Week 10 Waiver Wire (1 Viewer)

Cousins played in a monsoon and then in sea.  I know the mn matchup also stinks but I think the best thing might be to play him again with the options out there
Not to mention with most of his oline gone plus some of his weapons out as well.

Has he been playing all year? I just really hadn't seen or heard him do anything until this last night.
Somehow JT found open space on the field vs Oakland. He looks lumbering and slow out there. I don't see him doing anything special for the rest of the season or his career.

Anyone going to stash Bridgewater in case of emergency?
Was he ever good? I've never understood the love. Even if he gets in there, they are going to protect the %^&*% out of him with a great defense and conservative game plan.

Lee over Westbrook? I have a feeling JAX may keep going to him as their #1 even when Westbrook comes back.
I agree. Jax is rolling right now and they are actually making Bortles look competent with some sound playmaking going on around him. I don't see how introducing a rookie into the equation helps that unless it's on a very limited and package based basis. It's not broke, don't get too cute.

I have Ertz off, and my plan was to do a one-week rental with Kittle vs my NYG--who cant stop any TE's. Now, Kittle is out and Garrett Celek is the starter. We're talking bottom of the barrel. Other TE options I'm facing (non-PPR)--worth the dice roll on Celek or one of these guys for week 10?

Marcedes Lewis

Julius Thomas

Ebron

Martellus Bennett

Jesse James

If only Bortles could stop throwing Honeybaked Hams at his WRs  :porked:
Yeah, Bortles is fighting his throwing motion at every step. But Lee will make a difficult leaping catch of a bad pass then drop an easy one in the numbers. Maybe he's surprised it's on target. I dunno.

OT, but he's actually gotten better since the preseason with his accuracy (which is scary). I've had chances to get Lee and Westbrook but I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger. Been burned with AR15 too many times, even if the offense didn't funnel through Fournette.

I like Keelan Cole and Westbrook but I'd stay away with JAX receivers, it's gonna get spread around. Plus after the Chargers they play some bad teams and it could be even more run-heavy. I think Marcedes is a safer option. (And if your TE only gets 3 catches for 36 yards, it's not as damaging).

They were 14th in the league against TE's this season.  Not that horrible.
Based on what? Yards allowed? Not being combatative, just curious as by both "eye" standards and having watched every Raider game for, well, decades, this has absolutely been their ongoing, persistent weakness for the last many years.

Based on PFR ranking using standard scoring, Raiders are 9th worst at total fantasy points allowed to TEs, 11th worst in FP/game, 10th worst for receptions allowed and yardage allowed to the position, and for TDs allowed.

While they are not the absolute worst this year (seems that teams like the Giants, Browns, and even Denver are worse), it's still a big hole for us.

Based on his quiet year so far, I think Julius Thomas went off because it was the Raiders as opposed to being dependable every week. Last game was an all-season high in targets (8 vs season average of 4), receptions (6 vs season avg of 2.4), yards (84 vs season avg of 24), and TDs (his first all year).

Maybe the thought here is that Cutler has turned a corner; maybe the absence of Ajayi will lead to more passing (though Drake and Williams were ok if not solid in tandem). Maybe.

With Thomas, I think you are just chasing a one-game performance than a sustainable trend.

Chase?  I picked up Thomas last week and used him for Gronk's bye week.  Thomas has 4 games left that are as bad as Oakland against TEs.  He has by far has the most upside of any TE on the waiver wire.  Go ahead and wait until he has several good weeks and he will be gone.   The next two weeks are tougher matchups but then a stretch of four really good matchups.

Forte looks reborn and has a pretty full workload lately. I don't have much FAAB left but I'm going in for 90% because I need the RB help. If it's not enough, Rawls it is... :X

Forte, Ben Watson, Robert Woods, J. Conner ..le'veon bell cant possibly survive this overkill usage hes on pace for what ,410 carries??

is Sterling Sheperd playing?  robbie anderson with the kearse suspension.

bilal powell mop up duty vs. very bad tb defense?? jets Defense is going to  maul fitz..obliterate him..youre all in on this one..jets should crush him and the lowly bucs sans evans. like stealing candy from a baby.

Cole Beasly getting a lot of dink n dunk now that theyre without zeke?? probably.

If JAC's defense wasn't so good I think Lee would easily push WR1 value. His target share has mostly been rather large (19%, 35%, 21%, 9%, 29%, 29%, 23%, BYE, 32%) but that doesn't always translate into a lot of targets. It's nice that JAC is good in real life now but I'm curious to see what would happen to Lee if Bortles was forced to revert back to being a garbage time hero.

Dorsett with hogan injured and likely missing a few weeks.

Did anyone watch the Carolina game?   Was newton targeting Samuel deep?

Yes, chase. Go look at his game logs so far this year -- I think it's undeniable that last week was by far the exception, not the rule, in terms of targets, receptions, yards, and TDs.

I only see one game coming up -- week 13 against the Broncs. Of the teams they've played already, only the Ravens have been statistically worse at covering TEs this year than the Raiders from a fantasy points scored perspective, and Thomas had 2 receptions for 2 yards in a game where Miami had to pass. And a lot of his production against the Raiders came in garbage time.

Not saying it's impossible. But given history so far, it's very improbable. I'd definitely be looking at guys on the wire like Cook, Clay (if dropped), Vernon Davis (until Reed is healthy again which could be never), and Watson well before Thomas.

Unfortunately McGuire got the mop-up duty against Buffalo.

CJ Fiedorowitz. Savage isn't playing the 31st pass defense this week, more conservative dump offs to CJ

L Murray, Rawls, and Foreman are available?  Who would you rather have?

Someone cut Tyler Kroft,so I think my prayers are almost answered. Kind of surprised since he has Gronk. I hate to spend a high percentage of FAAB here but I'm on a 3 game losing streak, and have a winnable game this week.

I am going to be forced to blow my ww position on Rawls.  :bag:    With Martin stinking it up I dont have a choice as there is nothing else there.  Maybe this time he comes through for me.  Just playing the odds here.

A shark deep stash play may be CAP from the Panthers.  I feel another bad game from Jstew and they are going to pull the plug on him.

Any Kelce owners without a backup find any value on waivers for a 1 week loaned TE?

Looking like my best option is Charles Clay. But guessing there may be some other gems i don’t know about.

I currently have Clay in there but if he cannot play this week I like Ebron vs CLE or Celek vs NYG as dart throws

I’m attempting to trade Kelce and a RB piece to the Gronk owner. May take some time. So nice to know a few more flyers that I can wait on for a bit this week.

Let us know what deal you make. I've been trying to acquire Kelce so I can then move Gronk for a RB

For deep leagues, SF is hurting at WR with Garcon on the IR and now Trent Taylor out indefinitely.  I'd be taking a look at Goodwin, Robinson, and Bourne (depending on how deep your league is).  Matchup vs the Giants on tap this week, so some real sleeper potential exists here.

Murray. The points have'nt really been there, except the one week.

His carries have though. There something to be said for that. The past four weeks, in order,

12,15,18,19. Thats pretty  damn good.

Plus his ankle has had two full weeks of rest. Add to the fact he plays alot of passing downs and has had multiple RZ/Goal Line carries... that volume will pay off.

would you guys play him over martin this week?
Ehhh... off the cuff I'd say no since the Tampa Bay game figures to stay somewhat close and Martin would be in positive game script, but Martin's usage is odd. He can catch but doesn't get thrown to, and the jets Run D isn't terrible. Plus Fitzpatrick tends to air the ball out alot... I think you take the sure volume of Murray.
