Week 12 waiver wire pickups (1 Viewer)

I'll start off with Brian Griese.

Grossman is the only thing to hold this team back from a Superbowl. I think Lovie makes the switch.

Random thoughts:

Sammy Morris - Brown is out.

Booker - he's been on and off my WW all year, he looks like he might be Joey's #1 target

Cutler - looks like Plummer is done

M Robinson - deep threat (if there is one on the team). Unlikely to ever start for anyone's team though.

Hicks - Gore just keeps getting more banged up. He can't come back from everything.

C Henry - he's been quiet for a few games so if he's still there grab him.

K Watson - Perry broken leg (Rudi owners)

Harrison/Wright - waste of a spot IMO but they're getting snaps at RB.

V Young - could be fun over the next two weeks if you're a McNabb owner (Indy, Hou)

Duckett - reach, but could get the GL carries

Madsen - worth a shot if you've got the space

B Wade - a lot of looks from Vince today

B Jones - see above

Benson - might be on some WWs

I'll add Vince Young to the list. He looked good today and has been making plays through the air and with his feet. Dare I say, a more reliable Mike Vick?

I'll add Terrence Copper, he may still be out there in a few leagues, mine he is and if you have room he is a decent plug in

Don't think Copper is worth it, as long as Horn is healthy, Copper will only see action on 3 WR sets. If it wasn't for the Hail Mary, Copper's name wouldn't even be mentioned here.

Vincent Jackson

He may be on a lot of rosters already, but he seems to be getting more and more PT, especially with McCardell out. It wouldn't surprise me to see Jackson take more time away from K-Mac even when the old guy is healthy.

Granted, at best he'll have to play 3rd fiddle to LT and Gates, but not too shabby in a generally potent offense.

He looks to have a nice schedule the next few games. I have Brady and Kitna and still might pick him up.I need to win next week to get into the plyoffs and that IND matchup looks nice.

Coper has caught TD passes each of the last 3 weeks. It looks like Brees might be taking a liking to him lately.

Yesterdays td was a hail mary catch at the end of the half that should have been knocked down. Pretty sure it was his only catch. He's only seeing time because first Horn was out and now Colston has been out. When they're back, he's at best the third option there and more likely the 5th or 6th option.

If you need a TE how about Ben Utecht of Indy? It looks like Clark will be out this week and maybe the season.

WW pickups

TE Bo Scaife other Titans TE out and Young played with BO in College

QB Jeff Garcia,(forced to throw a lot to keep team in game) Harrington, R Browns injury to lighten his load

NO WR's Copper or Henderson if their still out there

WR Arnaz Battle- SF o improving and Bryant just had DUI

Picked up Vince Young and the Fins def/st today. Young because I see upside (and because I'm juggling QBs with McNabb out) and Miami because PIT blows (my other D).....

I got Booker and will wait to use him at least another week.

Also got Tynes off the ww. The Chiefs kick alot of FG's, and Tynes has been decent down the stretch.

Haven't noticed Chris Taylor's name in here, RB HOU. A rook who looks like he's gonna get a shot this week. In keeper leagues he may be worth a shot since Houston has no running game to speak of....

fletcher might be the one you want.
Hard to say. Here's what the Indy Star reports:"The decision to add Proehl, 38, was made before Clark's injury and mostly due to the prolonged absence of Stokley, who has missed the past six games after spraining a knee ligament.Without Stokley available to work out of the slot in the three-receiver formation, the Colts have used a two-tight end set almost exclusively. It's unlikely they would scrap that against Tennessee; rather, the Nos. 1 and 2 tight end roles will fall to Ben Utecht and Bryan Fletcher."

Nate Washington--a week or two with a starting job.
I took Holmes instead I think he has the better chance of stepping up when Ward is out.
Figured Holmes was already gone, but there was also this:
Steelers | Washington to start Week 13Wed, 29 Nov 2006 08:46:53 -0800Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers WR Nate Washington will start Week 13 in place of WR Hines Ward (knee).
Looks like Holmes role won't change much, although I agree he has an opportunity to get more looks with Ward out.

I just picked up Brad Johnson for the playoffs. Lost McNabb but clinched playoff spot despite starting Frye last week. Johnson & Kitna allow me to play a QB against GB each week of playoffs (should I win). Biggest concern is that both games are AT GB so weather could be big factor, and Vikes could run Taylor all day.

Thanks for the waiver wire tip.

GB's secondary has been playing much better of late..

A rusty Hasselbeck sure made them look good in first half, but they have given up 7 passing TDs over past 2 weeks. Granted Johnson & Kitna are not Brady and Hasselbeck but its better than many options that are left. I'd feel alot better if they weren't 2 dome teams heading to GB in mid December.

I added Travis Taylor. Mainly because I was unsure of Bryant last week an i dropped Mccardell who was deactivated. (im in a 16 team league so its deeper than hell).

Taylor had 56 yards last week as apposed to Bryants 52.

Taylor also played Arizona last week, hes benched this week in favor for Bryant due to Chicago playin the vikes.
