Week 17 - New England Patriots at New York Giants (1 Viewer)

I've seen and read infinitely more classlessness and unhinged bitterness from Patriot haters than I've seen from the Pats fans that they are so vehemently whining about.

Congrats to the Brady, Moss, Welker (leagues reception leader right now), and the rest of the Pats. I'm not a Pats fan, but they were definitely the highlight of this football season, which has been more entertaining and memorable than any season I can remember in quite some time.

So, do you guys see Brady, Moss, Bruschi and Vrabel getting together toasting champagne to the last undefeated team in the year 2047, 4 years after the NFL instituted the 18 game season?
No do not think htat will happen, since they do not serve alcohol in jail, I think Randy will be reading Vick's " I was here" in the big house.
You can always make your own from some leftover fruit peels.

Up Yours 1972 Dolphins!!!!

:clyde: :clyde: :clyde:
72 Dolphins won the SuperBowl. A little early for up yourses.
I could care less if they win the super bowl, just sick and tired of hearing about the 72 Dolphins.Bunch of old farts cherring evytime the last undefeated team loses, and sending champagne to the Chargers for beating the Colts.

Blah!!! Screw Them!!!!
:goodposting: I hope the Patsies take it all the way just to shut these guys up. I'll never forget the 1985 Bears-Fins game with Csonka on the sideline giving the Viking stare to the Da Bears and Griese with the hex.

The 72 Fins have been completely classless with the 07 Pats.

MAY THEY BURN IN HELL !!!!

Congrats to the pats couldnt have happened to a more humble team and fan base, class all the way.
:goodposting:
Is it even possible for a fan base to be cool, humble, and well-liked when their team is this successful? It's lonely at the top.If the Saints ever have a run like this, call me Dremel.
Doug, I thought about that as well, but the Saints had the best season in their history last year and I wasn't anywhere near as obnoxious as Patriot fans (BostonFred excluded. He's an outstanding fan).edit to add: good luck tomorrow, Saints

I havent had a problem with any other fan base/team in any sport, not the bulls in their runs, not the lakers, not the yankees (well yankees spending was annoying but they werent obnoxious about it). But anyway they are still class all around, go Pats win the SB would hate to ruin the greatest season ever.

Thinking more of a sustained run of success. Few people mind the one-season-wonder, plucky "loser" turning into champs. The Pats even had that factor going for them when they beat the Rams in the Super Bowl. Remember how the Rams were the tools and the Patriots were the awesome underdogs that put Martz in his place?

Instead of hiding behind a sweeping generalization of all Pats fans, call out the ones you are talking about. Who are these obnoxious fans and what is the behavior that is so distressing to you?

Yea no kidding i can't believe i rooted for both the Pats in that game and 2 years later as well as the red sox for all of their sorrow. Who would have thought that those wins would have changed the way Boston looks at the rest of the world forever.

look, i'm a giants fan and as much as this loss stings (as does the mitchell injury), even i agree that the pats haters on this board are just about the most ridiculous bunch of jealous toolboxes i've ever seen. far bigger collection of a-holes than the pats fans. just laughable, all you haters, and myopic, too, as your idiocy prevents you from realizingand appreciating that you're lucky enough to witness something that had never been done, and may never happen again, in NFL history. accept it: this team is a juggernaut and, worse, is clutch as hell and always finds ways to step up big when it counts. so if i were you i'd shut your pieholes and use that jealous, misguided, sheep-like rage to spur on your teams should they be in the playoffs.

I'll keep a Mr. Pickles type notebook of quotes from here on out.

Moss is to the 2007 Patriots what Dennis Rodman was for the 1996-98 Chicago Bulls... both have taken good-to-great teams and elevated them to a completely unprecedented level.

Just unreal. Absolutely unreal. And absolutely meaningless if they fail to win the Super Bowl.

look, i'm a giants fan and as much as this loss stings (as does the mitchell injury), even i agree that the pats haters on this board are just about the most ridiculous bunch of jealous toolboxes i've ever seen. far bigger collection of a-holes than the pats fans. just laughable, all you haters, and myopic, too, as your idiocy prevents you from realizingand appreciating that you're lucky enough to witness something that had never been done, and may never happen again, in NFL history. accept it: this team is a juggernaut and, worse, is clutch as hell and always finds ways to step up big when it counts. so if i were you i'd shut your pieholes and use that jealous, misguided, sheep-like rage to spur on your teams should they be in the playoffs.
What makes you think that jealousy has anything to do with it? When the Niners were having their run I enjoyed it even though the Steelers weren't winning SBs. Guys like Montana, Rice, Walsh, etc. were easy to appreciate. The Patriots, not so much.

Dang, if you were a Patriot fan you'd be the first in my new notebook.edit to add: Pat, maybe I was wrong. Maybe it was fans of other teams fawning over the Patriots that I was thinking about

Hated those guys back in the day ... they represented the glass ceiling the Saints could never rise above in the division.

The city is great, the ##### bag fans are what get to me

Hey, it is all cyclical....in a few years we will be down again, and someone like Seattle will be winning everything.
I don't remember ANY city having a run of dominance like this in one year. Red Sox, Revolution (almost won it all), Pats and Celtics. Unrivaled.
The Celtics haven't won anything and just got smacked by the Pistons at the Garden. They are not ready.
I wouldn't call Pierce missing a 10 foot J for the W "smacked". But, hey... you have your definition.

Who said I hate them? I don't know them, how could I hate them? I just don't appreciate how they conduct themselves, which makes it hard for me to appreciate their accomplishments. I just can't root for this team. And I can honestly say that hasn't happened very often.

Ok, I'll play. What about the way the Patriots conduct themselves annoys you so much? Seems to me like Brady, Bruschi, Vrabel, Samuel, A. Thomas, Seau, the offensive line, Moss and the rest of the Pats conduct themselves pretty well off the field as well as on the field.

NE hasn't looked very dominant against decent or good teams. Winning the next 3 against bvery good teams is going to be tough - and would put the 16-0 in 2nd place behind Miami.

Pats are the greatest team in the world with the best QB ever so they better win by at least 40. They are better than the colts and every other team at every single position, so they should win by 40.
