Week 1 Shootout! (1 Viewer)

I'm not buying all this AZ @ SF hype. Warner is still a statue and could easily get broken off which would result in Matt stinking up the field. I'm also a believer in SF's improved D this year. They actually weren't that bad last year IMHO, and with an improved offense (anything is improvement over Alex Smith-even JTO) their D should perform even better. SF beats AZ at home 14-10...not much of a shootout. Fourteen points isn't that much for a Martz offense you say? Issac Bruce and Josh Morgan aren't Calvin Johnson and Roy WIlliams...

Now for a real shootout why not look towards the GA dome? DET @ ATL looks juicy to me. Rookie QB with tons of upside, improving WR's, improving O-Line, new RB that has a lot to prove, below average D. We all know DET is going to have it's usual fireworks on offense and stink up the field on D.

Who's with me?

Who's got some other juicy predictions for Week 1 fireworks? :bag:

I think the Dallas @ Clev game will be high scoring. If T.Newmen does not play it could be a 60 point game

Hou v Pit.

Houston's secondary and the run game are suspect at best. It's to both teams' advantage to put the ball in the air early and often.

Cowboys and Browns have the highest over/under at 49

I'm on board with this one. I have little doubt that Dallas will be lighting up the scoreboard, and the Browns will have to respond. With my man T-New out, that Dallas secondary just isn't the same. I expect Pacman will get tested early and often. Rookie Orlando Scandrick will probably see time working in the slot in nickel situations, and could surprise. Word out of the Cowboys camp is that he has come along quicker than first-rounder Mike Jenkins.

I'm a Browns homer so first off I'm going to go with our game...although realistically we could be playing catch-up all day. I have a bad feeling Dallas beats us by 2-3 touchdowns. I will say 45 - 28.

The other game I think could be one is the Texans/Steelers game. Mark that one down.

Believe the hype, lots of points in the AZ-SF game. Plenty in some of the others listed as well.

On Moving The Chains today, Pat Kirwan was saying how he thinks that the left side of PIT's o-line will have a hard time pass- blocking against Mario Williams and Okoye. PIT might run the ball more to save wear and tear on Ben.

:goodposting: Probably going to something likeDallas 50-10I mean, can you really see Cleveland doing much of anything against this team, sans Jamal if he's out, with DAunder center, a guy who is still recovering from a concussion suffered weeks ago?:lmao:this one will be over 2 minutes before the Nat'l Anthem is sung..in other words, Cleveland has NO SHOT this weekend..I LOVE the Dolphins-Jets matchup, always a great game, one of the better rivalries in sports history, seemingly always a good game to watch...I like the Fish to give the Jets all they can handle..Ricky and Ronnie Brown will run ALL OVER the Jets porous run d, and Favre should slice thru that swiss-cheese Dolphins secondary.Fish win 34-31, late FG wins it for Miami..
