week 1 predictions (1 Viewer)

Reggie Bush will get 20 points (PPR scoring) in Week 1.

People will go nuts, and won't realize that he's playing an awful run defense.

The smart people will sell high, and bask in glory.

Mike Bell going 19 for 60 is basically 3 yards a carry. Im not saying he's all world or anything but im pretty sure i could run for at least 4 yards per carry against the Rams.

[hijack alert..]

you philly homers in here think westbrook will play in week 1? at what percent health?

[hijack over]

The Jets and Titans play to a thrilling 0-0 overtime tie, with neither team crossing into the other team's side of the field. Vince runs four option plays for 2 yards. After the game, Jeff Fisher's head literally explodes.

Mike Bell is named team captain just prior to the Rams game, but it's all just.... nevermind.

Mike Vick goes 3-22 for 29 yards and 4 INTs vs. Carolina. Jim Mora calls it "a step in the right direction."

The scoreboard breaks in the Cincy/K.C. game. RAIDERNATION cleans up on the OVER.

Seattle destroys Detroit. Fans start a chant calling for Wayne Fontes to take over as coach.

Chester Taylor runs for -16 yards against the Skins on MNF.

Terrell Owens has 4 catches for 55 yards. Terry Glenn has 5 catches for 70 yards. Owens sulks on the sideline and won't talk to reporters after the game.

Mike Bell has 22 carries for 118 yards and 2 tds. Tatum Bell has 6 carries for 15 yards. Mike Bell is named week two starter. Tatum Bell owners start seventeen threads on The Shark Pool stating that Shanahan has it in for Tatum, who is clearly the best Denver back.

Reggie Bush has seven touches for twenty nine total yards. Fans talk for days about the thrilling six yard gain he had on one of his carries, where he juked a 280 lb. defensive end. Everyone agrees that he is the next Barry Sanders

Brett Favre's statline reads 14 for 39 for 138 yds. with 1 TD and 4 interceptions. He says he might retire, but won't decide until Wednesday or Thursday.

Wali Lundy and Vern Morency combine for only 80 total yards. Owners scramble to the waiver wire to pick up Ron Dayne.

Cleveland and NO combine for 81 points as CLEV takes a 44-37 shootout. Both teams rush for over 200 yards team-wise.

Rudi gets 95 and 2 TDs, but KC wins 34-21 in Arowhead behind 175 from LJ and 2 Trent Green TDs. Palmer throws a TD, but also 2 INTS

Plummer throws for 300 as DEN annihilates STL 34-10 in STL. Javon Walker is his old self with 7 catches for 130 Yds and a TD....Rod Smith also goes over 100. The Bells @ RB have pedestrian days. The Rams running game looks below-average, as DEN holds SJax to 75 and no TDs-the TD goes to Bruce.

BUFF beats NE in the upset that will have the national media in a frenzy. In a low-scoring game, the Bills win 16-13 when Gostkowski misses a game-tying FG with :03 left. Dillon and Maroney split carries evenly with NE's only TD coming by way of Ben Watson.

Cincy puts up 50 points, but Palmer only throws for one score....to TJ.

Rudi bangs in five short TDs.

JERRY oh you're crazy

KRAMER am I? or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?

Philadelphia at Houston Lundy locks down job with 100 yard game, PHI wins tight game

Seattle at Detroit SEA wins big as DET defense cannot hang. Kitna struggles and Bradford as 2x as many catches as Roy

Chicago at Green Bay Green makes it through the game and TJ secures the starting gig for the year with 150 yards rushing

Dallas at Jacksonville Glenn has more catches, yards and scores twice, TO is held in check and cameras pan to him every 30 seconds

Indianapolis at N.Y. Giants Everyone sees how fast INDY's defense is and they hold Eli in check. Peyton pulls out a close one as Wayne scores 2x and they win 20-17

Minnesota at Washington WASH wins close game but they dominate in every category on offense.

San Diego at Oakland Moss will be open, Moss will score. Gates will be open, Rivers will have a very hard time finding him. Burgess and Huff make a impact.

 Funny post...and maybe not that far off.

If Kitna falls on his face the fans might start "bring back Joey" chants. We are a tormented breed of human, our emotions and pain so knotted up that we will never escape our twisted realities.

Dude, how do you figure the Browns have a bad run defense? That is the strength of this defense, and the defense is the strength of the team. They will have at least top 10 run defense, and probably top 5.

Miami at Pittsburgh - Mia, Just not feeling very good about this game w/o Ben. I think Saben confuses Batch into mistakes and Pitt has had trouble coming out of the gate in previous years.

Atlanta at Carolina - Atl, lots of people are sleeping on Atl, but this team will have a fantastic D (thats it totally different from the one Foster torched 2 times last year).

Baltimore at Tampa Bay - Balt, McNair his healhty... for now.

Buffalo at New England - NE, Will be a very close game, but NE at home proves too much.

Denver at St. Louis - Den, St.L can't stop the Den run and that is why they will loose.

New Orleans at Cleveland - Clev, NO can't stop the Clev run and Brees is forced into a key mistake.

N.Y. Jets at Tennessee - Tenn, home team toss up.

Philadelphia at Houston - Philly, McNabb will torch these guys.

Seattle at Detroit - Det, upset special. Sea D strugles in this one and Kitna looks like Warner of old.

Dallas at Jacksonville - Jack, Could end up as a 7-3 game. I'm siding with the home team.

San Francisco at Arizona - SF, I still don't think Arz can stop the run and SF will take advantage.

Indianapolis at N.Y. Giants - NYG, Eli vs Payton is overhyped. Barber and the running game are the difference here.

Minnesota at Washington - Wash, Wash will remind us early why preseason means nothing.

San Diego at Oakland - Oak, another upset. I just get the feeling that Rivers is not quite ready and though LT will run wild a few mistakes it all it will take for Oak to capitalize.

N.Y. Jets at Tennessee - TENN

Dallas at Jacksonville - DALLAS

Indianapolis at N.Y. Giants - NYG

Philadelphia at Houston - PHI

Titans sit alone atop the AFC South!!!

- Julius FAR out-performs Marion

- Phillip Rivers answers all doubters

- Javon Walker is the story vs STL, not a Denver RB

Reggie does nothing week 1 - 70 total yards 0tds

McNabb goes off - T.O who?

Brandon Jacobs rapes the Colts defense

Washington whoops the vikes - 34-10

Man KC getting the ole' finger here in this thread lol
The thread will still be here this time next week. No Willie Roaf isn't going to stop the Chiefs from destroying the Bengals, just in the same fashion they did 8 months ago. The question is whether or not the Bengals can overcome the crowd and score as many points. My homer-tinted guess is no. I see the Chiefs, my team, struggling to break .500 this season. But at home, opening weekend, against the vastly overrated Bengals? I'll take my chances.

Are you talking last season? This is an entirely new season when the focus was placed on improving the run defense with major pieces on defense.

Seattle at Detroit - SEA

Dallas at Jacksonville - DAL, wins on a FG with no time left after blindfolding Vanderjerk and spinning him three times

Indianapolis at N.Y. Giants - IND

Minnesota at Washington - WAS

San Diego at Oakland - SD

Larry Johnson will be week one's most valuable fantasy player.

The first, but ultimately not for the last time.

At home, in the opener, with fresh legs, motivated to start his new season and quest for 2000 yards, against the Bengals (who don't even have their best [and only half-decent] run defender, Odell Thurman)? My jaw would be on the carpet if he had fewer than 100 yards and two touchdowns.
