Week 17 - New England Patriots at New York Giants (1 Viewer)

Gotta give the Giants a lot of crdit for playing like this tonight. That's why these guys get paid to play. Great game so far.

I'm a long time Patriot fan,..but STUPID penalties and no pressure on the QB are a recipe for a loss in this league..N.E. needs to get it's act together in the 2nd half...

Now some serious ball control by Jacobs in the 2nd half could put some pressure on Brady and the Pats to make plays they otherwise would not. If the defense can take it up another notch, we could see some game-changing turnovers. NY has come to play here fellas. NY beating the 15-0 Pats in week 17 would be the equivalent of a hitter breaking up a perfect game in the 9th inning. What a great decision to nationally broadcast this game. Ad companies are grinning ear to ear. Another reason why I'm liking this game? All the drama and no fluffy halftime show. :lmao:

Wow, did Brady ever lift a weight in college?
How would Brady currently grade out in an NFL scouting type of combine compared to other NFL QB's?I mean, does he have a good arm vs. the average nfl QB? Is any of his success raw talent based? Or is he simply just an intelligent QB with good physical skills, and excellent intangibles and leadership?
Physically, hes now 6'4" 225 with one of the stronger arms in the league and decent foot speed :lmao: . He's in the proto-typical mold now.
Agreed.J
He's not Bledsoe slow, but not by much.

The funniest thing to me was how the league acted like they were doing everyone such a big favor in showing the game. And what it's turned out to be is a giant advertisement for arm twisting the cable companies into carrying their network. They should pay the networks to run this game for them.

:lmao: to the masters here.

J

Plenty fast enough though. He's a cheetah compared to Peyton Manning.J

Classless players, classless coach, classless organization. And people wonder why everyone outside of NE roots against this team.
:lmao: Bitter much?
Bitter about what? I just don't like to see people who lack character have success. I'd rather see the Colts win the next 10 SBs than the Patriots win even 1.
Because Vince Wilfork poked a guy in the eye? OK.
He didn't just try to poke him in the eye he did it with, intent to annoy.

I wish people would stop saying this is a meaningless game for the Giants. This is a team that wasnt close in either of their games against Dallas, got blown out by GB and Minny and lost their most recent game against the Redskins. Thats pretty much everyone on their schedule that was any good. They need to prove to themselves that they can play with the best teams in the league or they'll be one and done in the playoffs just like last year.

Lack of a pass rush is what is hurting them. After looking very good over the past few weeks, Seymour has been invisible tonight.

It's weird how Wilfork trying to blind a guy seems less flagrant than Romo (edit : Bill Romanowski) spitting in a guys face. You would have thought he pulled out a gun and fired at JJ Stokes, but Wilfork's move is brushed off by Collinsworth and company.

I thought it was a brilliant marketing move when I heard that the networks were going to be broadcasting the NFLN feed. I actually thought there might be even a few more NFLN ads.

I think Manning beats Brady in a straight ahead race. What were their 40 times coming into the NFL?

Everyone's accustomed to black on black crime...

Do you really think Brady's time is the same as when he entered the league? Every other measureable of his has increased significantly, why wouldnt this one as well?

Jacobs is difficult to tackle in the 2nd half, he wears everyone down. Pats need a lead

True or false?

1. If New England scores on this drive - they will win

2. If the Giants force a turnover on this drive - they will win

why is the umpire fake hugging the NE players?
Checking OL guys to make sure they don't have anything illegal on their jersey (like vaseline)J
And BTW, that's the kind of thing the league needs to be highlighting on this broadcast. They get access to stuff like this that the other networks don't. I'd be playing that up.The NFL Network promo film at halftime was outstanding. Lots of clips and footage there that even the most hardcore ESPN only viewer had never seen. Geniuses.J

God, please let me get to watch Justin Tuck play FOREVER in a Giants uniform....

TIA,

hood

Agreed, I respect the Giants and the coaching staff for playing like this. Now, if something happens to more Giants players in the 2nd half, Coughlin will be accused of being an idiot coach for putting his players in when they should be thinking of the playoffs but the Patriots are playing for history tonightThis is something if done will be talked about forever, the perfect season and you DON"T just hand them that. I completely agree with the decision to play 100 percent, this is NFL history we're talking about here.

that throw from Eli=stupidity

that throw from Brady=good effort to try and make something happen
