Week 12 Waiver Wire Defense (2 Viewers)

Wow, not a lot of good options this week...

Washington vs Minnesota (Will Minny get a Garrett-like rebound?)

Jacksonville @ NYG (Giants offense is banged up)

Denver vs St. Louis

That's about the best of the lot, and none of them really thrill me...

Cleveland at home vs Carolina is gold, Jerry. Gold!!!!

I'm down to either Miami @ Oakland or Arizona vs SF. I'd add St Louis @ Denver as a decent option.

San Diego is on waivers and they have some decent matches moving forward, but they play Indy next week. Ditto for Atlanta (playing GB next week)

Cleveland's D is on many waiver wires. If they're available in your league, snatch them up.

Check out Cleveland's future match-ups -

12 - Carolina

13 - Miami (Tyler Thigpen!)

14 - Buffalo

15 - Bengals

16 - Ravens

17 - Steelers

Buffalo and Pittsburgh are the only questionable matchups.

If you need a shocker special then have a look at the Texans against the Titans. The Titans could be really bad this week. I would have the balls to roll the dice with them if I needed to swing for the fences with a team that could afford to strike out.

I wouldn't start the Texans versus anyone. The way they defend the pass, Rusty may look far from rusty.

Not to ruin the thread, but shouldn't we be making week 13 pickups now so that we are sure to get them?

My pickup for this week is Seattle - gets CAR next week.

Cleveland may or may not be available, but they get CAR this week.

What about Jacksonville? They've been pretty useless this year from a fantasy perspective, but with the Giants receiving corps being so banged up, maybe there's something there?

Not on mine of course!

Minnesota has what Dallas wants (a great RB)

Dallas has what Minnesota wants (several great WR's)

The fact is Dallas is loaded, they just didn't have motivation, for whatever reason.

I'm not so sure Leslie Frazier is the answer in MN, I mean, he is the DC and they lose at home by 28 (31-3)

I won't touch MN until I see them in a game.

Zona vs SF.... that the best i got
49ers were terrible this week, wtf was that all about? Can SF be that bad two weeks in a row? Arizona, if nothing more, is certainly opportunistic...
Where you been, Wilson? SF has been terrible all season, Gore has done nothing, Davis has done little..

So what if they play Indy, Indy is nothing like they used to be, but they do play 'OK' at home. I'd still throw the SD defense at them.

Yeah, and I think CJ is hurt more than Tenn is letting on.

I would tend to agree, and if the game was in Jacksonville I might go with them, but not IN New York. Jax is a different team on the road.

I think the Vikings are a solid gamble this week if a Cleveland isn't available.

Arizona would be a great option, but I think they're taken in a lot of leagues--not great as a real life defense, but all of that scoring has meant they are a top 10 D and rostered in both of my leagues with D/ST.

Oh god, I don't want to play Arizona vs SF this week after they got negative points the past two weeks. I held onto them because of their playoff schedule against Carolina but they've given up 27 points or more 6 games this year. Really worried that they will fare as poorly as Denver did against them. This defense really counts on TDs to stay viable so it's really playing with fire. Not sure Redskins or Raiders are any better but I would think they would be safer. This is a hard week if you miss on Cleveland and SF.
