Week 3 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

Etienne went down and looked like he tweaked something. Helped off but didn’t look serious. Likely cramps per sideline reporter

2nd & 10 at CAR 38

(7:23 - 2nd) (Shotgun) M.Sanders left guard to SEA 47 for 15 yards (D.Witherspoon; Ja.Reed). CAR-M.Sanders was injured during the play.

Mahomes hurt his ankle. Limping around, but stayed in the game. Probably should consider sitting him in the second half up 34-0.

From Dr. Chao

By video, suffered an inversion right ankle sprain when he was rolled up on at the end of the first half - could tape and continue but unlikely to play through today as score is out of hand - swelling may be an issue during the week but little chance to miss Sunday night game in W4 against the Jets - same ankle as last season during playoffs

{Looks up who is playing the Jets next week - it's the Chiefs} Assuming this is a Mahomes 'update'.

Surprised the week 4 page isn’t live with the injury article.

That feature usually is live by 1:00 PM ET. IT's up early this week. https://www.footballguys.com/article/2023-monday-injury-report-week4
I normally read it with a morning cup of coffee by 930-1030 am EST for years. All good. Glad it’s up.

Thanks. We had problems in past years with news coming out later in the morning that made an early morning report instantly out of date. Like the Mike Williams news today. We've tried to make it more useful and now will have it live on the site by 1:00 pm ET. We also mail this feature as well as we know some people like to see it that way.

It was nice to read the analysis early and guesses on the injuries and then the coach updates throughout the day in red font if they didn’t match up. Just my thoughts.

Thanks. We found it way better to get the best info we could and then send. Saves me lots of email replies from people doing the "Hey dumb*** surprised you don't have _________ injury" or "hey genius, Mike Williams is out" type stuff. There's never a perfect time to send as stuff can always happen later, but this way we're trying to get the best info we can for our readers. And for sure, we'll never get exactly what everyone wants but we'll do our best there. Thanks.

Sad to see all the injuries especially with Mike Williams. Hoping Derek Carr can make it back on the field soon though. There is something special with the New Orleans Saints. Could be a sneaky team.
