Week 16 Darkhorse RB (1 Viewer)

Kenton Keith is probably on your waiver wire.

Addai may not play the entire game, and if Dungy is smart he won't. The Colts have nothing to play for, and Houston does yield some yardage.

DeMeco Ryans is at less than full strength to boot.

I expect the Colts to jump out on top early and pull the starters after halftime.

Just a name to think about.

Good luck.

I think Davenport took his place.

Addai is the one player on the Colts offense that I want to see get some rest. I think he needs it. I do think Manning should play most of the game on Sunday, unless it is clear the offensive line can't block (I'm talking to you, Charlie Johnson). That doesn't mean I predict Manning will play most the game, but he does need to get reps in with Gonzalez and Devin Whats-his-name.

Depends on how deep your league is.12 x 20?

Do you think KK outscores Addai?
It is possible but not a lock. The scenario for this (KK>Addai) is if Peyton gets 3 TDs in the first half and the Colts are up 21-0 or so at half. Then I could see Addai with 50-70 yards and maybe 2-3 catches and then get pulled. With a big lead, the Colts will run with KK and Luke Dawson (a little) most of the second half. If KK hits the end zone, then I could see him outscoring Addai.Of course, in the game against Baltimore, this played out about the same way but Addai scored in the first half - that's what Addai owners have to hope for this week.I think the odds of KK > Addai are about 4:1, but it isn't impossible.

I thought Houston had a history of giving the Colts problems. I just dont see the Colts coming out and blowing the Texans out.

Jeff I think itll be more of a RBBC for the first 3 qtrs with Keith taking over fully when the rest of the starters are pulled.

Maybe in Houston (though the Texans have only won once against the Colts in 12 tries) - but not in the RCA Dome. 2002: 19-3

2003: 30-21

2004: 49-14

2005: 31-17

2006: 43-24

For me, the choice is either Addai or KK; I have no other options. I'll stick with Addai and hope he gets that first half TD.

Thanks Jeff, now you have me thinking about benching Addai and starting Marion Barber  I hate the end of the season sometimes.
:excited:Sorry guy. In PPR I'd roll with Addai for sure, but MB3 is a good start too against Carolina that may be without Peppers.Good luck.
Well I benched Addai and I put in Barber. So if I lose in my championship game I know can just blame Jeff and feel A-Ok with myself. I love this country !! We never have worry about any self responsibility

It's certainly possible but I think it's a huge risk in Week 16. You're banking on the Colts dominating this game and sitting Addai late. That certainly could happen - the Texans' defense stinks - but it's a pretty big gamble. And even if it happens you need Keith to really roll up the points in what could only be one quarter of serious action. Could that happen? Again, it could but you'd probably need a TD for sure and we all know TDs are the most difficult things to predict. I understand your reasoning and I do think Keith is worth considering but I think the risks outweigh the benefits for this week. If your league plays through Week 17, though, I think Keith is a serious play then.

For this week, the one darkhorse who's really jumping out at me is Leon Washington. The Jets seem to be more interested in using him now and if they struggle to get much on the ground they may need to get him involved in the passing game (he's had 9 receptions the past three games).

Beat me to it.

I think Houston wins this game. Hard to say how involved Addai is going to be. I am starting Kolby Smith over him right now.
I'm doing the same. I have Addai, K. Keith, and Kolby Smith. I'm going with Smith this week, and if I get through to the championship, KK probably gets serious consideration. My opponent has already put up some good numbers with Big Ben and Bruce on Thursday, so I can't afford one of my RBs getting only 10 carries. At least I know Smith will be in there all day against a soft DET defense. Against a similarly-soft OAK defense a few weeks ago, Smith was 156/2.

Anybody actually starting both? I am considering it, since my flex spot I only have Javon Walker, Lamont Jordan or Kenton keith. Thinking about Addai and keith, because I feel I'd get the whole Colts running game no matter what. On the other hand, I am thinking jordan can grab some catches in Oakland, so I may roll with him.

In that "slim pickings" scenario I'd gamble on KK.

thanks Jeff, I have been considering it. Also, since i am here, I have been browsing these boards for a long time now, it's the first place I come to see what news is going on. Can I be put on a mailing list to be reminded when it's time to order your products next year, I haven't purchased services here, but I plan on it next year. Not a fluff piece, but thatnks for all the help. Thanks

Great endorsement for us eeflrat.I've tweaked your profile so you can get our emails, so that should let you know about our services for 2008.Right around the NFL Draft there will be the Early Bird Special and you can get the magazine too. Until then, be sure to hang out in the off-season - we have lots of good conversations going on then too.And Good Luck this week.

I am confidently starting KK as a #3 RB over S. Young, and D. Sproles, although Sproles wont be a factor till Week 17 (and thats a big if too, with Turner)With Parker out for the year, and Owens banged up right now, Dungy is too smart to risk injury here for nothing... Addai will play the first half max, but he has been banged all year, Dungy will rest him. Also if you've watched the Colts this year you would notice that KK has been given the chance in the RZ to finish drives after Addai is tired. I'm gonna say 60+yards and a score for KK this week, and 100/1 next week. Also remember that Manning will be pulled from this game, the Colts won't air it out with Sorgi behind center, they should pound it with their backs as much as they can.
