Week 12 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

1-10-MIN 23 (10:13) A.Peterson right end to MIN 24 for 1 yard (P.Daniels, L.Alexander). MIN-A.Peterson was injured during the play.

Just limped off the field

Peterson limped off, didn't look so bad but has been out 4 plays now. Gerhart is not nearly as good.

Sideline reporter says Peterson looking at outside of right ankle.. rewrapped.. probably back in on next drive..

That would pout the nail in the coffin of my main fantasy team's season if he doesn't return.

Romo, D.Clark, Best, Addai, Eli's weapons, and now ADP. Not my year.

Rotoworld says probable:

"Adrian Peterson left Sunday's game against the Redskins in the second quarter with an apparent leg injury, but is probable to return.

Peterson is getting taped on the trainers table and he is set to go back in. He appeared to get his ankle twisted while being tackled by Redskins LB Lorenzo Alexander. Peterson had 70 total yards and a touchdown before the tweak."

Peterson has no helmet on to start the 2nd half.. I'd say return is doubtful too.
Sideline reporter said the prognosis changed when they got him in the locker room and tried to re-tape. He was still having trouble when he really put his weight on it and was questionable to return. He definitely seemed to be walking gently on it when they first came out. However, he was definitely lobbying to get back in the game on the first Vikings drive.

Just said he went to questionable to probable.

So he is probable to return?

That's all I heard....sounds like he will.

Before that play, I'm thinking, "Why are you running a play there?" And now I'm watching Bradshaw limp off.

Peterson to have right ankle examined Monday

Chip Scoggins

Minneapolis Star & Tribune

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Pro Bowl running back Adrian Peterson will have his right ankle examined Monday to determine the extent of his injury.

Peterson injured his ankle in the second quarter when Washington's Lorenzo Alexander fell on it while making a tackle. Peterson tested his ankle on the sideline but he was not able to return. He is expected to have an MRI on Monday.

"Obviously I got my ankle rolled up so I'll check in with my training staff [Monday]," Peterson said. "It started to throb a little bit. As you saw, I was trying to keep it loose jogging and trying to plant on it."

Rookie Toby Gerhart replaced Peterson and carried the ball 22 times for 76 yards and his first NFL touchdown.

"He had to step in there and play a full role," Peterson said. "I thought he did a great job. He really helped us keep some drives alive."

Peterson had a great start with 36 yards rushing and a 34-yard catch. He said he felt like he was in store for a big day if not for the injury.

"I felt real good," he said. "But it wasn't meant to happen."

Also, defensive end Ray Edwards said he will get an MRI on his right ankle Monday. Edwards suffered his injury late in the first half and did not return.

Frank Gore was seen headed to the locker room following the team's first drive with a left hip flexor and is questionable to return.

9:05 ET update - Gore seen on the sidelines, helmet on came in on this series.
