Week 10 WW pickups (1 Viewer)

also Kevin Smith with Best dinged up, and pending Roddy White's condition maybe Harry Douglas. I'd also say Jimmy Graham at TE due to Shockey's injury, but that could be premature and the Saints spread the ball too much anyway. Potentially, Sidney Rice may be back earlier than expected because of Harvin's ankle. If not, Berrian might be a one week wonder.

From Rotoworld 11/4

Though Shaun Hill (fractured forearm) returned to Lions practice Thursday, he won't be available for backup duties this week.

"He's getting closer but not close enough," writes beat writer Tom Kowalski. Drew Stanton will back up Matthew Stafford for at least one more week.

If Stafford is out for a bit I'd rather have Hill then my backup in Hasselbeck

Nate Burleson's probably on a lot of Waiver Wires and he's been very good - especially in PPR - for the past few games.

Willis McGahee continues to score touchdowns. He's a viable RB3 in all leagues as a result in my opinion.

Donald Brown looked decent although James vultured two TDs today. But if Addai and Hart continue to miss time, Brown should be a decent RB3 in PPR leagues most weeks. James could be looked at in TD-heavy leagues.

Depending on what happens tonight maybe Tashard Choice.

i like mcgahee and brown. also, kevin smith on an outside flier.another possibility: vincent jackson for week 12.

Best was getting carries on the last couple drives still, I dont think Best misses time or anything. Just an FYI for the Kev Smith chatter

Think Seyi is a more of a one time play. He may get points, but no where near what he will get with the rest of the crew coming back.

Yeah, that came from the tv crew saying he was hurt because he came off after his TD run was nullified by the Jets calling timeout. He had a couple more touches after that and looked fine (or rather sucked just as much).Just an FYI about Smith for the rest of 2010 - he looks good in spot duty, but his knee is sore as hell, getting iced down all the time. He's basically playing while rehabbing. Even if the opportunity were there do to a Best injury, either Aaron Brown gets more or they bring in another warm body. I really don't think he could handle a full load.

I picked up Ajirotutu last week (didnt play him despite the dream matchup). But isnt he pretty much dropable despite the huge game? Bye mext week, Floyd probably back week 11, VJax back week 12

In redraft I think so. I won't be putting in any claims for him in the leagues he's available partly because my WRs are strong, but like you said, Floyd and VJax back soon after a bye next week, not to mention Gates. Seems to be very limited upside here. In a dynasty he's worth grabbing since the WR situation isn't real great going in to next season.

Bucs DT ... facing the Panthers.

Blair White for atleast a week

Curious how the Chargers WR's play out with Gates, Naanee, VJax, and Floyd coming back. If any are missing in 11 there may be one more game of value but hard to keep Seji or Crayton over the bye.

Ford is interesting but again the bye means Murphy and Miller are likely back.

With Rodgers,Rivers and Brees on Bye.... Garrard has Houston at home.
good tip. I have Rivers... and picked up Stafford last week so I could use him this week... going to seriously consider dropping Stafford picking up Garrard... a soon as I hear more about Stafford's injury...

Ugh I have Stafford behind Rodgers so it's Garrard, Hill, Young, etc afterall. Two stud weeks leading up to it then nothing the one week the whole year I was expecting to use him

I'm in the same boat, but I think Garrard is a great WW pickup this week for a spot start. He's going against the historically bad Houston pass defense, and coming off a bye week after a really great game against the (albeit hapless) Cowboys. Seems like a perfect situation for Garrard. Of course that will probably mean 116 yards and no TD's, but it looks good on paper.

I'm going to roll with Garrard over McNabb this week since I also have Rivers in one of my leagues. Won't be the end of the world if it doesn't pay off, but you gotta roll the dice sometimes.

I was so impressed with what I saw from Ford this week! He's definitely worth a pickup, especially in leagues that reward return yardage.
Return Yard leagues maybe. But the real question is will they still make him a part of their standard offense once Louis Murphy and Zach Miller return? Those guys were getting most of the targets when healthy.

What about D Woodhead? Didn't see the game, but his stats look pretty decent. For those that saw the game any comments? Will he surpass BGE?

BJGE and Woodhead play different roles so it's not a question of one surpassing the other. NE uses multiple RBs and they use different ones in different situations. It's hard to predict which one will be more fantasy-relevant in any given week.

Woodhead seems to be the most consistent, and next weeks matchup against Pitt doesn't bode well for BJGE.
Yeah I would agree that Woodhead seems to be the better play for next week- Pitt D will probably bottle up Lawfirm and Brady apparently can't throw the ball more than 15 yards down the field anymore, so look for a lot of dumpoffs to Woodhead. Even better in PPR leagues.

Cardinals D? Not good in yardage leagues, but TOs and D tds are good.
:blackdot: BTW...They got the Cowgirls at home Week 16!!!
Don't forget about Carolina week 15 too!! If Claussen is in that could be good as well. How long is the Hasselhoff projected to be out for Seattle? As long as he's out, they're a great matchup play for DSTs.

I am considering one of these QBs for week 10Cutler vs MinGarrard vs HouFitzpatrick vs DetDET QB vs (Buf and Dal the next 2 weeks)BTW, FWIW Sanchez and Garrard have the same opponents (CLE and HOU) the next 2 weeks. Garrard both games at home

James Jones although he is down with MSW level consistency (0 yds, 100 yds, 0 yds, 123 yds in his last 4)

mike goodson car.............all the other backs are dinged up seems like...deangelo should return week 10 but ya never know...he at least gets catches for ppr purposes

I have Rivers on bye and had stafford. I am thinking Fitz for consistency although Garrard might have the highest ceiling.

Blair White is a good flier, considering the offense and Collie's up and down injury season

Jacoby Ford looked for real to me, that kid can fly! DHB is rendered useless, that is if anyone still had any hope left...

Jacob Tamme if he's still FA is a no brainer

Donald Brown for the desperate

Mike Goodsen for the TRULY desperate

Shaun Hill as a QB2 the rest of 2010, but perhaps not week10 BYE week filler

Garrard as the hot week10 QB1 spot start for sure!

Tolbert is a decent flier, but will likely still be clear #2 given Mathews has week10 BYE to rest the ankle.

Seyi was a one time deal imo w/ the other receivers coming back. I wouldn't use a WW priority on him.

Go after guys like Burleson, Blair White (for a week or two), M. Thomas, Mike Goodson (if you're desperate at RB),

McGahee, and Sidney Rice.

Shockey may not be out but if and when Graham gets his chance in this offense h will be terrific.
