Week 14 (Playoffs) Waiver Wire (1 Viewer)

I really only need a 1 week wonder out of these guys b/c if I win Zeke is back.  Waivers run tonight and I'll likely only get 1.  I have them all pretty equal for week 14 assuming no new injury news to the incumbents.

My WRs in a non-PPR are a mess due to injuries and suspensions.  I am going to try for Westbrook although I don't trust Bortles and he has Seattle next. I am pondering Marquise Goodwin as another option since he gets Hou, has played well recently and has Jimmy G as his QB.

Uhhh. Wrong. Since they traded for Marcell they have been way better against the run.
Way better than terrible?  Last 4 games:

Gore went for 4.7 ypc

Peterson went 3.95 ypc

They shut CLE RBs down - good for them.

Ekeler went 4.2 ypc and added 5 catches for 77 yards at two TDs

You think JAX D is going to focus on Davis or R. Wilson?  I'm not saying to bench L. Bell for this guy, but I think he's an acceptable play in an emergency.

Jax has given up over 100 yards total rushing twice since they've signed Marcell. Davis could still be a good play but Jax has a good run stopping team now.

Just want to make sure you know Zeke isn't back until Week 16.

I think the Jax run D has been underrated since they traded for Marcel Dareus. That being said, I would agree with this last line. I'm actually starting him over Carlos Hyde.

This is turning into the Mike Davis thread but note that Davis has a 73% snap share against Phi.  Opportunity is there.

His floor seems to be boosted as he played on a lot of third downs as well.  (4 catches vs Philly).  And we know how good Jax corners are at shutting down WRs.

Most importantly, have you seen this clip? (Credit @JFS171 )  :excited:

Hyde goes off this week.

Just set my priorities: Davis and Anderson are 1A and 1B. If not then, Burton since Ertz looks unlikely to play and I need a TE. If I can't get Davis, I'll toss Carson on the end of the bench for a potential keeper/ace in the hole if I sneak into the playoffs.

Hmmm, is that right...?

I prefer Davis. He had over 100 total yards against a legit defense and has little in his way for competition, plus he plays on an explosive offense. As good as Barber looked he faced a really weak defense and could lose his job to Doug Martin upon his return
Actually the Packers have a decent run defense..I like Barber or Davis. Carson is probably back after the Jacksonville game. In a ppr league Barber is who I would want(If I didn't grab him when the news came out that he was starting)I would be trying to get him over Davis.. Martin won't get his job back.TB is out of the play-off hunt,so they will see what they have in Barber. They already know Martin sucks, and what they have in Rogers.... I like TB's play-off schedule too..

Gio is an rb1 this week if mixon misses time and they are on a short week. When there are three weeks left im looking for guys that help me that week so i have gio over barber and davis in that order.

Not FF...Barber, Bell, Collins, the last three weeks put up very good numbers. Riddick receiving and Abdullah with the TD put up decent FG numbers. Ingram and Kamara...McKinnon before that

They have given up a lot of FF points this year.

There is no way Carson is back after this weeks game vs Jacksonville. He would be lucky to get back for the real life playoffs and even at that how effective can you expect him to be after having a broken leg?

From Rotoworld:

"As always, Carroll injury updates deserve a grain of salt, and even the optimistic coach said Carson will need at least two weeks of practice before he is ready to return. That makes it unlikely he helps fantasy owners this season, but he looks on track to return for the real playoffs" Dec 4 - 12:58 PM

Goodwin might explode next two weeks.  They used him more than just a deep threat.  He lined up X, Y and slot.  All over the field.  He caught 27/62 passes pre Jimmy G era.  Then went 8/8 after.  There’s chemistry there.  @Hou then Tenn.

How'd everyone make out? I nabbed Gio, Anderson and Burton. I'll drop one TE once we hear more about Ertz today and maybe go in for another WR.

Now why would you go and say that?
LOL. Sorry, no rhyme or reason.  It feels like Houston has quit on D, and SF has new life...   I don't see the 8-9 man boxes for this week.  Last week the bears concentrated on shutting down the running game, leaving jimmy to throw...a successful approach assuming Da Bears could score more than 14 against the sad sack 9'ers..but alas John Fox was still the coach.

You are spot on... My concern on Davis is that he is made of glass.  Every time this guy gets his "chance" he's hurt.  That being said, if he can dodge the injury bug he will run hard.

Brate if dropped?

Tion Green. Temper expectations (especially if there's any question about Stafford's availability), but anyone who might score a TD is gold at this time of year.
Tion should be the Lions featured back, IMHO.  Not sure the coaching staff sees it that way.

Grabbed Davis and Anderson (te) in one. Barber and Anderson (te) in another. The one league I got a bye week someone dropped Zeke....So I grabbed him and Davis.

Looked great last night. TC & early in the year he didn’t look himself, had a light load all year, and most importantly, the line has finally started to gel the last few weeks. He’s a must add.
Way too early to tell where Mixon is in the protocol. Def a chance he gets out and starts this week

Grabbed Goodwin, Anderson, Garoppolo. Not sure if I’ll start any of them this week, but I have plenty of time to talk myself into it.

Dropped Davante Parker for Gio and Corey Davis for Marquis Goodwin.

I have a waiver pending to drop TJ Yeldon for Mike Davis that will run tonight.

Got Davis...seems only the 6 in the playoffs doing much...some must be slow to the wire today as Barber, Goodwin, Gio still there.

I won't likely start any of them unless Ingram is a no go.  Wishing I could trust Olsen at TE rather than carrying he and Doyle right now.  Barber is definitely the intriguing one of the bunch.

Got Barber.  If Martin out I have a choice to make this weekend.  Surprised Goodwin is still out there in some leagues.  I would think is a top 30 WR this week with upside given his speed and long TD potential.

Waited until waivers ran. Not a single waiver move this week from the rest of the league. Dropped McKissick for Davis. Probably starting Davis over Duke this week.

Added Trent Taylor later in the day, tossing aside Corey Coleman to make room.
