Week 2 DST streaming - Who ya got? (1 Viewer)

I'm deciding between grabbing Baltimore and using them for awhile or sticking with Houston (even @ NE next week)

Short bench league with transaction fee's and the weirdest scoring.

10 for shutout,  5 for under 150 passing (rare),  5 for under 100 rushing and 1 per Sack, Int, FR.

I'm also debating Texans (drafted) or Ravens (available).
Texans yearly schedule looks better.... Last week scared me and Cushing is hurt yet again.

Ravens have... Pitt x2, Oakland, GB, Possibly Luck later in the year.

Texans have... NE next week and KC, @ Seattle and Pitt Week 16

Totally giving up on Houston. Their O stinks and keeps the D out there so long that they are dead tied in the 4th Q. Going Baltimore this weekend.

Both Balt and Houston o-lines are bad... Maybe Watson will be better as the season progresses. He at least looks to Hopkins.

Went with the Rams in week 1 and it probably saved my bacon. I like the Ravens call this week and they are available in my league.  I'm also keeping an eye on the Jags during the season.  I think things are coming together and they will continue to rack up a ton of sacks this year.

Same here.  Grabbed Rams last week, and then snagged Balt this week.  I'm holding both right now, and most likely play the hot hand - or trade the coldest hand for something better that week (like whoever plays Cincy, Jets, or Indy).

I agree Oakland is a great stream but if you can't get them, this might work out well too.

Houston vs Cincy

Cincy's D was actually pretty good last week vs. the Ravens and now they play in a sort of must win game against a rookie QB who looked erratic at best in a sub role and now he starts. Don't forget it's a short week TNF horribly played football special just waiting to favor the defense.

If Baltimore is available in your league then grab them asap. I can't believe I agree with Weebs, but they were good last year and have upgraded. Plus with their lack of offensive weapons look for them to run the ball a lot and try to win time of possession. This will keep the defense fresh and aggressive.

Yea please don't agree with me. Now I'm second guessing myself.

Rams should be a good option again this week and then get SF next week.  Hosting Washington across the country and getting Aaron Donald back.

Wade Phillips puts together good to great Ds year after year.

I was only able to get Baltimore in 1 of my leagues so I'm going to hold rams for this week in the other two.

it's Baltimore at home vs rookie QB.
That rookie QB is better than anyone who is QB for the Jets and has some weapons with a run game and Coleman and Johnson to catch passes. Jets have no oline, no RB worth a dang and no WRs and a defense thatw ill give up a ton so the O will be playing from behind. Sacks and Ints likely, its possible the Browns upset the Ravens, the Browns dont look to be better, dont always sleep on them being able to score some points this year.

The Bills didnt do anything special vs the Jets. I like the Ravens better than the Raiders. When both teams have great matchups go with the better defense and thats Baltimore.

Lets be honest, is either a bad option? lol

Go with the one you can get and If someone cuts Arizona for some reason, scoop them against Indy.

We need to make this more a long the line of best matchups...since D are rostered in some league sand not in others because of streaming many that we dont expect are out there and can be over looked because of the talk of the lesser ranked defenses. Like Arizona is avail in another league of mine, but is their matchup better than Balt or Oak?

Once again leaving my Vikings D/ST on the bench in favor of Jacksonville. I'm not normally one to carry two defenses, but last year I lost three close games because my defense crapped the bed.

Jacksonville looks like the real deal. They built a nasty nasty pass rush and I think they're going to be an excellent source of sacks &  forced Fumbles.

After the BYE, I may try to package the Minnesota defense in a trade because I feel like Jacksonville's going to be a viable all year m long.

Both their starting corners have missed practice this week. FYI. ankles I think, not good for CBs.

this the ***official thread of the year?

rams and ravens aren't bad choices and both are on waivers for me.  i drafted philly.  gonna roll with bal

Miami for next week.  How in the hell are teams like Oakland and Baltimore and LAR on your wire Thursday afternoon?

I don't think it's as easy as everyone thinks it is.  Buffalo D did not do much against the Jets.

Plus the Houston O line allowed TEN sacks last week.  TEN!  And it's a Thursday game, typically low scoring.  Plus it's a rookie QB who might be hobbled and certainly didn't show much last week.

So why not Cincy at home vs rookie QB?  Cleveland rookie QB > Houston rookie QB.  Cleveland actually looked ok and gave Pittsburgh a tough run.

Carrying two defenses is almost essential.  More people are streaming and the advantage you can get is huge.  Last week my defense was my leading scorer and my QB threw 4 TDs.

Look at the Jags schedule. It's pretty eye popping how many terrible offenses they'll face. Jets, Indy twice, HOU again, AZ without DJ, and a tasty week 16 matchup against the 49ers. Mmmmmm

ETA: Vikes get Cinci at home in week 15. If I make the playoffs I love those matchups.

This is somewhat in order of preference.  I'm in a bunch of leagues, and the teams that are available varies quite a bit from league to league.

BAL - Very good last week, and I think they'll devour the rookie this week.  I agree that they won't be on waiver wires for long, and will be start-every-week option shortly.

OAK - Played pretty well last week as well, and the Jets are arguably the worst team in the NFL.

TB - Rested and ready to dismantle the Bears at home, with what should be a better defense than last year.  CHI will be playing from behind, most likely.  With a pretty poor set of passing weapons for the Bears, I could see the Bucs taking advantage with a pick-six.

CIN/HOU - One could make a pretty good argument for either side, really.

PIT - Not really streaming, since I drafted them wherever I could, but I like the chance of MIN coming back down to earth this week.  PIT will rattle Sam's cage a bit.

LAR - Donald is back, and Cousins is off to a rough start.

LAC - I like their pass rush, and Cutler is prone to make mistakes under pressure.

NYG - If OBJ is back, I think the defense will have a chance to be successful (in theory, they won't be on the field quite as much as last week).  Stafford isn't nearly the same QB outdoors/away from home.

ARI - Whether it's Tolzien or Brissett, the Colts are in trouble again this week.

we draft right before the season starts.  most of us are pretty hammered. :banned:     no pick ups allowed before the season starts.  this was the first waiver process.  the raiders d sucked BALLS last year.  the rams were middle of the pack at best, but i'll give you baltimore.  i was surprised no one bid on them(including me. it's real money with a salary cap)  i was very happy to get them for free.  if we have an opening next year, i'll hit you up ;)

I believe the Bucs are going to be pretty charged up they will be highly motivated emerging from the storm and playing hard for the fans. I'm going with them.
