TE:
Probably no way to truly parse this but
Pitts @ IND
Schultz v JAX
I have Schultz in because I think the Colts will be plenty fired up after acquiring Sauce but, Pitts is still good for 7 targets/game. But, if CJ Stroud is out with a concussion, I think I have to pivot to Pitts.
I like Pitts more by a pretty wide margin. In general, I think he's a better TE (Mooney has been a decoy with Penix) but adding no Stroud, to me, is huge. If I did weekly rankings, I'd probably have Pitts in the 10-15 range. I don't think Schutz would be in my top-20.
On to week 10 and another week of trying to guess the right lineup. Standard scoring non-ppr league.
I need to pick 3 out of these players and 1 must be a WR:
Warren vs LAC - Getting volume which is huge and had 2 TD's last week
Etienne vs HOU - Decent last week and had 58% snap share
Vidal vs PIT - Had a juicy matchup last week and did absolutely nothing with it; 72% snap share but that could go down this week
Johnston vs PIT - Was targeted this week and caught 4 passes and a TD; 2nd on team with a snap share of 68%
Olave vs CAR - His lowest targets of the season with 4; Is that a sign of what is coming for the rest of the season? Shaheed now gone so that can only help
Deebo vs DET - I've fallen into the Deebo trap too many times this season; he doesn't perform when expected
Thanks in advance as always!
I think I'd have to go Olave against Carolina, especially with Shaheed gone, I think Olave is 10+ targets until we know he isn't. I like Warren against the Chargers as well. Like you said, the volume is just so good. 3rd spot is tough for me. Its basically choosing between which Charger I like more. Being that its non-PPR, I'll say Vidal.
non-ppr 6pts all tds QB dilemma
I've managed to get this decision wrong 7 straight weeks and when I finally didn't have to make a decision last week due to the BYE, Jones sucked anyway lol
D.Jones vs Falcons
Mayfield vs Patriots
Could also put in for Darnold (vs Cards) on waivers tonight.
You can't run on NE. I think Mayfield will have tons of volume, so he's my pick, especially as the scoring system doesn't incentivize rushing TDs.
I'm in QB hell with Daniels down. I picked up McCarthy vs. Ravens but should I go a different WW route:
- Fields vs. Browns
- Mariota vs. Lions
- Penix vs. Colts
- Brissett vs. Seahawks
- Rodgers vs. Chargers
I'd be inclined to roll with McCarthy. Best weapons of anyone in that group, and he has underrated mobility. If Fields had a better matchup, I could make that case, but against a team with that level of pass rush, I'm expecting lots of sacks, which could also mean few TD chances, and increased fumble potential.
With Kayshon Boutte sporting a "Questionable" designation, I may need to pick up a WR this week. Should that be the case…
Jordan Addison vs. Baltimore
Quentin Johnston vs. Pitt
Thanks!
I think both these WRs are better than Boutte in general. Johnston especially being available is wild to me. I think he's your call here.
0.5 PPR
Pick 1:
Sam Darnold vs Cardinals
Bo Nix vs Raiders on Thursday night
Pick 1: (a lot of this probably depends on who is playing and not playing ie Swift and Jones).
Kyle Monangai vs Giants
Jordan Mason vs Ravens
Devin Singletary at Bears
Zach Charbonnet vs Cardinals
I like Nix a lot more than Darnold, especially given the matchup. Raiders D is awful across the board, other than Crosby.
I think Monangai would be my pick regardless of Swift's status. NYG have as bad a run D as there is.
PPR Need 1QB 2RB 2WR 1FLX
Maye @ TB
Mayfield vs PA
Rico vs NO
Warren @ LAC
Monangai vs NYG
ASB @ WAS
JSM vs ARZ
D Adams @ SF
I think Drake Maye has reached top-5 QB status, and is basically matchup proof to me. I don't know that I'm sitting for Mayfield ever going forward.
Adams is an autostart at flex for me. He's not all that different than your other WRs. I think Rico against NO is a potential top-5 RB this week, so he's in for sure. Monangai vs Warren depends on what we hear on Swift. I'm inclined to lean Warren if Swift is active, but its close.
Okay this is a little convoluted. In a 0.5 PPR league:
I need one each position from the following:
Wr
Pierce vs atl
Watson vs phi
Washington vs hou
Not sure of home/away.
Washington likely to get lot of targets but going against Texans and that defense seems to be crazy hard to play against. Honestly not excited to play any position player against them.
Watson likely to get more targets without Kraft and possibly golden. Still worry about going against phi
Pierce likely to get something but no touchdowns yet and not sure what to expect from atl, defense
Would have to drop pierce or Watson to get Washington. I think with Meyers his overall ceiling is down and their matchups going forward are hard but he clearly has connection with lawrence.
Te
Theo vs chi
Loveland vs nyg
I lost Kraft last week and have Ferguson who is on bye. I picked up Theo as my opponent has dart. Loveland still available. Could swap Theo for him.
Qb
Mayfield vs patriots
Darnold vs cardinals
Tampa looked horrible in last game before their bye. Makes me want to lean darnold but sites seem to like baker.
I prefer Mayfield to Darnold. Just expect a lot more pass heavy gameplan.
I'd go with Pierce at WR. Indy is more pass heavy than people think, and Pierce has been good for a big play almost every week. Trust him a lot more than the other 2.
I like Loveland over Johnson regardless of Kmet's status. I think he's passed Kmet.
S Tucker vs NE - assume no irving
Tuten at Hou
Mason v Balt - assume Jones plays
Pick 2
Half ppr
Mason and Tuten would be my picks. Tucker has an awful matchup and is a clear backup.
10-team PPR with two flex spots. Who to play at second flex?
Demario Douglas @ TB
TJ Hockenson vs. BAL
Tez Johnson vs. NE
Woody Marks vs. JAX
I'd go with Marks, regardless of Chubb's status. Maybe Mills will be more checkdown happy than Stroud?
PPR 32 teams.
Doubs vs Philly or downs vs Atlanta
Would you start the second over Brissett as flex? Thinking always start the QB but maybe not.
Or over Egbuka vs NE?
PPR 16 teams
If he plays, do you start Bucky Irving vs the patriots over Jameson Williams in Washington?
12 team PPR I need 2
BTjr in Houston
DK metcalf at chargers
JCM vs lions
Never sitting Egbuka. I like Doubs a lot more than Downs, given the pecking order. I would start Brissett over either.
Bucky isn't playing, so that answers that. I'm viewing Jameson as a low-end WR3 who is TD or bust. Have some concern Washington gets down bog early, and the Lions get run heavy.
Don't expect Thomas to play. I view DK as a solid WR2, and JCM as more of a high-end RB3, with the assumption Washington tries to establish the run early.
non-ppr:
Harvey vs LVR
Slayton @ CHI
J Jennings vs Rams
Half ppr:
Collins vs Jax
Swift vs NYG
Sutton vs LVR
Thx
Slayton sits for me. What's he done to deserve a start?
I'd go with Sutton. Collins with no Stroud, and who knows with Swift, I'd just start the guy playing tonight in a good matchup and live with the results.
PPR League. Need a 2nd flex:
* C. Watson vs PHI - Golden and Wicks could both be out, plus T. Kraft gone. PHI D has been beatable.
* P. Washington @HOU -- Not a great matchup, but BT trending out and T. Hunter out. J. Meyers on the way in, but he may take some time to get acclimated and the coach has already indicated Washington stays in the slot. Again, bad matchup, but he should get plenty of action.
* Tez Johnson vs NE -- Godwin probably out. Evans probably out. Egbuka in. Otton could play a larger role. That said, Tez has popped and this could be a high scorer vs. NE.
WHich?
Thanks
I think Watson is not really an option out of this group. For me its between Washington and Tez, and I lean ever so slightly toward Washington just because he seems more PPR friendly.
PPR league. Need an RB:
* Z. Charbonet vs AZ -- Should be able to score on AZ. Could get a TD plunge. He is who he is.
* RJ Harvey vs LV -- Not getting a ton of touches, but he's making them count. Floor is soooo low here. Would hate to stare at 4 points starting tonight thru Sunday.
* J. Mason vs BALT -- A. Jones DNP yesterday and could be iffy or limited. BALT D starting to get healthy. Not sure what to think with this offense with McCarthy. If MN gets down, could see more Z. Scott.
Which?
Thanks
I wouldn't start Harvey tonight. I think you wait to hear more on Jones, and if he sounds like he's getting his normal role, I'd go Charbonnet. If Jones is out, or very limited, then Mason.
