Week 14 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

####### Witten.

We play a 2 week cumulative playoff. Witten now has 6 TDs on the year -- 3 of which he put up DURING the 2 week playoff. Come on.

I'm the 1 seed, and have outscored both the 2 and 3 seed (who are playing each other, and are both done) but my contest with the 4 seed isn't over yet.

Up 46, in PPR, with Arian Foster still to play. He has Eli Manning, Adrian Peterson, and Anquan Boldin. I'm already thinking about 2011. Was hoping to come out ahead with my Miles Austin v his Jason Witten. Instead I dropped 20 more f'n points.

###### Fantasy Football you cruel mistress!!

Was holding a 39 point lead until DeSean went ballistic and mcCoy racked up garbage time yards, now I'm down 5 with Rice tomorrow night. :goodposting:

Heres hoping the hillbilly doesnt play and tavaris can rice to 60 yards.

For those of you who got taken down by Tim Hightower wow that would suck. Can't believe people would be starting him.

I lost due to the freaking DST position which is a complete crap shoot all year. This week I pick Denver facing the clown John Skelton. Results in negative points. Opponent picks NE. Results in 20 points.

High scoring team throughout the season, finished with a record of 10 - 3. Going to lose to a team that is 3 - 10, who scored 600 less points than me during the season.

Rodgers, Jennings, Austin all with terrible point totals, coupled with having to start Choice due to losing Gore.

Plus he had Turner (30.5) / Feely (who got 36 points as a kicker!?!?)

Unless Boldin gets -5.5 points, I'm done for. Which, with ppr scoring, means I need 6 catches for 0 yards with an immediate fumble...

I'm done for ;)

I've got the highest scoring team in a 14 team league and I lost to the team that was 13th in scoring. Thanks to Rodgers, Forte, Calvin Johnson and Watson for coming up so small - this was a team that should have won it all. :scared:

Tied for leagues best record at 11-3 (one doubleheader) and led in points (averaged 95.0, five more than anybody else and 16 more than my opponent and beat him 100.0 to 54.3 in week 5).

Didn't get a bye because I was in the same division as the other 11-3 team and they beat me twice.

First round of playoffs and my opponent had Desean Jackson who scored more on one play than my QB and three WR/TE did the whole game. Aaron Rogers 3.5, Terrell Owens 2.2, Mike Williams 1.5, Antonio Gates 0.0 (was out shopping and didn't get to a PC soon enough to replace him, would have had Earl Bennett and his 6.3 points so it didn't matter much). Also, BJGE and Peyton Hillis couldn't find the end zone.

I have 27.7 with Baltimore Defense and Neil Rackers left. He has 55.1 with Eli Manning, Sidney Rice, and Anquan Boldin. My low score this year was 74.4 in week 1. I'll be lucky to break 50.0 this week.

I'm going to lose a must win game and get bumped from the playoffs because CBS site was down on GAMEDAY and I couldn't change my freaking lineup. POS CBS....

all five of my teams made the playoffs, the only one that will survive (unless a couple big breaks go my way) is the one with the bye...

i've always believed that the goal is to make the playoffs so you have a chance, but man, 0-4 would just blow.

The Santonio Holmes dropped TD is going to cost me my first round playoff game unless Ray Rice somehow gets a TD here. One and done as the #1 seed

Up 4 points going against the Bal Defense. Just no Overtime and I win. ok, overtime. Just no Def TD and I'll probably win. WTF! Schaub you piece of $#%^. And just like that...1 and done in the playoffs.

Wow, this thread is painful and fun to read. My story now sounds pretty pedestrian. I needed the combo of ADP, Nicks, and Ed Dickson to outscore Jacobs. Ah well. Also benched Westy for Starks. At least I didn't start Crabtree. Or lose to a kicker.

Just got knocked out of the playoffs 146.7 to 146.5 on that last Andre TD.
almost the same here. started the night down 3 with Nicks and Ray Rice vs Schaub. Winning by 11 up to the final Houston drive. Going into OT I'm down 147.2 - 147.65. Yay Ravens win the toss, i'm still in it!. Ray Rice's only touch goes for -1. final score 147.1 - 147.65. The best part about this is that I lost in the finals last year by 2.7 points because of Schaub and AJ combo. Schaub does it to me again, this year by less than 1. So amazing. I'm also the commish of this league so I feel like Kevin on The League's season finale.

I have my Kevin moment last week when Witten went off on me. Poor wife just sat idly by while I was punching the couch and cursing.

Somehow I was rewarded for my immaturity by my opponent's players tanking tonight and getting me the win.

But yeah -- it was pure Kevin. I think I even said "Every ###### Year! I never win!" or something like that. It was a little embarrassing.

This was just a horrible week for fantasy football. So many studs didn't show up and cost a lot of teams important games.

No negative points for the pick?

Top scoring team by almost 300pts. Finished regular season at 12-1 with an average weekly score of 144.5.

Lost in first round to wild card team who scored 100.54.

My starting lineup.....

Ryan, Matt ATL QB 8.78

Charles, Jamaal KCC RB 5.90

Foster, Arian HOU RB 15.50

Mendenhall, Rashard PIT RB 8.00

Peterson, Adrian MIN RB 2.60

Jennings, Greg GBP WR 9.20

White, Roddy ATL WR 15.90

Bironas, Rob TEN PK 4.00

Eagles, Philadelphia PHI Def 5.00

Total: 74.88

Had 99 points sitting on the bench with Freeman (20.24), Garcon (27.30), V.Davis (22.50), and Witten (29.40).

5 teams, all made the playoffs. One backed in and had no business being in and was down by 50 going into last night. AJ brought me all the way back to a one point win...UNTIL Shaub was picked off (my opponent had Wilson).

Heartbreaker.

Lost 95-91 in a playoff game, they had the ravens defense, dam you overtime TD...dam you >.<
Right there with you. Had a 2 point lead going into overtime and A Foster. As soon as Baltimore punted I had a bad feeling. Ah well......after the lockout there is always next year. Oh yeah, I had Bradshaw on my bench with Forte starting....OUCH!

   :hot: :bag:

12 - 1 during regular season, took overall first place and scored the mos points.

First round of playoffs...line up is:

QB - Rivers

RB - AP

RB - Hillis

WR - Calvin

WR - Jennings

WR - Wayne

TE - Keller

K - Bryant

D - Pitt

Lose in first round to the #8 team who has the likes of Mason and Branch...just shoot me  :bag:

EFFF U Gary Kubiak. You make it to overtime and you have the leagues leading rusher so what do you do??? Pass on 1st and 2nd down after stopping the Ravens resulting in a pick 6. I just needed 20 yards or a 15 yard catch.

Not me...but the story is still good/painful depending on which side you are on.

#1 seed playing #8 seed (who has no business being in the game).

#8 seed comes storming back late in the game on the strength of Mason to take 1 point lead. On the last drive there was a short pass to Foster (.5 for the catch plus the yardage pushed him into the next bonus category (1 pt). The #8 seed loses by .5 points. Both those guys will get no sleep for two days waiting to see if there are any scoring adjustments.

Had Baltimore not thrown the 3rd down pass, #8 seed probably wins.

8 leagues ... won 5 divisions and made the playoffs in 7. Suffered a crippling injury in all 3 division winning teams with a bye and appear headed to upset losses with my other 2 division teams without byes. In one league faced McFadden. In the other faced a sorry squad with no RB's trotting out Torain and Hightower. Heading into week 15 I'll have 4-5 teams alive of which 3 have crippling injuries. Monster season to on the verge of nothing just like that.
Vent turns a bit happier. May make this a Sunday night tradition if my Monday can turn around my season like this again.Finished 4-1 for the week. My one loss I was 2nd in points for all 14 teams. Played the McFadden owner as mentioned above. I project to win in 15/16 not that it matters now.In another league I had AP and Boldin going against Ray Rice and had a 12 point lead in a PPR. He took the lead but that last OT pass to Boldin put me up. The Pick-6 prevented Ray Rice from getting OT carries from what likely would have been the 50 yard line had the Texans punted. Shouldn't have been close but wow. I had already moved my Lineup Dominator team to the archive folder and written them off after AP stunk up the joint. Oh and I own McFadden in that league. In another I faced Flacco and AP and owned Nicks and survived thanks to AP's stinker. Now the big one ... the Hightower/Torain owner (8th seed) had a 27 point lead going into MNF. I was the point champ and division champ and projected to win by 40. I had SRice, Schaub, and Foster going against Derek Mason. SRice drops the TD and the bomb and Mason catches 2 TD's while watching Schaub stink up the 1st half. I check back into the site late in the 4th quarter to find I was only down about 9 points somehow. That last drive was so fun to watch as I slowly closed the gap. Schaub finally started dumping it off to Foster which he wasn't doing all game for some reason which was netting me double points. Schaub's one first down scamper and TD pass still put me behind by about one point. I figured for sure they would miss the 2 point conversion but they made it which put me ahead by something like 0.85 points.Well, then in OT Flacco does nothing but target Mason but only gained 5 yards which kept me ahead by 0.35 as the Texans got the ball. Note the one pass to Boldin won me the league above in the excitement. So while I really wanted Houston to win I fully expected the Texans at their own GL to punt and Mason to catch another pass but the Pick 6 had me win by about 0.35 points. I came VERY close to losing two leagues in that format by being the 2nd highest weekly scorer both as division winners going in.Now the bad ... I am still alive with money on the line in 7 leagues (and doubled up in the one I'm out) however with the likes of Gore, Rodgers, Gates, etc all hurt all 3 division bye winners are likely underdogs in week 15.

SJax has 2 rushes from the one yd line and doesn't get in. Plus Adrian Peterson doing next to nothing. Lost by less than 4.
