Week 4 Bragging Thread (1 Viewer)

Started Sims-Walker over Braylon Edwards despite the much higher ranking given to Edwards by FBG.

Looking like a freaking genius so far in the first half. I don't care who's throwing the ball to Edwards - Cleveland sucks this year.

Drafted Miami Defense.

Dropped Miami to pick up the NO Saints defense before Game 1.

Why? Saw it mentioned somewhere that the Saints Defense was #1 in the Pre-season; and thought.. Hey, what the heck, its just a D..

:pickle:

:o

Dear David Garrard, thank you for holding the fort while Donovan McNabb was injured/on bye. Scratch that, thank you for performing at QB1 levels during tha time, and capping it off with your best performance today. On the negative side, am I actually going to have a QB decision going forward? Hmmmmmmmmm.

Just one of those great days.

Started Brady, R Moss, S Smith (NYG), R. Brown, K. Smith, V. Davis. Simms-Walker was sitting on my bench. Demolition!

picked up the 49ers def last week for this week (eagles on a bye). wow. never expected 3 TDs and a shutout.

Really glad to see Antonio Gates return to form, as he had been held out of the end zone. 2 TDs, sweet.

MSW, stud in the making? Sure hope so!

FFPC league.

Benched 1st round pick. LT2. 3rd round pick. Portis. and 5th round pick Braylon Edwards

Started 13th round pick Mendenhall. Waiver wire find Jerome Harrison. and Waiver wire sensation Simms Walker!

I would say that it worked out EXCELLENT for THE AZZclowns this week!

BTW: Even though Portis played, he played hurt and did not look like normal.

Kindly

Johnny

We got laughed at for having Sims-Walker a year ago in WCOFF league for a few weeks as a #6. Now that we drafted/added him 2 weeks ago in 5 FFOC teams and 3 other teams, played him in all 8 today we feel good. I also added Hakeem Nicks in a FFOC league prior to kick off and he had a nice TD. Feels good when some of your long shots hit.

Good luck to you all and enjoy MNF! I will be at the dome for the 2nd week in a row!

I think I'll be getting a W in both my main leagues this week. Thanks are due to the following:

Steve Smith, Antonio Gates, David Garrard

and many others, but particularly those three!

As long as ADP has a decent night, I will be 4-0 in both my leagues.

Best move this week was getting Miami's defense off the waiver wire...DTD, 3 int, 6 sacks, 10 points allowed....23 points. Now all ADP needs is 9 points for the W.

Thanks to Eli, Coffee, Rice, MSW, Megatron, Wayne and the Bungles D for all scoring in double digits for me this week. Only Rian Lindell wasn't able to help out. ;)

The Nittany Beavers go to 4-0 with a thrashing of It's Showtime!!!!

Hm. 4-0 this week. Marcedes Lewis in my main league did a great job filling in for Tony Gonzo as a bye-week replacement. Started Pierre Thomas over more highly regarded Steven Jackson for the week. OK. Enough of that. That felt weird. Back to the whining thread talking about my mistakes. lol

PPR league

Flacco

Ray Rice

Nate Washington (flex RB/WR so DeAngelo out)

Reggie Wayne

Steve Smith NYG

Antonio Gates

49ers

Vinatieri

Had a pretty good week

I am proud of a couple of moves/plays I made this week:

1) Starting 49ers D over NYJ

2) Started Brandon Marshall after waiting for him to get on same page as the team.

3) Started Donald Brown at flex--his 11 points aren't earth shaking but it was the best decision. I figured he has been getting more than a fair share of goal line opportunities and he came through with a Td.

4) Ronnie Brown: I figured the team would lean on the Wildcat more with Pennington out and he is in the top 6 RBs in my league scoring.

Gates was also huge but starting him was a no brainer, as was Ocho Cinco and Ray Rice.

I ended up with 182 points.

Started the dynamic passing duo of M. Moore to H. Miller. Both just picked up off waivers on Sun morning as bye week and injury fillers. :ptts:

THE Steve Smith & MSW went nuclear. Peyton, Rice & K Smith followed up, and Heath sealed it. Nice work guys...Not you, Bills D.

Added the Niner defense and Sims-Walker early in the week, started them both along with Garrard. Trifecta! My team's score now stands as the highest in the league so far this season (and the highest single week score at the end of the season = :goodposting: ), more than 30 points higher than any other team's score this week.

It wasn't pretty. My two best scorers this week (Favre and Brown) were on my bench. Debated between picking up the Bengals and Niners defense for the Eagles bye, and picking up the Bengals.

I still won...4 and 0.

It helped that my opponent's first three round draft choices were Gore, Fitzgerald and Ryan.

Oh, and my beloved Bengals....tied for first place and going for undisputed first place next week.

4-0 despite Brees killing me the last 2 weeks. Last week had MJD go off and win by 2, and this week had Gates blow up on Sunday night and win by one.

Luck is 90% of FF.
