by Big Business, despite the obvious fact that holding them out is harmful for the environment.
Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Witness Protection: I didn’t actually watch this one because it got terrible reviews but I understand it stars Chris Johnson, DeAngelo Williams, and Trent Richardson (This movie is also released in Europe as The Three Stooges).
Magic Mike: Based on the true-life story of Mike Pereira, a former Vice President of Officiating for the NFL. In this movie, Mike dazzles us as he portrays instant recall of any rule asked of him while we watch on the field as it takes 7 men, a crew of officials in the booth, a man on a headset linked to yet another professional, and a review booth to spend 5 minutes to get the call wrong.
M.I.B. 3: MIB (Man in a booster chair) 3 is about a mild-mannered man named Russell who wears the number 3 and comes up just a bit “short” in his 31 attempts to score in the red zone.
Beauty and the Beast (3D): Living in New York City, Jet gets told by everyone he talks to that he is ugly…until he meets Bill and discovers that he is really a beauty and Bill is beastly to behold.
Dont have time for a trip to the movies and want to catch a good Redbox rental?
No Country for Old Men: A gripping tale of a man named Michael Turner who struggles with the realization that his time in the sun is quickly being eclipsed.
