A couple notes:

I attempt to give well considered responses to all questions posted. I can't get to everything, but I'll try.

1) This only works if people participate. If you ask for help it is good form to offer help to someone else.

2) Please post the matchup. e.g. Penix vs Den or James Cook @ Mia (a lot of you are missing this one. We don't necessarily have all the matchups memorized, please don't make us do your legwork. TIA)

3) Please post important league scoring considerations (e.g. PPR, super-flex etc).

4) Please go easy on the nicknames, save that for other threads. We can't help if we don't know who you are talking about.

5) NEW REQUEST: Please remember that if you come here asking advice, it is greatly appreciated if you offer advice to others. TIA


View this as an exercise to help focus your thoughts about teams in general. Players you own may not be involved in these WDIS questions but certainly you will own players on many of these teams. Analyzing other players will help you identify things you may have otherwise not considered.

I'm only a bit surprised that I'm saying this but, I think I pick up Brissett. I think it's fair to say he's matchup proof.

Stafford and Dak are both fine options but, Brissett feels safer and maybe has as much upside.

Pass on Stroud just because he could get pulled early against the Raiders who, look likely to get shut out two weeks in a row.

The last one depends on MHJ. If he's out, smash start Wilson. He's a top five WR in this offense with Brissett.

If MHJ plays it's tougher. I might go with Hampton because it's a good matchup and I was impressed with his usage yesterday.

But, Javonte is clearly a good option too. Tougher matchup, but he'll get his. Very close with him and Omarion and, I could flip-flop a lot between them.

I'm hesitant on Bowers just because I sincerely believe the Raiders could get shut out again.

Being the favorite, I think I’d stick with Stafford. Honestly all your QB options are decent. Stroud might air it out a bit on the raiders before the backups take over.

Somehow, the Texans let McBride go crazy, so maybe Bowers is worth playing, but man he is hard to trust and as a favorite I would probably stick with Kittle (good problem to have though)

Flex (another good problem to have) agree with Wilson but if not, Williams then Bowers.

Who did you start ahead of MHJ & Rome last week? I'm guessing Franklin & Vele.

I don't think I would risk it with Rome this week, he seems more likely risk for reinjury. I'm sure a lot of people got burned by him this week.

Depending on practice reports this week I may take the risk with MHJ. He does seem likely to slide into the lead WR role when he's back (even if the fantasy world cringes at the thought).

I would probably go with Franklin next because Jax is more of a pass funnel defense and, he may have the highest target ceiling. Particularly if Pat Bryant is out again.

I like Vele too and, have no problem with him over Franklin but, obviously monitor his status.

I like Dike more if you get points for return yards. If not, I don't like that matchup. I don't think the Chiefs D is going to fold their tents and go home.

I agree about Brissett. The fact that the Cardinals really can't run the ball and the fact that Brissett appears to be matchup proof makes him the best ceiling/floor combo in my book.

I might consider sitting Rice this week I'm not sure what to expect from Minshew but, most of what I do expect is not good. However, it's a great matchup and I am not sure Mariota is appreciable better than Minshew and that matchup is a lot worse. The Commanders only threw the ball 19 times last week and ran 37 times (10 by Mariota). I am sure they would love to do that again but, I doubt they will be able to get away with it. But, even with more passing I think, because of the matchup

I’d sit Taylor. As game as Philip Rivers is and the Indy team, I think they lost a couple offensive lineman and if they fall behind San Francisco, which is likely, I don’t know what chance Taylor has. As disappointing as he’s been, I would stick with Barkley. Just my two cents and good luck!

Tua looks terrible. He has a weak arm, his pocket awareness has regressed and, the Dolphins aren't very good. But, on paper it's a great matchup. It was also a great matchup for Andrews & Likely last week and, not so much. This could be an Achane game IMO. Waller could find the end zone again, Tua seems to like him in the RZ. It's not great to rely on but, it's something.

Loveland and Caleb look like they are starting to click. Tough matchup but, I think we need to stop doubting the Bears legitimacy. They aren't a Super Bowl team, yet but, they are definitely playoff caliber. They can beat the Packers at home. If Rome misses this week, I like Loveland.

I like Gadsden too but, it's a big time ball distribution offense so, I am less secure in his floor.

I think I go with Brissett here. He's just been so consistent and, you never quite know what you're getting with Nix. Nix is a fine start against a Jax D that is much easier to pass on than run, so go with him, with confidence, if you're feeling it but, for me

I can't recommend benching Jamo. He's been way too good. If he's going to see 7 targets consistently, and it looks like he is, then I absolutely stick with him. Besides, it's a much better matchup.

I hate your options

Worthy and Mooney (even if London is out) don't seem like options to me.

I think Warren is a must start. The Lions D is banged up again and can be run on. He was sick yesterday, not injured, he will see more work going forward. Gainwell was great but, IMO, the timeshare will remain same as it has been.

If Watson plays, I probably play him. He's just too dynamic, even on four targets/game.

If Watson is out, it's close between Deebo and Gadsden for me and, I have flip flopped a few times. That Eagles D is strong and Mariota is fine, but limited. I probably go with

Warren>Watson>Gadsden>Samuel

I may change my mind tomorrow.

Yeah. I do wonder a bit if the Texans will have to pass much to win this game but, they have a good chance to score 30+ just from all the 3 & outs they will likely force. He only needs to make two plays for it to be a solid day. But, I wonder where his ceiling is in a game they should win handily.

I think Lamar is rounding into form, he had two nice scrambles last week (12 & 14 yards). This is a tough matchup but, that also means he will probably throw more than 12 times this week. The Pats miss Milton Williams a lot in the middle which, I think will favor longer drives for the Ravens. I get not wanting to go with Lamar but, I think he has an opportunity in a must win game at home this week.

I like Lawrence and, the Jags have been playing very well of late and the offense has been dealing for sure since the bye averaging 33 ppg going 6-1. I think they take another loss this week in Denver. They could still put up 28 points (or more), they did put up 29 on the Texans. He is a decent option still but, I do worry this is the week they come back to earth just a little bit.

All three are viable options so, make your choice and trust in it. For me, at this moment (and subject to change)

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh... probably Addison because, it's a good matchup and JJ is looking better of late. The Giants can score enough to keep things interesting, unlike the Raiders this week IMO. I don't like Mooney, he's a limited factor in the offense with or without London. He may pop one week but, he'll cost you far more trying to figure out when.

I like Reed probably next, IF Watson doesn't play. If Watson plays... I still might go with him ahead of Mooney and possibly ahead of Higgins.

Yikes. I think BAL is going to run a ton this game which can help Jackson's floor. And NE can score so this could be high scoring game.
Lawrence is playing great but DEN D is good and it's at Mile High.
Stroud has a good matchup but LV isn't scoring much so this could be Stroud getting stats by half and then they let the air out of the ball.

I would go Jackson if you need ceiling, and Stroud if you need floor.

I like Brissett or Stroud better than Dak and Stafford. I would go Brissett, he's been money since he became the starter.
I would go Kittle. Texans D is great and I suspect they will take Bowers out of the game.
I would rank your flex Wilson (if MHJ is out) > Javonte > Hampton > Bowers (since I like Kittle). If MHJ plays, Javonte > Hampton > Wilson > Bowers

and it's close between Javonte and Hampton.

Thanks for your help last week in starting Mike Evans… helped win me the game. This week I’m debating for my RB2 between Kenneth Walker (vs LAR) or David Montgomery (vs PIT). Also have Kareem Hunt vs TEN but I don’t see this being viable with Mahomes out and Pacheco getting most of the carries last week. PPR league, leaning Montgomery after back to back bad games from Walker

I'm going to have to wait until various injury scenarios play out later in the week (Higgins, Pearsall, Neal) to figure out my WR2/flex choices, but right now the decision I have staring me in the face is at QB: Stafford (vs Seattle) or Burrow (@ Miami).

Stafford has been a must-start ever since I traded for him, and Burrow has looked terrible the last couple weeks. But in terms of matchups, Stafford has a tough one and will almost certainly be without Davante, while Burrow is facing a Dolphins team that seems to be in full "1, 2, 3 ... CANCUN!" mode. Oh and of course since LA plays on TNF, I have to make the decision early without knowing whether Burrow will have Higgins available

Tua looks terrible. He has a weak arm, his pocket awareness has regressed and, the Dolphins aren't very good. But, on paper it's a great matchup. It was also a great matchup for Andrews & Likely last week and, not so much. This could be an Achane game IMO. Waller could find the end zone again, Tua seems to like him in the RZ. It's not great to rely on but, it's something.

Loveland and Caleb look like they are starting to click. Tough matchup but, I think we need to stop doubting the Bears legitimacy. They aren't a Super Bowl team, yet but, they are definitely playoff caliber. They can beat the Packers at home. If Rome misses this week, I like Loveland.

I like Gadsden too but, it's a big time ball distribution offense so, I am less secure in his floor.

I think I go with Brissett here. He's just been so consistent and, you never quite know what you're getting with Nix. Nix is a fine start against a Jax D that is much easier to pass on than run, so go with him, with confidence, if you're feeling it but, for me

Question - Goedert is also available on waivers. I do have AJB. Reason I didn’t list Goedert is trying not to stack WR/TE from same team. Do you think it’s okay to do this vs Was? Or stick with either Waller/Loveland?

If you’re a favorite to win, I’d play Loveland. Waller if you’re an underdog.

Like both QBs. Nix if favored, Brisset if an underdog although honestly you can flip a coin.

Question - Goedert is also available on waivers. I do have AJB. Reason I didn’t list Goedert is trying not to stack WR/TE from same team. Do you think it’s okay to do this vs Was? Or stick with either Waller/Loveland?

Well just for full transparency, I’m an eagles homer. Honestly, I’d play Goedert as the most “Down the middle pick” between the three. Waller absolutely has the highest ceiling though. He scored two garbage touchdowns last night, but he could also get you two catches for 30 yards. I guess the same could be said for Goddard but I think he’s more consistent on a better team. Loveland might be intriguing if Odunze is out but gun to head, I’d play Goedert. I grant you that it’s not an easy decision between the three.
