Week 3 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

I took Huggins as a dollar flyer at the end of my auction, leaving Hillis available, despite that I'd ranked Hillis ahead of Huggins prior to the auction.

I'd had a few beers, and I went for the better upside.

(Dumped Huggins for BenJarvus Green-Ellis this past Wednesday, but still...)

 
Last week I traded for SJax, gave up Colston and Santana for him and Jacoby Jones. Put him in my lineup with P. Thomas and Beanie Wells. All three had injury concerns/trouble today. Sometimes I really hate this brutal game. Hopefully my gamble pays off and SJax and Beanie are ok, but if PT has any lingering effects, I'm screwed.

 
I was up by over 50 points today. The only guys that my opponent had left? Mike Vick and Austin Collie. How strange is it to see a convicted dog killer and a guy with a dog breed as a last name cooperate to absolutely destroy me?

 
What the heck was I thinking? I have three very good WR's Fitz, S. Smith (South) and Marshall and all three have crap QB's that can't get them the ball!!!!! :wall: :lmao:

I'll top you to ease your pain. My lineup of Schuab, Gore, Rice, Best, Megatron, Boldin, Witten, Kaeding, 49ers got routed by Manning, S.Jax, Hills, Smith (NYG), Dre, Nicks, Zach Miller, Feely, Steelers.
 
This is my worst fantasy week ever.

League 1 - last week had 191 points, this week only 64 with Rodgers left. Thanks to Austin for not showing up, Best for getting injured, D Clark watching Collie catch everything, and Hightower having to share the load with Beanie. Lost Reggie Bush last week.

League 2 - lost big, and may have lost AJ with a high ankle sprain. Already lost Ryan Grant, Moreno, and Reggie Bush...and Portis is nicked up as well. Also have Austin here....as well as Eli Manning and Vernon Davis.

League 3 - I thought I had a nice backfield with MJD and DWill. :bag: Getting spanked again in that league.

 
I have Vick, SJax, Moss, Charles, Foster and will still lose to my opponent who had Flacco, CJ, Bradshaw, Marshall, and freaking Collie. This isn't my year.

27 point lead - only Marshall to go. Lucky no PPR - he scores 27 with that 30 yarder in the last minute to tie me. Nice defense Jets.

 
Lost Ray Rice and Jahvid Best in the same week right before bye weeks begin. Where I normally flex Best and have been tempted to play M. Williams (TB) most weeks, guess who has a week 4 bye. FML.

 
Hi, name's Clifford and this is my first time to the venting thread this season...

started Jahvid Best, Steven Jackson, and on the advice of many in the SP and on staff, Fred Taylor at flex. Needless to say I posted the low score for the week in my league.

 
I ran into the perfect storm yesterday as opponent had Vick, ADP and Collie in the starting lineup compared to my Best, Rice, Calvin and Nicks.....not too mention I left McFadden and Wallace on the bench. You'll have weeks like that, but to add insult to injury, both Rice and Best left early with injuries. It could be a long season. Is Week 4 here yet?

 
In a shallow league that gives pts for TD yards, I picked up DThomas & Clayton and passed on:

*Moore

*Spiller

Lloyd

RWilliams

*Bowe

McCluster

LWashington

Edwards

Hillis

* Where the ones I actually was giving consideration. I still say the two I picked up, although they didn't have great weeks, were very sound selections and still have more long term value for rest of year... AND I'M GOING TO KEEP TELLING MYSELF THAT.

P.S. HAS ANYBODY SEEN MEACHEM... ANYBODY... BUEHLER... BUEHLER?

I own Mike Wallace in my PPR auction league. No way he'll have any value while Charlie Batch is his quarterback, I figured. I started Deon Butler instead.

Now I'm going to lose unless I get 17 points from Chester Taylor tonight. Ugh.

 
lol, lost Kolb week 1, Mathews week 2, Rice and Best this week. Lowest points but 1 win means I can't even get the best guy on the waiver each week :thumbdown: . Oh well.

 
Second highest scorer this week and down by 14 points and I have Forte left. :confused: Sucks if I would have played anyone else this week I would have a win. So frustrating.

I think I can beat you.... Best, Andre Johnson, Rice, D Thomas all injured on my team....I am going to have to circle the wagons this week and make some ace pickups.
 
As if my week couldn't get any worse. I already lost this week, but the guy I was tied for first with had Clay Mathews, Lance Briggs, and Mason Crosby left. The guy he was going against had Rogers and Jennings.

He ended up squeaking out a THREE POINT WIN!! WTH??

I hate you Mike Mccarthy! I HATE YOU.

Take away that worthless end of half hail mary and he would have lost. If you sacked up, let the Bears get a quick TD, and gave your star QB a chance to win the game he probably could have driven down the field and possibly scored a TD. Or at least gotten 3 fantasy points passing the DANG BALL!

I'm 1-0 when starting Kolb, 0-2 when starting Micheal Vick. My dogs must be punishing me.
 
Lost by .08 points this week (108.15 - 108.23). Opponent had the GB DST, and if Forte could've just touched the goal line on those last couple of runs to the 1 inch line, I would have won. 1 catch, 1 tackle, or even 1 simple rushing yard to any of my players would have given me a win this week. :confused:

 
I lost by two points this week...as I watched Forte just suck all game long and especially right around the goal line. Nice work.
