Week 16 D/ST (1 Viewer)

Ive held Pitt for week 16, but Detroit should be a wire favorite with a matchup against The Niners. Also, Buffalo hosts Cowgirls. What else u got?

Yeah, I'm picking up Detroit for this week and Dropping Green Bay. Green Bay payed off last week, but there's no way I'm starting them against Arizona.

I have Denver but looking at adding Detroit so my opponent doesn't get them and I may play them.

I'm rolling with KC.

Different DST scoring so not confident. I need sacks and INT's - Manziel runs around too much to get sacked 5 times a game. Also We are in a yardage league where you get a bonus if you hold them to 100-199 and 200-299 total yards.

I picked up the Texans last week to substitute the Broncos who I had been riding. Now, I'm considering sticking with the Texans vs. the Titans and Mettenberger. Although, the Broncos at home on MNF might be a good play.

Rolling with Denver .. Detroit is available but not dropping Denver for them and also not rosrwering two D/ST all off season in dynasty format

I picked up Pittsburgh to play vs Baltimore, and already had Houston... who I was planning to drop when I thought they'd be facing Mariota. Now that it's Mettenberger, I'm torn. Would like to drop one tonight, but may have to hold both until I can make a better decision.

Picked up the Steelers last week to block my opponent from getting them. Now I have to choose between them and Carolina.

Carolina has been money pretty much all year, and shut out the Falcons two weeks ago. Told myself I was rolling with them the rest of the year regardless of opponent.

But now they play the Falcons in Atlanta, and may start resting people.

Meanwhile, the Steelers get Jimmy Clausen. That's hard to resist.

Picked up PIT for weeks 16 & 17, yes in one league we go right till the end.

Week 16 - PIT @ BAL

Week 17 - PIT @ CLE

PIT will have something to play for and I can see them getting out to a nice lead in both games creating defensive opportunities in both of these games as they most likely will need to win and finish their regular season strong and a playoff contender. 10-5 in first place with 4 teams nipping out our heals at 9-6. Every point counts as it often comes down to a TD, FG, or even one sack to determine W / L and total points. Total points pays half the pot.

In another league I will picking up DET and starting them over NE in week 16 for consolation 3rd place.

I have Pitt @ Balt but Detroit home vs SF is tempting.
Detroit with a good matchup, but that team just doesn't generate any turnovers.
My opponent played Detroit against the Rams in week 14, and he got burned. I don't know that I would trust them.
I'm a Detroit homer and I agree the burn factor is pretty high with them. Once they got eliminated, they have been really moody. Put them in a spotlight game and they play pretty well. Any old game and they lay an egg. I think this game qualifies for the latter and I just talked myself out of them.:terribletowel:

Yikes! I have a tendency to agree being a DET homer since I first started watching them in the mid-60's. Since Mrs. Ford - the 90+ something owner lit a fire under all their asses they are playing "more" inspired and for their jobs. I think DET shows up in this one.

Picked up the Chiefs a while ago to go with the Bengals/Seahawks for the stretch run in the 1 league I am still alive in (can't make moves in the other "alive" league for the #1 pick toilet bowl). Feel great about them against Cleveland so I actually dropped Cincy this week for Bryce Brown. It is a week 17 league, so I will likely drop Seattle as they just haven't been as good as the Chiefs in generating points and no way I play them against Arizona. Hurting at RB (Bernard/Ivory) and have Beckham (****) out, so I need the roster spot. I'd hate to let someone pick them up this week as St. Louis isn't a bad match up. 9 and 7 against Jimmy Clausen and Johnny Manziel is underperforming.

Kind of realizing that I should have dumped Seattle instead of Cincy with Baltimore in week 17. Gonna have to look around for week 17 or stick with KC since they will likely have a lot to play for and have just been solid in FF lately.

Mrs. Ford had already lit a fire under them before they played the Rams, but they still sucked in that game. They are wishy washy.

nobody likes Oakland vs. SD?

There's only 12 d/sts on the wire, packers are the best scoring but play Arizona.

I might actually be a homer and take the Titans vs. Houston.

Thoughts on Bengals D vs Broncos?
This is my scenario. I picked up the bengals for the playoffs and at the time DEN seemed like a good matchup. But they've had decent qb play lately and now I'm not so sure...Considering Pittsburgh. strongly

Drafted Denver's D and used them every week except bye. Stickin with them. It would be just my luck that I swap out for a waiver wire D and then Denver has multiple returns for TD's. No thanks.

I'm leaning towards starting them. They've crushed the weak teams and still had some sacks and TOs against the stronger offenses (Arizona an Pitt). They are a legit defense. I worry about picking up a team like Tampa solely based upon the matchup, and having that decision bite me in the rear, as they are not a good "real life" defense and have very little to play for. The idea of having a Monday Night miracle is also appealing

This is my struggle at the moment. Stashed PIT a few weeks ago but have been rolling with CIN. Now I'm not sure who to start for the big game.

I agree with all the above I just see the potential for osweiler to throw like 3 tds no ints. It's in Denver too. I also don't like going to work Tuesday all tired because I was all jacked up Monday night watching the fantasy stat ticker.

If I can get pit I'll start pit. If I can't I'll roll with Cincinnati. My WW is pretty bare and I don't trust the kittens d at all, even against sf.

yeah -- Bengals did well for me last 3-4 games and outscored my opponents Seattle last week in semis -- I think there's enough concern with Oz they could do some damage -- what bothers me a little is that's a tough 2-week stint -west coast to SF -then Denver

Don't like Cinci D at all.

In Denver. Denver coming off a tough loss.

Think Cinci D's worst enemy will be their offense. Just don't see them moving the ball on Denver. Too many opportunities for Denver to just lean on them with a conservative attack.

The GB fail mary 2.0 did them in and the St. Louis game was pretty predictable.

Ahem.

SF has the worst in Gabbert who's given up three INTs in week 15 and has been sacked 17 times in the last three games! 17 times!!! He's thrown multiple touchdowns in only one games in six starts this season. Also they are down to their backup backup RB because Draughn suffered a knee injury

Yes the Lions have played up and down this season but playing against the 9ers is about as good as it gets.

I'll take my chances all day here.

Going with Steelers, Schaub or Malltet doesnt matter to me. Either QB will be throwing picks or getting sacked all day trying to keep up.

Plus you got Brown back there returning punts.

To say the Bills D has underachieved this year would be an understatement, but anything to see vs. the Kellen Moore-led Cowboys?

Been going with Arizona but with Mathieu out and against GB, thinking of picking up Mia. or Det. Thoughts?
I got zona and cincy and am still thinking of picking up det for some stupid reason. But, I think cincy vs. denver isn't as scary as people think it is.

Their injuries have rendered an average unit pretty useless by this point. I'm guessing you have better options.
