Week 14 2025 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (5 Viewers)

PPR league in which I need to win in order to make the playoffs. I'm a slight favorite by about 10-15 points.

At WR Watson vs. Chicago or McClaurin at Minnesota. Liked what I saw from McLaurin last week but a slight hesitation with Daniels first game back. Watson has been reliable but with Reed coming back I'm not sure how much he eats in to it. Leaning McClaurin because this is why I drafted him.

TE I am at a complete loss. Goedert at the Chargers or Gadsen vs. Philadelphia. Can't say I'm really leaning one way or the other cause I'm lost on this one. Thinking I may wait to see where I'm at Monday night. I'll start Goedert but if I need upside I'll switch to Gadsen. Problem there is my opponent is starting Vidal so I may not really know what I need. 🤷

McLaren, Goedert

I dont think Vidal will get a lot of touches.

I think I already know the answer, but if the following:

J.Chase WR/Cin @ Buf
D.Adams WR/LAR @ Ari
C.Brown RB/Cin @ Buf
R.Rice WR/KC v Hou
B.Irving RB/TB v NO

are the 5 players in my RB/WR/Flex slots. There's no place for a possibly health O.Hampton v Phi on Monday but on my bench. Can anyone make an argument to swap in Hampton?
No, you have the right people in there now.

Watson has been a solid fantasy play since he returned but this week I'd go with MCClaurin for sure

At tight end Goedert has been pretty meh so far,I think Gadsen offers the better upside in spite of last week,so...Gadsen

Alright, survived last weekend with a win to keep my improbable playoff hopes alive with a 0.5 game lead over the team behind me for the last playoff spot. I get in with a win or with him losing to the 0-13 team in my league. Thursday was a decent day for me as my opponent had Lamb and Pickens and at least he scored 12 points lower than expected.

I am still a decent dog going into Sunday and of course this is CMC's bye week which is awful timing for me as I am already light on RB and star players in general. I realize I need to try and take the highest ceiling players this week to overcome my current 20% projected chance of winning.
QB/Super Flex
Nix (@LV)
Stafford (@Ari)
---
Cousins (SEA) (nothing to see here, going to ride with my 2 guys that got me here).

RB

Monangai (@GB)
M. Carter (LAR)

WR/FLEX (4 spots) in order of my current preference

Sutton (@LV)
Deebo (@MIN)
Jakobi Meyers (IND)
Alec Pierce (@JAC)
---
Jordan Addison (WAS)
Tyjae Spears (@CLE)
Tez Johnson (NO)
Emanuel Wilson (CHI)

TE

Colby Parkinson (@Ari)
---
Dallas Goedert (@LAC)
Mason Taylor (MIA)

So I moved Michael Carter ahead of Spears for my 2nd RB spot, I really think Arizona missing as many players he will get plenty of touches and a few catches. I think he has a much higher ceiling than Spears... could still use Spears in a flex. Also my other question is do I play Addison here over either Jakobi or Alec Pierce?
Tight End I am leading towards Colby Parkinson since he has a good matchup and I think Stafford can hit him for a TD or two... Goedert hasn't really gotten anything going as of late. Thanks for any help!

Projected to lose by 17, so I need to be smart or swing since opponent has Gibbs in the barn and Nacua and Smith-Njigba looming.

Need 2:

Jakobi Meyers vs IND
Courtland Sutton @ LV
Aaron Jones vs WAS
Devaughn Vele @ TB

Meyers and Jones feel semi safe picks, Meyers safest with Jags receivers hurting. Jones could go out to Mason at any point or will score 10ish. Sutton is so up and down that he makes me nervous. Can Vele keep it up or is he a silly dart throw until he does that again?
Meyers for sure
Then..
Sutton has a nice upside
Question about how healthy Jones is
Vele I eliminate
IF you think Jones is healthy enough to last 4 quarters he would be my choice
Sutton might get you 8 or 20

I'd stick with Pierce at WR and Parkinson at TE

I agree. I'm a big fan of Watson but, the Packers can't be relied upon to feed their best WR (yes, I absolutely believe it's Watson and, by a good margin).

Terry just produces and he still seems to have a nose for the end zone.

McLaurin>Watson

I don't put much stock in my opponents roster. It's not like I can game plan against them. I probably go with Goedert because I think he has a better chance at a TD. But,.I think your logic is fine with waiting.

Solid logic IMO

The only note I have is: I would be checking the weather in Jacksonville. It's hard to know how bad the rain really is and, weather people love to talk about every drop of rain as some kind of atmospheric Armageddon bomb which is what they're doing with the Jags game this week.

I generally don't let rain concern me, it usually favors the offense just a bit IMO. But, if it looks as bad as they say, I might swap Jakobi for Addison or Tez.

The GB game just feels like a lot of Jacobs and the rest of the team is getting scraps this week.

Two different 1.5 PPR TEP leagues

Supposedly massive rain storm in Jacksonville lasting most of the game making me rethink Strange or Loveland?

Second one is Kincaid is an great match-up but concerned he could play a very limited role or Waller?

The returning Jayden Daniels v Min
or
Baker Mayfield v NO

Must win to make playoffs; I’m “protected” to score 1 point fewer than my opponent.

Was thinking Mayfield earlier this week, b/c of Minny’s success against QBs, but🤷‍♂️

Reasking this because it looks like Trey Benson is trending out in Arizona leaving the door open for Zonovan and Carter again.

My RB situation this week is brutal (CMC, Rico & Henderson/Rhamondre on the bye) leaving me with ETN and C.Rodriguez

Full PPR:
Zonovan v LAR
Carter v LAR
Rodriguez @ MIN

I have Rodriguez in ATM because it's a better matchup but Zonovan is getting fed a decent amount of touches and has TDs in three straight against three very good rush Ds. He also sees a few targets per game which, Rodriguez does not.
Rams rush D is pretty good; I’d go with Rodriguez v Minn

Last minute lineup advice now that we have had a week of practice.

Standard scoring non-ppr league.

Who do I start at flex:

Etienne vs IND - Should have been an easy start here with a good game last week against a bad defence; now we are back to this.
Warren vs BUF - Salvaged his week 13 with a TD but found it tough; BUF can be ran on, just not sure if PIT can keep the game close
Olave vs TD - I usually lean RB in a non-ppr flex but Olave is a serious consideration here

A different standard scoring non-ppr league.

With injuries and bye weeks, who do I start as my WR2:

Mitchelle vs MIA - has been hot the last few weeks on a bad team
Shakir vs CIN - has been consistently inconsistent over the last several weeks

Thoughts?

0.5 ppr Flex

Tyler Warren @Jax
Monangai @GB
Sutton @LV
Hampton vs Phi
Gotta check the weather but, Jacksonville is a big time pass funnel defense. Warren feels like the play.

After that it's close for me between Sutton and Monangai. But, if the Broncos handle the Raiders like they should, Sutton has a low floor.

Love to go with Hampton but, far too many questions about him and the Chargers.

Warren>Monangai>Sutton>Hampton

Andrews
Fannin
Pitts
Schultz

Gross options.

Going against Kirk Cousins in Superflex makes me squint and look at Pitts but he’s wronged me every time I’ve tried to start him.

Here are a couple live cameras in Jacksonville Downtown Jacksonville: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jacksonville Riverfront is the one I had live. I don't know where the stadium is in relation to this but, looks fine to me.

Here are a few time lapse cameras it definitely rained last night but, I'm not seeing anything too concerning yet. Any flags, trees or water looks mostly still and calm.

Strange>Loveland
========================================

I have zero idea how to parse between Waller & Kincaid. Because of, IMO, a higher TD possibility I probably go with

Waller>Kincaid

But, no idea truly.

I probably lean Daniels. I worry a bit that the Bucs could run all day and, the Commanders don't run well. But, I think Baker is a fine option. The Bucs should win and win by a lot so that means hopefully a lot of points to go around.

Daniels>Mayfield

Not sure what Warren you have against Buffalo
So Olave

Mitchell?
slight edge over Shakir..higher upside

You mean, Jaylen Warren? He's at Baltimore.

I think it's close all around. I think Warren's touch count is more stable but, he's in a legit 50:50 time share. It's a fine matchup and he has been solid.

ETN didn't touch the ball a ton last week (13 times) but, he still dominated the snap counts (49% to 29% for Tuten & 24% for LaQuint) and the touch counts (13, 9, 0). I think that may have been a situation where the game was never in doubt and the Jags decided to share the load. In a closer game I think ETN sees a bigger share of the work.

I agree about Olave, he might be the safest option but, no-PPR brings it into doubt. The Bucs are vulnerable to the pass and the Saints should have to work to keep up on the score board.

Tough calls but I probably risk it and go

Olave>Warren>ETN

Andrews
Fannin
Pitts
Schultz

Matchups, bruh. Is it PPR? That stuff is important in here.

Drake London is out again, if it's PPR Pitts seems to be in line for the biggest workload and I might go with him in this circumstance.

But, I lean Andrews and his shiny new contract having a nice game this week. Lamar missed out on a nice game with a fluky fumble and a (semi) questionable OPI call.

Fannin seems like a good player, and it's a nice matchup. I just don't like hitching my wagon to Shedeur ATM.

Andrews>Pitts>Schultz>Fannin

Pick 2.
Flowers, Tee Higgins, Mclaurin
Probably not Flowers with those alternatives.

I think I lean Tee because, with Burrow and a nice matchup (wind doesn't appear to be an issue in Buffalo...trust but verify) and, I think he'll have a nice game while also having the most TD upside of the bunch. I like McLaurin too but, it's not a great matchup and it's Daniels's first game back so I lean.

Higgins>McLaurin>Flowers

Non PPR Standard league need two:

DJ Moore @ GB
Jayden Higgins @ KC
Vele @ TB
Mitchell Vs Mia
Tre Tucker vs Den
I think Mitchell and Vele have the best combo of potential usage and matchups. Their resumes are very short but, even so, those two for me and it's not really close.

Mitchell>Vele>DJ>Higgins>Tucker
