Week 14 Waiver Wire (1 Viewer)

This backfield could win/decide titles... Rodgers and Sims on my wire-- is Martin ok? Will he miss a week or two??
Martin is OK and good to go for this week. I've been looking at Sims and Rodgers myself as a handcuff to Martin but I'm not sure who would be the primary if Martin went down.

My reference.

The TE position is an absolute #### show this year and it has beared out statistically. I know it sounds crazy but I keep writing about it, Gresham needs to be on your radar if you're weak at the position. He's been a TE1 over the past 5 weeks (TE10) and I don't see why this can't continue given his upcoming match-ups. He's on the field for essentially every snap and seems good for ~6 targets a game as ARI turns to other options with Brown dealing with sickle-cell and Floyd still performing poorly. Also, watch Gresham truck Norman. Also, watch him truck a bunch of MIN defenders. He has YAC ability. I'm off all other ARI receiving options not named Fitz.

Gabriel's snaps have actually been decreasing over the past 3 weeks (68% > 50% > 40%), this is despite Sanu injuring his groin and Julio dealing with turf toe. Like I said before, I'm fading Gabriel because of his floor but it will be interesting to see how he's utilized moving forward with all the injuries to ATL's receiving options.

I don't understand Pitta's performance in the slightest. He played on the fewest snaps he's played on (47%) last week yet turned in his best performance. He's been seeing the field less and less lately which makes me believe this is a complete trap. I wouldn't chase this performance.

I still don't think Ginn can catch, I still think you'd rather own him over Benjamin for fantasy purposes. It's really hard to ignore what he's been doing with his modest volume but can you really trust him? Can you trust CAR?

It's again hard to read into CHI's WR corps due to the circumstances surrounding the weather of their game last week. Wilson tweaked his groin and only played on 6% of the snaps. The breakdown with that in mind is as follows: Meredith (78% of the snaps, 4 targets), Thompson (71%, 3) and Bellamy (62%, 7).

Burkhead has assumed Gio's role fully and he's just as valuable, I.E, not very valuable even in PPR.

Kubiak just announced that Forsett and Booker will split carries moving forward. I still think Forsett is washed and wouldn't pick him up outside of the deepest of leagues.

With Hurns out Lee saw his highest snap percentage (95%) of the season and saw 9 targets. However, a target from Bortles is substantially less valuable than your average target and their RoS is awful.

With Austin out Quick saw high highest snap percentage (94%) of the season and drew 8 targets so I suppose that's something to keep in mind.

Thielen's role seems safe even with a healthy Diggs. MIN's week 15/16 match-ups aren't bad and could amount to shoot-outs. He'll remain on the WR3 radar in PPR.

Mitchell saw 85% of the snaps and 10 targets last week. As I stated before it looks like Mitchell's late season value is tethered to Gronk's availability which means Mitchell needs to be owned in every league. I'm assuming he has already been picked up in a majority of leagues.

Josh Hill broke his fibula so Fleener is back on the radar. Hill was stealing a very healthy amount of snaps/targets from him so although I don't love Fleener's match-ups moving forward if he's available in your league and you need help you could do much worse.

It'll be interesting to see if Petty targets Anderson like a mad man again this week. He played on 81% of the snaps and drew 12 targets last week.

Ladarius Green saw a season high 48% of the snaps and 11 targets last week and obviously has the capability to win championships IMO. His ADOT is dumb for a TE (it's Gronk-esque) and his match-ups are good. If Mitchell isn't available he's the #1 pick-up.

Lockett's utilization will always scare me although it has been trending up and he looks healthy. He's worth rostering if you need help.

I have a hunch it might be Rodgers (but that may be biased by the fact that I own Martin and Rodgers, but not Sims).  I think I remember reading/hearing something before Sims went on I.R. how the Bucs/Koetter weren't completely happy with Sims & that they believed Rodgers might be able to do more of the things Martin does than Sims was.

Great post.  Thank you.
